Scavland Crafting Guide – Equipment Crafting Recipes

Scavland gives you plenty of materials while you explore and loot different areas, but not everything you pick up is just useless junk taking up space in your backpack. Many of these items are important for crafting equipment, making medical supplies, and repairing your weapons and armor.

In this post, I’ll show you all the known Scavland crafting recipes and the exact materials required for each one. We’ll go through equipment, medicine, weapon-related items, and some of the resources that are worth keeping when you’re managing your inventory.

Crafting can become confusing once your backpack starts filling up with Scrap Metal, Plastic Scrap, Chemical Waste, and other materials. Some recipes can also be made in different ways, so I’ve included the alternative recipes too. This should help you decide which materials to use based on what you currently have available.

Scavland Crafting Guide – Equipment Crafting Recipes

Crafting in Scavland is closely connected to the game’s looting and survival mechanics. As you explore, you’ll collect different materials that can later be turned into useful equipment, medical items, and repair tools.

One useful part of the system is that you can combine several materials into a single crafted item. This can help free up some inventory space instead of carrying around every individual piece of junk you find.

For example, Plastic Scrap, Chemical Waste, and Worm Skin can be combined to make Glue. That Glue can then be used as part of several other crafting recipes.

Some items also have alternative recipes. Usually, one version lets you use an already crafted item, while the other requires you to provide all of the raw materials needed to make that item yourself.

Note: The crafting system is still being developed, and some players have reported missing quality-of-life features related to crafting and storage. Recipe requirements and crafting mechanics may change in future updates.

Scavland Equipment Crafting Recipes

Glue

To craft Glue, you need:

  • Plastic Scrap ×1
  • Chemical Waste ×1
  • Worm Skin ×1

Glue is an important crafting component, so it’s worth holding onto whenever you make it.

Field Repair Kit (Threads)

You can craft the Field Repair Kit (Threads) in two different ways.

Recipe 1:

  • Scrap of Fabric ×2
  • Scrap Metal ×2
  • Glue ×1

Alternative Recipe:

  • Scrap of Fabric ×2
  • Scrap Metal ×2
  • Plastic Scrap ×1
  • Chemical Waste ×1
  • Worm Skin ×1

The second version basically replaces the Glue with all of the raw materials needed to craft Glue.

Sewing Kit

The Sewing Kit also has two available crafting combinations.

Recipe 1:

  • Scrap Metal ×2
  • Field Kit ×1
  • Glue ×1

Alternative Recipe:

  • Scrap Metal ×4
  • Scrap of Fabric ×2
  • Plastic Scrap ×2
  • Chemical Waste ×2
  • Worm Skin ×2

If you already have a Field Kit and Glue available, I recommend using the first recipe because it requires fewer raw materials.

Repair of Worn Armor

To repair worn armor, you can use either of these recipes.

Recipe 1:

  • Sewing Kit ×1
  • Glue ×1
  • Pliers ×1

Alternative Recipe:

  • Scrap Metal ×4
  • Scrap of Fabric ×2
  • Plastic Scrap ×3
  • Chemical Waste ×3
  • Worm Skin ×3
  • Pliers ×1

You’ll need Pliers regardless of which recipe you choose, so I wouldn’t recommend selling them if you plan to repair your armor later.

Scavenger Armor Repair

For Scavenger Armor Repair, you have another choice between using crafted components or starting with raw materials.

Recipe 1:

  • Repair of Worn Armor ×1
  • Field Kit ×1
  • Pliers ×1

Alternative Recipe:

  • Scrap Metal ×6
  • Scrap of Fabric ×4
  • Plastic Scrap ×4
  • Chemical Waste ×4
  • Worm Skin ×4
  • Pliers ×2

The first option can save you time and materials if you already have the required crafted repair items.

Scavland Medicine Crafting Recipes

Moonshine

To craft Moonshine, you need:

  • Flask ×1
  • Chemical Waste ×1
  • Overripe Potato ×1

Moonshine is one of the ingredients needed for crafting Bandages.

Bandage

To make a Bandage, you need:

  • Scrap of Fabric ×4
  • Moonshine ×1

Because Bandages are useful medical supplies, it’s worth keeping enough fabric and Moonshine around when preparing for dangerous runs.

