The latest Heroes Battlegrounds Lovesick Killer Update arrived with almost no warning, but it’s one of the biggest content drops the game has received recently. The update officially finishes Toga, adds a brand-new Winged Assassin (Hawks) ultimate move, introduces a weather system, and releases a huge collection of new emotes.
If you’re wondering what’s actually new and how Toga’s completed moveset works, here’s everything included in the update.
Heroes Battlegrounds Lovesick Killer Update
The biggest highlight is that Toga is no longer in Early Access.
Her character now has a complete awakening kit, including a unique ultimate that works differently from every other character currently in the game.
If you’ve been waiting to main Toga, now’s a great time to give her another try.
Toga Ultimate – Perfect Copy Explained
Toga’s Awakening is called Perfect Copy.
Unlike a normal transformation, this ability lets you copy another player’s powers.
How Perfect Copy Works
To activate it:
- Fill your Awakening meter.
- Activate Perfect Copy.
- Target another player.
- Successfully copy them.
Once copied, you’ll temporarily gain access to that character’s abilities.
Instead of borrowing a single attack, Toga can use an entire copied moveset.
You Can Copy Entire Movesets
One of the coolest parts of the update is that copying an opponent doesn’t just change your appearance.
For example, if you copy Bakugo, you’ll receive his attacks, including abilities like:
- Ground Cannon
- Powered Shot
- Other Bakugo-exclusive moves
It essentially lets you fight using another character’s kit while still playing as Toga.
That makes her incredibly unpredictable during PvP matches.
Press G to Switch Forms
While using Perfect Copy, pressing G again lets you switch between different copied forms and abilities.
This gives Toga even more flexibility during fights.
Instead of being locked into one copied skill, you can change how you approach different situations.
Awakening Ability Also Changes
Another interesting mechanic is that your Awakening ability changes depending on who you’ve copied.
For example:
- Copy Bakugo.
- Your Awakening attack becomes Bakugo’s Awakening skill instead of Toga’s default version.
This makes every transformation feel slightly different depending on your opponent.
Pink Mirror Explained
The update also expands how Pink Mirror works.
You can now:
- Copy abilities from players.
- Copy abilities from training dummies.
- Use copied skills to unlock additional attacks during Awakening.
This makes practicing much easier before jumping into PvP.
Floating Parade Ultimate
If you activate your ultimate while using a copied move from Pink Mirror, Toga can trigger a special attack called Floating Parade.
During the move:
- Multiple clones appear.
- Opponents are rushed by the attack.
- Enemies are lifted into the air.
- Everyone crashes back to the ground at the end.
It’s easily one of the flashiest animations added to Heroes Battlegrounds so far.
Different Ultimate Variants
Floating Parade isn’t the only version of Toga’s ultimate.
The attack changes depending on how you activate it.
For example:
- Using copied abilities can trigger the large clone sequence.
- Using it normally performs a forward rushing attack instead.
There appear to be several possible variations depending on what you’ve copied beforehand.
Winged Assassin Gets a New Ultimate Move
The update also completes another character.
Winged Assassin (Hawks) receives a brand-new Awakening move called Pierce the Heavens.
Pierce the Heavens Explained
This new move has two versions.
Regular Version
The standard attack launches Hawks into the air before striking the target with a powerful feather assault.
It’s quick, flashy, and works well during normal combat.
Finisher Version
The finisher version is much more cinematic.
Instead of ending immediately, Hawks follows the target into the sky before unleashing a massive feather barrage that finishes with a dramatic animation.
Visually, it’s one of the best-looking finishers currently available in the game.
New Weather System
The update also introduces a weather system.
While it doesn’t drastically change gameplay yet, it adds more atmosphere to matches and makes maps feel a little more alive.
Future updates could expand this feature further.
25 New Emotes Added
Another huge part of this update is the addition of 25 new emotes.
Some are simple dances, while others include full visual effects, attack animations, or interactive actions with nearby players.
Several of them are references to anime, games, memes, and even wrestling.
Some of the newly added emotes include:
- All Night Radio
- Angels of Delusion
- Bad Manners
- Eternal Clash
- Flower Trick
- Fly and Go
- Electric Swatter
- Hatred
- Heart of Justice
- Impact Kick
- Low Cortisol
- PYT
- RKO
- Spin to Win
- Sparksy Dance
- Stay With Me
- Take My Hand
- Terrible Sturdy
- Underdog
Many of these feature custom visual effects, while others include unique finishing animations or interactions with another player.
Interactive Emotes
A few of the new emotes aren’t just cosmetic.
Some require another nearby player and trigger short interactive animations between both characters.
Flower Trick and Take My Hand are good examples, making them fun choices when hanging out in public servers.
Reference-Based Emotes
If you enjoy spotting references, this update has plenty.
Several emotes appear inspired by:
- Anime scenes
- Internet memes
- Wrestling finishers
- Popular dance trends
- JoJo-style poses
Part of the fun is figuring out which reference each animation is based on.
After trying out the completed version, Toga feels much stronger than before.
Perfect Copy gives her one of the most unique playstyles in Heroes Battlegrounds because no two fights play out exactly the same. Copying an opponent’s full moveset creates endless possibilities, especially when facing strong Awakening characters.
Winged Assassin also benefits from the new update, with Pierce the Heavens adding an excellent finishing move that finally rounds out the character.
Overall, this update brings meaningful gameplay additions instead of just cosmetics, making it one of the better Heroes Battlegrounds patches in recent months.
