Season 10 is here, and figuring out which Hero Siege builds are actually worth investing in is a little trickier than usual. There was no public beta before launch, so some of the current rankings are based on the patch changes, previous-season performance, and how the skills are expected to behave with the new balance changes.
That means I wouldn’t treat every placement below as set in stone. A few builds look extremely safe already, while others need more real Season 10 testing before we can say for sure where they belong.
For now, Bone Shred, Gunner Drones, Shield Wall, and Anchor Swing are some of the strongest leveling choices, while Flicker, Frost Sunder, Chainsaw Slash, and Anchor Swing stand out once you reach endgame.
Hero Siege Season 10 Ebontharn Tier List – Best Classes
The leveling meta is quite different from the endgame meta. From the early levels through the Hero Level unlocks, you’re mainly looking for builds that don’t need expensive gear to start clearing efficiently.
| Build | Class | Tier | Why It’s Good |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bone Shred | Necromancer | S | Extra projectiles at level 5 make early clearing extremely easy |
| Gunner Drones | Marksman | S | Strong ranged damage with excellent mobility |
| Shield Wall | Shield Lancer | S | Becomes extremely comfortable after level 16 |
| Anchor Swing | Pirate | S | Buffed base damage and excellent clearing |
| Lightning Fury | Paladin | A | Reliable damage and consistent progression |
| Totems | Shaman | A | Safe elemental damage and good flexibility |
| Odin’s Fury | Viking | A | Strong AoE after unlocking at level 24 |
| Scorching Aura | Pyromancer | A | Base damage improvements make it much better |
| Explosive Kunai | Samurai | A | Strong boss damage, but needs its key item |
| Sand Gush | Nomad | B | Weak early, but becomes much better after level 16 |
Bone Shred – S Tier
If you’re looking for an easy character to start Season 10 with, Bone Shred Necromancer is one of the first builds I’d consider.
The big reason is how early the build comes online. Extra projectiles become available at level 5, so you’re not waiting until the middle of the campaign before your main ability starts feeling good.
The Season 10 base damage buff makes this even better. You can clear groups without needing a mountain of gear, which is exactly what you want from a leveling build.
Gunner Drones – S Tier
Gunner Drones Marksman is another excellent leveling option, especially if you prefer staying away from enemies.
The ranged damage gives you plenty of room to play safely, while the drone setup adds strong clearing potential. Once the drone becomes available around level 30, the build gets another noticeable boost.
It’s also one of the better choices if you don’t want to throw away your character after reaching the endgame. Marksman has enough scaling to remain useful well beyond the campaign.
Shield Wall – S Tier
Shield Wall has a slightly awkward start.
The build can feel rough before level 16, so don’t judge it too quickly if the first few areas aren’t blowing up instantly.
Once it comes together, however, the experience changes considerably. With relatively inexpensive Arcane gear, Shield Wall can carry you through the rest of the leveling process without demanding an overly complicated setup.
Anchor Swing – S Tier
Anchor Swing is one of those skills that was already good and then received additional help from the Season 10 changes.
The base damage increase makes its leveling performance even more attractive, especially when you’re dealing with large groups.
There is one important caveat, though: the skill’s range scaling was reduced this season. That’s something worth watching as more players get into the new season and start testing the build properly.
For now, though, it’s still one of the safest leveling recommendations.
Other Strong Leveling Options
Lightning Fury Paladin sits comfortably in A tier thanks to its reliable clear and overall consistency. It’s one of those builds that rarely feels terrible, which is valuable when you’re simply trying to push through the campaign.
Totems Shaman also benefits indirectly from the current patch. Several competing classes lost access to their old spammable teleport setups, making the Shaman’s ability to place damage and move around the battlefield more appealing.
Odin’s Fury Viking starts becoming interesting once you unlock it around level 24. The AoE is strong, although the boss damage isn’t quite as impressive.
