The Summer Camp map in Detective Duck is one of the longer investigations in the game. Unlike earlier cases, this one mixes exploration, item collection, puzzles, hidden clues, suspect investigations, and a final deduction. Missing even a single clue or suspect profile can prevent you from finishing the investigation, so it’s important to complete every objective.
This walkthrough explains every step from beginning to end, including every puzzle solution, code, and clue.
Detective Duck Summer Camp Walkthrough (100% Complete Guide)
As soon as you spawn into Summer Camp, look around the reception area.
Your first objective is collecting two items:
- Rock
- Charging Cable
These are both required immediately, so grab them before exploring anywhere else.
Break the Window
With the Rock in your inventory, walk over to the nearby building with the broken window.
Throw or use the rock to smash the glass.
Once the window breaks, climb inside the building.
Inside you’ll find a Smartphone.
Charge the Phone
The phone has no battery.
Use the Charging Cable on the phone to power it on.
After charging, the phone displays a colour-based number clue.
The clue shows:
- Blue = 1
- Orange = 5
- Green = 7
- Pink = 3
Reading them in the correct order gives the keypad code:

Enter 1573 into the nearby keypad.
Inside you’ll receive a Key.
Unlock the Next Area
Use the newly obtained Key on the locked gate/door.
This opens the large outdoor puzzle area where most of the investigation begins.
Collect the Bow
After entering the new area, immediately look toward the large haystack.
Climb to the top.
You’ll find the Bow waiting there.
Pick it up.
Craft Arrows
A bow alone isn’t enough.
Craft or collect the required arrows before continuing.
Once you have both:
- Bow
- Arrows
you can begin the target puzzle.
UV Target Puzzle
Equip your UV Light.
Several archery targets have hidden numbers painted on them that are invisible without the UV light.
The hidden numbers reveal the shooting order.
The order is:
1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5
Shoot every target in this exact sequence.
If you accidentally shoot one incorrectly, simply restart and shoot them again in the proper order.
When completed correctly:
- A large rock rises from the ground.
Hidden Symbol Puzzle
Climb onto the newly raised rock.
Now equip your Magnifying Glass.
Looking closely reveals a hidden board containing several symbols.
These symbols appear in specific positions.
It helps to take a screenshot because you’ll need to recreate the exact arrangement later.
Do not leave without remembering the symbol positions.
Learn the Symbol Colours
Next, locate and read the nearby poster.
The poster tells you which colour belongs to each symbol.
The colours are:

Now return to the symbol puzzle.
Place every coloured symbol into the same positions shown on the hidden board.

Search the Backpack
Inside the newly opened room you’ll find a backpack.
Search it.
You’ll obtain:
Toy Knife
Searching containers like this also unlocks additional Suspect Information.
This is extremely important.
Many players ignore searchable objects and later discover they cannot finish the investigation because suspect files remain incomplete.
Always search everything you find.
Collect the Six Investigation Notes
Your next objective is collecting six paper notes scattered around the camp.
Some locations include:
- beside the campsite
- near the house
- on top of a rock
- around the reception area
- other nearby locations
One thing to remember:
Your inventory only holds nine items.
If your inventory becomes full, return to the investigation board and place collected notes before continuing.
Place Notes on the Investigation Board
Return to reception.
Place every collected note onto the investigation board.
Each note fills more evidence and gradually unlocks additional suspect information.
After placing the first group of notes, continue searching until all notes have been collected.
Read the Book
Nearby you’ll find a book.
Read it carefully.
The book contains two important clues:
- It explains how to open the Security Van.
- It provides more suspect information.
Because you already collected the Toy Knife, you now have everything required.
Open the Security Van
Locate the Security Van.
Use the Toy Knife.
The van opens.
Inside you’ll discover another important note.
Collect it.
Then return to finish collecting any remaining investigation notes.
Finish the Investigation Board
After placing every remaining note, click the completed board.
This unlocks even more suspect information.
At the bottom you’ll notice another numerical clue.
Lock Code
The clue reveals:

Go to the nearby locked gate.
Enter:

The gate unlocks.
Hike to the Campsite
After unlocking the gate, you’ll need to hike through a fairly long trail.
Simply continue following the path.
Eventually you’ll reach the campsite.
Extinguish the Fire
At the campsite you’ll notice a burning campfire.
Nearby is a Sand Bucket.
Use the sand bucket on the fire.
The fire goes out.
Search the ashes.
You’ll receive:
Burnt Note
Read the Campsite Book
Do not leave the campsite before reading the nearby book.
This is one of the most important books in the investigation.
Reading it completes the remaining suspect profiles.
By this point you should have information for every suspect.
Without all suspect information, you cannot successfully finish the investigation.
Decode the Burnt Note
Return all the way back to the reception area.
You’ll find a special note-reading machine.
Insert the Burnt Note.
The machine restores the damaged writing.
The recovered message says something similar to:
“I was planning to do it in the abandoned house. I don’t care. I’m tired of these fake stories.”
This clue points directly toward the next objective.
Visit the Abandoned House
The Abandoned House is now accessible.
Travel there.
Open the entrance.
Walk inside.
Kick open the final door.
This completes the investigation portion of the map.
Now only one task remains.
Finding the culprit.
Solving the Mystery
After gathering every clue and every suspect profile, it’s time to identify who is responsible.
Several suspects can immediately be ruled out.
For example:
One suspect alerted the teachers after the incident, making them very unlikely to be responsible.
Another suspect simply witnessed events unfolding.
However, one statement stands out.
Simon mentions that:
Liam was planning to do something inside the abandoned house as revenge.
The restored burnt note also references the abandoned house.
Another clue mentions that a teacher went looking for Liam and became injured.
All of these clues point toward the same person.
