How to Upgrade Weapons and Armor
When forging equipment in Welcome to Elderfield, one thing we should always remember is that many recipes require the previous version of an item.
For example, upgrading from a Copper Staff to an Iron Staff requires us to have the Copper Staff first. The same system applies to much of the armor progression, where Copper equipment becomes Iron equipment, Iron becomes Verdite, and Verdite can eventually be upgraded into Platinum gear.
Because of this, I recommend checking the full upgrade path before selling older equipment. You may need that item later as part of the next recipe.
Combining and Upgrading Equipment
The Forge also includes a Combine section, while equipment upgrades can involve additional systems depending on what we want to improve.
To add gems to weapons and armor, we need to use a Lapidary Table. This is important if we want to further customize our equipment instead of relying only on the base stats from forging.
