If you’re trying to build the strongest possible Round Table in Sovereign Tower, knowing a knight’s visible stats isn’t enough. Several knights have hidden attributes that can significantly change how well they perform on quests, while their favorite meals and quest preferences can make a big difference to affinity.
This guide covers all 24 recruitable knights, including their starting stats, armor, hidden attributes, favorite meals, quest preferences, recruitment methods, and notable special traits.
Sovereign Tower Knights Guide – Stats & Portraits, Hidden Attributes
Every knight has six core stats, each normally ranging from 0 to 15:
| Stat | What It Represents |
|---|---|
| Strength | Physical power |
| Agility | Speed, dexterity, and mobility |
| Charisma | Persuasion and social presence |
| Magic | Magical aptitude |
| Wits | Intelligence, perception, and deduction |
| Luck | Fortune |
Quest requirements use these stats to determine the final outcome. A knight who significantly exceeds a quest’s requirements contributes more toward the party’s score, while failing to meet requirements can hurt the result.
The main score thresholds are:
- +10: Critical Success
- +5: Great Success
- 0: Success
- -5: Major Failure
- -10: Critical Failure
Great Success increases rewards by 1.5×, while Critical Success increases them by 2×.
Stats, including bonuses from equipment, are ultimately capped at 15 when used for quest scoring.
Knight Levels and XP
Knights can reach Level 15. Each level-up gives one stat point that can be placed into any stat that has not reached 15.
| Level | Total XP |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0 |
| 2 | 12 |
| 3 | 25 |
| 4 | 40 |
| 5 | 58 |
| 6 | 77 |
| 7 | 97 |
| 8 | 117 |
| 9 | 138 |
| 10 | 160 |
| 11 | 183 |
| 12 | 207 |
| 13 | 235 |
| 14 | 265 |
| 15 | 300 |
XP comes from quest results and Training Ground cycles. Failed quests give no XP, while successful quests give progressively more depending on the quality of the result.
Affinity
Affinity ranges from -10 to +10, with most knights starting at 0.
You can increase affinity by:
- Assigning knights to quests they like
- Giving them a favorite meal
- Making decisions that match their preferred sovereign archetype
A liked quest or condition gives +1.33 affinity, while a disliked quest or condition gives -0.75 affinity.
Most knights resign when their affinity reaches -7. Alwena and Ari are the exceptions, as their resignation thresholds are effectively unreachable.
Affinity is also important because free-time conversations unlock much of a knight’s story and progression.
Favorite Meals
There are six meals in Sovereign Tower:
- Galette-Saucisse
- Croque-Monsieur
- Préfou
- Crêpe
- Brizhian Butter Shortbread
- Lion’s Taco
Giving a knight a favorite meal provides +1.5 affinity and +0.5 quest score.
Known and Hidden Attributes
Knight attributes are divided into two categories.
Known attributes are visible as soon as you recruit the knight.
Hidden attributes are active from the beginning but aren’t immediately revealed to you. They can be discovered through conversations, quest outcomes, and story events.
Some hidden attributes are marked as Intendant rumors. Once Alwena joins your staff, she can gradually reveal these rumors.
Quest Types
The main quest types are:
- Hunt
- Assassination
- Relic Recovery
- Diplomacy
- Scouting
- Confrontation
- Duel
- Competition
- Research
- Rescue
- Knight Quest
Quest conditions include Flying Creature, Water, Cute Creature, Climbing, Woods, Crowd, Cave, Ghost, Track, Big Creature, Magic Ritual, Heavy Lifting, Investigation, Help, At Night, Musical, Unethical, Dragon, Need Flying Mount, Intimidation, and People Involved.
Sovereign Styles
Some knights also react to the way you rule the kingdom.
The five sovereign archetypes are:
- Tyrannic
- Wise
- Kind
- Audacious
- Omniscient
Matching a knight’s preferred style improves affinity, while choosing a disliked style reduces it.
