As you explore Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, you’ll collect plenty of weapons, items, and Rupees. However, your starting ammo capacity and wallet size can make things difficult, especially when you need more arrows, bombs, or money for your adventure.
Thankfully, you can upgrade your Deku Stick and Deku Nut bags, Deku Seed bag, Bomb Bag, Arrow Quiver, and wallets by completing mini-games and side quests. Some upgrades are easy to get early on, while others require you to progress further into the story or collect Gold Skulltula Tokens.
In this guide, I’ll show you where to find every ammo and wallet upgrade, what you need to unlock each one, and how to complete the challenges to earn them.

Wallet Upgrades
Adult’s Wallet – Collect 10 Gold Skulltula Tokens
The Adult’s Wallet increases your maximum Rupee capacity to 500. To get it, you’ll need to collect 10 Gold Skulltula Tokens.
After collecting the tokens, visit the cursed family’s house in the southeast part of Kakariko Village. Speak to the head of the family to receive your reward.
Giant’s Wallet – Collect 30 Gold Skulltula Tokens
The Giant’s Wallet raises your maximum Rupee capacity to 1,000. You’ll need to collect 30 Gold Skulltula Tokens to unlock it.
Return to the cursed family’s house in Kakariko Village and speak to the head of the family again to claim the upgrade.
Gold Skulltulas can be found throughout Hyrule, often hidden behind objects or in places you can only reach with specific items. Keep an eye out for their distinctive golden appearance and collect their tokens whenever you find them.
Bomb Bag Upgrades
Bigger Bomb Bag – Stop the Rolling Goron
You can get the Bigger Bomb Bag after completing Dodongo’s Cavern and obtaining bombs.
Return to Goron City and head to the second floor. You’ll find a Goron rolling around the area. Look for a wooden sign in the back-right corner that marks the spot where you need to stop him.
Wait until the Goron enters the covered section of his route on your right. Place a bomb beside the sign so it explodes as he reaches the marked spot.
Once the Goron stops rolling, speak to him to receive the Bigger Bomb Bag.
Biggest Bomb Bag – Complete Bombchu Bowling
The Biggest Bomb Bag is a reward from the Bombchu Bowling mini-game in Hyrule Castle Town.
After defeating King Dodongo and obtaining the Spiritual Stone of Fire, return to the town square and enter the Bombchu Parlor on the left side. Speak to the owner to start the mini-game.
You’ll need to guide Bombchus toward the target on the wall. Take your time lining up each shot, and make sure Link is facing the correct direction before placing a Bombchu.
Complete the required rounds to earn the Biggest Bomb Bag. The first prize gives you Bombchus to use, while the later prize rewards you with the upgraded bag.
Deku-Seed Bag Upgrades
Bigger Deku-Seed Bag – Hyrule Castle Town Shooting Gallery
The Bigger Deku-Seed Bag is one of the earliest ammo upgrades you can get.
In Hyrule Castle Town, find the Shooting Gallery near the road leading to Hyrule Castle. Pay 10 Rupees to play.
Your goal is to hit all 10 targets in one attempt using the Fairy Slingshot. Some targets remain still, while others move across the upper part of the gallery.
Take your time with the moving targets and aim carefully. Hit all 10 to receive the Bigger Deku-Seed Bag, which increases your capacity to 40 Deku Seeds.
Biggest Deku-Seed Bag – Lost Woods Bullseyes
The Biggest Deku-Seed Bag is available in the Lost Woods.
From the Kokiri Forest entrance, take the right path to reach an area with a large target hanging from a tree. Use your Fairy Slingshot to hit the red center of the target three times in a row.
If you land three consecutive bullseyes, a Deku Scrub will appear and reward you with the Biggest Deku-Seed Bag.
Deku-Stick Bag Upgrades
Bigger Deku-Stick Bag – Buy It from a Business Scrub
Enter the Lost Woods from Kokiri Forest and take the left path, then turn left again. You’ll reach an area with a Gossip Stone in the back-left corner.
Look to the right of the Gossip Stone to find a Business Scrub hiding underground. Use your shield to reflect its projectile back at it.
Once the Business Scrub is stunned, speak to it. It will offer to sell you the Bigger Deku-Stick Bag for 40 Rupees. Buy it to increase your capacity to 20 Deku Sticks.
The Business Scrub will also refill your current supply for free.
Biggest Deku-Stick Bag – Wear the Skull Mask
To get the Biggest Deku-Stick Bag, you’ll need the Skull Mask from the Happy Mask Shop quest.
Once you have the mask, return to the Lost Woods as Child Link and follow this route from the entrance:
Right → Left → Right → Left → Left
You’ll arrive in a small grove with two Business Scrubs. Reflect their projectiles with your Deku Shield, then use a bomb to destroy the cracked grey circle on the ground. Drop into the hole.
Inside, approach the tree stump in front of the Deku Sprouts and equip the Skull Mask. After the cutscene, speak to the larger Deku Scrub on the right to receive the Biggest Deku-Stick Bag.
Deku Nut Bag Upgrades
Bigger Deku Nut Bag – Buy It in the Lost Woods
Before entering the Sacred Grove by following Saria’s Song, look for a large rock that can be destroyed with a bomb. Blow it up and drop into the hole beneath it.
You’ll find two Business Scrubs in the underground area. Reflect their projectiles with your shield to stun them.
Speak to the Business Scrub on the left, and it will offer to sell you the Bigger Deku Nut Bag for 40 Rupees.
Biggest Deku Nut Bag – Wear the Mask of Truth
The Biggest Deku Nut Bag requires you to complete the Happy Mask Shop quest and obtain the Mask of Truth. You’ll get the Mask of Truth after selling the Bunny Hood and returning to the shopkeeper.
Once you have it, return to the Lost Woods grove where you obtained the Biggest Deku-Stick Bag. Follow the same route from the Kokiri Forest entrance:
Right → Left → Right → Left → Left
Stand on the tree stump in front of the Deku Sprouts and equip the Mask of Truth. After the cutscene, speak to the Deku Scrub to claim the Biggest Deku Nut Bag.
Arrow Quiver Upgrades
Bigger Arrow Quiver – Kakariko Village Shooting Gallery
After completing the Forest Temple, visit Kakariko Village as Adult Link. You’ll find a Shooting Gallery south of the village, across from the Cucco Lady’s house.
Pay to enter the mini-game and use your bow to hit all 10 targets. This challenge is trickier than the child Link Shooting Gallery because more targets move.
Wait for the spinning targets to face you before shooting, since they’re much harder to hit from the side. Hit all 10 targets to earn the Bigger Arrow Quiver.
Biggest Arrow Quiver – Gerudo Fortress Horseback Archery
The Biggest Arrow Quiver is earned through the horseback archery mini-game in Gerudo Fortress.
First, go to Gerudo Valley as Adult Link and cross the broken bridge with Epona. Speak to the foreman at the camp, then head to Gerudo Fortress and rescue the captured carpenters.
After freeing them, you’ll receive the Gerudo Pass, allowing you to explore the fortress without being attacked or thrown into jail.
Go to the southeastern corner of the fortress and find the horseback archery range. Speak to the woman under the awning and start the mini-game.
Ride Epona and shoot targets as you pass them. Aim for the red bullseyes to earn the most points, and try to reach at least 1,400 points. You don’t need to focus on the large vases if you can consistently hit the targets.
Reach the score requirement to receive the Biggest Arrow Quiver, which lets you carry up to 50 arrows.