Scorching Aura Pyromancer received a base damage increase after struggling in previous seasons, so it’s another build worth considering if you want to play Pyromancer.
Explosive Kunai Samurai can hit bosses extremely hard, but there’s a catch: its important payoff item comes from a specific Act 8 zone. So while the build has plenty of potential, it isn’t necessarily the smoothest option for every fresh character.
Why I’m Not Recommending Age of Proliferation
Age of Proliferation deserves a warning because it can make the beginning of the game look incredibly easy.
It’s one of the fastest leveling options available early on, but that speed doesn’t carry over particularly well once you move beyond the campaign.
If your only goal is reaching the end of the campaign as quickly as possible, it’s perfectly usable.
If you want one character that you can continue developing into endgame, I’d rather start with Bone Shred, Gunner Drones, Anchor Swing, or one of the other builds above.
Hero Siege Season 10 Endgame Tier List
Once you reach Hero Level content, the rankings change quite a bit.
Some skills that are amazing during leveling lose momentum, while builds that need augments or proper gear suddenly become much more attractive.
| Build | Class | Tier | Why It’s Strong |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flicker | Bard | S | Extremely fast clearing and excellent mobility |
| Frost Sunder | Jötunn | S | Avoided the major changes in the patch |
| Chainsaw Slash | Redneck | S | Excellent boss damage with decent gear |
| Anchor Swing | Pirate | S | Remains strong beyond leveling |
| Demon Spawn Bone Barrage | Demonspawn | S | Strong skeleton damage and scaling |
| Blood Tendrils | Demonspawn | A | Strong alternative Demonspawn setup |
| Fist of the Heavens | Paladin | A | Great projectile clear and boss shotgun potential |
| Cannonball | Pirate | B | Needs a good weapon before it really shines |
Flicker – S Tier
If speed is your priority, Flicker Bard is difficult to ignore.
The build’s mobility and clearing speed make it one of the most attractive choices for quickly moving through endgame content.
The changes to teleport mechanics also affect how other classes compete with it, which makes Flicker’s mobility advantage even more noticeable.
Frost Sunder – S Tier
Frost Sunder is in a very comfortable position simply because the Season 10 patch didn’t hit it with any major changes.
That doesn’t mean it suddenly became stronger than everything else. It means the build that was already performing well last season gets to keep doing its thing while some competitors have to adjust.
For players who want a relatively safe endgame investment, Frost Sunder is one of the obvious choices.
Chainsaw Slash – S Tier
Chainsaw Slash Redneck is another build I’d put high on the endgame list.
Once you have decent gear behind it, the build can tear through bosses extremely quickly.
It’s not necessarily the first build I’d recommend to someone completely new to Hero Siege, but for experienced players looking for strong boss damage, it deserves serious consideration.
Anchor Swing – S Tier
Anchor Swing makes an appearance in both tier lists.
That’s important because not every leveling build can make that transition successfully.
The Pirate setup still has excellent clearing potential at higher levels, although the range change from this patch is something I would keep an eye on before calling it completely untouchable.
Demon Spawn Bone Barrage – S Tier
Bone Barrage gives Demonspawn a very strong endgame option.
The skeletons can put out serious damage, and the build scales well once you’re working with Hero Level content and better gear.
If you like the Necromancer-style playstyle but want something that remains relevant later, this is one of the builds worth testing.
Blood Tendrils – A Tier
Blood Tendrils is the other Demonspawn setup I’d keep on the radar.
It doesn’t quite get the same S-tier placement as Bone Barrage here, but it’s still a strong alternative and can perform well enough to justify building around it.
If you enjoy Demonspawn and don’t like the feel of Bone Barrage, Blood Tendrils is worth trying rather than abandoning the class entirely.
The Teleport Changes Matter More Than They Look
One of the biggest changes affecting the Season 10 meta isn’t actually a direct damage nerf.
Stormweaver, Jötunn, and Amazon all had their teleport abilities changed from spammable skills into charge-based movement.