Morphine

To craft Morphine, you need:

  • Scrap Metal ×1
  • Plastic Scrap ×1
  • Medicinal Herb ×1

Morphine is also used as part of the First Aid Kit AI-2 recipe.

First Aid Kit AI-2

There are two ways to craft the First Aid Kit AI-2.

Recipe 1:

  • Plastic Scrap ×2
  • Chemical Waste ×2
  • Morphine ×1

Alternative Recipe:

  • Plastic Scrap ×3
  • Chemical Waste ×2
  • Scrap Metal ×1
  • Medicinal Herb ×1

If you already have Morphine crafted, the first recipe is the simpler option.

Scavland Weapon Crafting and Repair Recipes

Gun Lubricant

To craft Gun Lubricant, you need:

  • Plastic Scrap ×1
  • Chemical Waste ×1
  • WG-40 ×1

This is one of the useful materials to keep around when you’re dealing with weapon maintenance.

Cleaning Rod

To craft a Cleaning Rod, you need:

  • Scrap Metal ×2
  • Scrap of Fabric ×2

The Cleaning Rod is later used when crafting Field Tools for Weapons.

Field Tools for Weapons

You can craft Field Tools for Weapons using either a completed Cleaning Rod or its raw components.

Recipe 1:

  • Cleaning Rod ×1
  • Screwdriver ×1
  • Hammer ×1

Alternative Recipe:

  • Scrap Metal ×2
  • Scrap of Fabric ×2
  • Screwdriver ×1
  • Hammer ×1

The alternative recipe simply skips the step of crafting the Cleaning Rod separately.

Repair of Weapons from Scrap Metal

To create Repair of Weapons from Scrap Metal, you can use the following materials.

Recipe 1:

  • Scrap Metal ×1
  • Field Instruments ×1
  • Hammer ×1

Alternative Recipe:

  • Scrap Metal ×3
  • Scrap of Fabric ×2
  • Screwdriver ×1
  • Hammer ×2

If you have already prepared the Field Instruments, the first recipe is the easier choice.

Basic Repair Kit

The Basic Repair Kit can also be crafted in two different ways.

Recipe 1:

  • Scrap Metal Weapon Repair ×1
  • Mechanical Components ×1
  • Screwdriver ×1

Alternative Recipe:

  • Scrap Metal ×3
  • Scrap of Fabric ×2
  • Screwdriver ×2
  • Hammer ×2
  • Mechanical Components ×1

This is another recipe where previously crafted repair items can help reduce the number of raw materials you need to carry.

Inventory space is limited in Scavland, so you probably won’t be able to carry every crafting material you find. However, there are several items that I recommend keeping whenever possible if you plan to craft equipment and repair items regularly.

These include:

  • Scrap Metal
  • Scrap of Fabric
  • Plastic Scrap
  • Chemical Waste
  • Worm Skin
  • Medicinal Herb
  • Overripe Potato
  • Flask
  • Glue
  • Mechanical Components
  • WG-40
  • Pliers
  • Screwdriver
  • Hammer

You don’t necessarily need to carry all of these items during every run. If you have access to storage, it makes more sense to keep useful materials in your stash and take them with you only when you need them.

The game’s loot respawn system can also make certain materials easier to find than you might expect. Because of this, you don’t always need to hoard massive quantities of every single resource.

Crafting and Storage Issues in Scavland

One thing that can make crafting frustrating is having the materials you need sitting in your stash while your character is carrying nothing in their backpack.

Some players have requested a system that allows crafting stations to automatically use materials stored inside the storage chest at camp. According to feedback around the game, this is a feature that is being worked on and may arrive in a future update.

Players have also asked for better ways to organize their stash and manage large amounts of loot. With so many different crafting materials available in Scavland, improved sorting and inventory management would make the crafting system much easier to use.

For now, the best approach is to keep the most valuable crafting materials stored safely and only carry what you need for your current run. Once you know which resources are used in the recipes above, it also becomes much easier to decide what is worth keeping and what you can safely leave behind.