That has a big impact on how these classes feel during actual gameplay.
Stormweaver is the biggest loser for me because teleport mobility was such a major part of why I liked the class previously. I’d currently place it around B tier rather than automatically recommending it as one of the best options.
Jötunn also takes a hit from the change, although Frost Sunder is a special case because the build itself avoided the relevant nerfs.
Amazon comes out of the changes in a somewhat better position than the other affected classes. It’s still viable, but it doesn’t have quite the same standout status it had before.
Builds I’m Still Watching
There are a few builds where I’d rather be honest about the uncertainty than pretend the current rankings are final.
Scorching Whip – Exo
I could see Scorching Whip landing around S tier, but there’s not enough detailed information about how the build should actually be played at a high level.
Until there’s a proper breakdown and more people have tested it, I’m keeping some distance from a definitive ranking.
Blender – Butcher
Blender is probably the most confusing one.
Some runs make it look like an S-tier build almost immediately. Other times, it feels much less impressive.
That huge difference makes it difficult to confidently place it without more Season 10 data.
Anchor Swing – Pirate
Yes, I’m mentioning it again.
The per-point range scaling was reduced from 70% to 20%, which is a significant change.
I still have Anchor Swing in S tier because its overall performance looks strong, but this is probably the build I’d watch most closely as actual Season 10 testing accumulates.
Caustic Spearhead
Caustic Spearhead could absolutely end up being one of the best Amazon endgame builds.
The problem is that the actual proc rate behind its new poison synergy hasn’t been clearly established yet.
Until we know how frequently everything triggers in real gameplay, I’d rather call it a promising build than guarantee an S-tier placement.
Best Hero Siege Season 10 Classes for Beginners
If you’re completely new to Hero Siege and don’t want to spend your first character figuring out a complicated build, these are the classes I’d look at first.
| Class | Why It’s Beginner Friendly |
|---|---|
| Viking | Good overall balance with built-in defensive options |
| Marksman | Safe ranged gameplay and strong progression |
| Paladin | Reliable damage with useful healing and damage reduction |
| Demonspawn | Fun caster gameplay that comes online fairly quickly |
| Stormweaver | Previously extremely beginner-friendly, but teleport changes make it less certain |
Viking
Viking is probably the most straightforward all-rounder on this list.
You can build toward a physical setup or use its shout for an Arcane-focused playstyle, giving you room to experiment without immediately locking yourself into one approach.
Marksman
Marksman is the class I’d most often recommend to someone who simply wants a safe first character.
You have ranged damage, strong early progression, and enough endgame potential that you don’t need to worry about immediately replacing the character once the campaign ends.
Paladin
Paladin is another forgiving option.
It feels useful from relatively early on, and the healing nova provides ongoing damage reduction, which can save you from plenty of mistakes while you’re still learning the game.
Demonspawn
Demonspawn offers a nice middle ground for players who want a caster without making the early game unnecessarily complicated.
The class comes online fairly quickly, although its early ramp can feel a little slower compared with the very fastest leveling options.
Stormweaver
I used to put Stormweaver near the top of any beginner recommendation list.
The recent teleport changes make me less confident about that now. The class is still playable, but losing the old spammable mobility changes the feel of the character quite a bit.
For leveling, my safest S-tier picks are Bone Shred, Gunner Drones, Shield Wall, and Anchor Swing.
For endgame, Flicker, Frost Sunder, Chainsaw Slash, Anchor Swing, and Demon Spawn Bone Barrage are the builds I’d prioritize.
The biggest thing to remember is that Season 10 is still new. Some of these rankings are much more certain than others, particularly where the patch notes don’t provide enough information about actual proc rates, range behavior, or how a skill performs with a complete endgame setup.
So don’t feel like you have to reroll immediately because one build moved from S to A on a tier list. A build that fits your playstyle and has a smooth progression path can be much better for your account than chasing whatever currently sits at the very top.
