Death Order: Simon Says is a survival game where up to 36 players compete through a series of deadly challenges. Every round eliminates more players until only one survivor remains.
The core mechanic is simple but unforgiving:
- If Simon says a command, you must obey it immediately.
- If Simon gives a command without saying “Simon says,” you must ignore it.
Besides listening carefully, you’ll also face mini-games, PvP events, obstacle courses, bombs, hide-and-seek rounds, and random events. This guide explains every event shown in the gameplay and how to survive each one.
Death Order Simon Says Walkthrough and Guide Wiki
At the start of every match Simon announces:
“36 of you have entered. Only one will leave.”
This means only one player can win the entire game.
Every player begins with the same goal—survive every round by following instructions correctly and avoiding elimination.
Many players lose within the first few minutes simply because they react too quickly to commands.
Always wait to hear whether Simon actually says “Simon says.”
Basic Simon Says Commands
Throughout the match Simon gives simple movement commands.
Examples include:
- Jump
- Crouch
- Sit Down
- Stand Up
- Sprint
- Dance
- Stand on Tables
- Stand on the Line
- Don’t Move
These rounds are straightforward.
If Simon says:
“Simon says jump.”
Jump immediately.
If Simon only says:
“Jump.”
Do absolutely nothing.
Moving during a fake command results in instant elimination.
Knife Event
Early in the match Simon randomly gives one player a knife.
The selected player becomes temporarily dangerous and can eliminate others.
How to survive
If you receive the knife:
- Chase nearby players quickly before the timer expires.
If someone else receives it:
- Keep your distance.
- Stay moving.
- Avoid getting trapped in corners or narrow hallways.
The knife holder usually focuses on nearby players first.
Bomb Event
Simon occasionally plants a bomb on a random player.
The bomb explodes after several seconds.
How to survive
If the bomb is on you:
- Immediately move away from everyone else.
- Don’t stand inside groups.
- Keep running until the timer finishes.
If another player has the bomb:
- Stay away from them.
- Give yourself plenty of space because the explosion has an area of effect.
Lunch Break
Several times Simon announces:
“Simon says lunch has begun.”
Everyone heads toward the cafeteria.
This is mostly a transition event.
Use this time to stay alert because another challenge often begins immediately afterwards.
Hide and Seek
Simon randomly selects one player as the Seeker.
After the announcement:
“Simon says hide.”
All remaining players receive a short amount of time to find a hiding place.
Eventually Simon announces:
“The seeker has been released.”
The hunt begins.
Best hiding tips
Hide in:
- corners
- behind furniture
- inside rooms
- areas with poor visibility
Avoid:
- open hallways
- obvious hiding spots
- standing beside multiple players
The longer the Seeker takes to find you, the better your chances of surviving.
Bed Command
One of the most common events is:
Simon says go to bed.
Players must return to the dormitory and stand near their assigned bed.
Simply reach your bed before the timer ends.
Players who arrive too late risk elimination.
Vote Event
Occasionally Simon asks players to:
Vote for the next event.
Everyone can choose between several upcoming challenges.
Although players vote, the chosen event remains dangerous regardless of which option wins.
Basement Events
Many challenges begin by ordering players into the basement.
Examples include:
- Obby
- Musical Chairs
- Trials
Simply head downstairs quickly whenever Simon tells everyone to go there.
Obby Challenge
One of the hardest recurring events is the obstacle course.
Simon announces:
Simon says complete the obby.
Later rounds become even harder.
Sometimes Simon changes the rule to:
Last player to complete the obby dies.
How to survive
Move carefully instead of rushing.
Many players panic and fall repeatedly.
A clean run is usually faster than constantly restarting after mistakes.
Watch moving platforms before jumping.
Time your jumps rather than spamming them.
Cafeteria Race
Simon sometimes orders:
Go to the cafeteria.
Immediately after that another instruction appears such as:
Last person to the second floor dies.
or
Last person to the basement dies.
These are simple speed races.
Tips
Take the shortest path.
Avoid bumping into crowds.
Don’t stop to watch other players.
Musical Chairs
This event begins inside the basement.
Simon explains:
When the music stops, find a seat only if I say so.
This wording is important.
When the music stops, don’t immediately sit.
Wait until Simon specifically says:
Simon says sit down.
Only then should you grab the nearest available chair.
Every round removes chairs.
Eventually only a few players remain.
Door Choice Event
Simon occasionally says:
Choose a door. Choose wisely.
Several doors become available.
Each leads to a different outcome.
Some are safe.
Others eliminate everyone inside.
Unfortunately this challenge depends entirely on luck.
There is no guaranteed correct door.
Trial Event
The Trial combines multiple Simon Says commands into one challenge.
Commands include things like:
- Sit down
- Dance
- Sprint
- Stand on the line
Players must react quickly while also paying attention to whether Simon actually said the full phrase.
Missing a command or following a fake one results in elimination.
Cell Choice Event
Simon later says:
Go to any cell. Choose wisely.
Just like the door event, players must choose one prison cell.
Some cells remain safe.
Others become traps.
There is no reliable way to predict the correct cell.
Bear Trap Event
Simon occasionally gives one player a Bear Trap.
The selected player can place it somewhere on the map.
Other players must avoid stepping on it.
Always watch the ground while moving through tight hallways.
Gun Event
Later in the game Simon may give a player a gun.
This creates another PvP survival event.
If another player gets the gun
Stay unpredictable.
Never run in a straight line.
Use walls and obstacles as cover whenever possible.
Ball Choice Trial
Near the end of longer matches Simon introduces another luck-based challenge.
Players hear:
Choose a ball. Choose wisely.
Each player selects one coloured ball.
The trial then begins.
Some choices are safe.
Others eliminate players.
Again, no guaranteed correct answer exists.
Circle Event
One of the final events asks players to:
Get in the circle.
Everyone must quickly move inside the marked area.
Players outside the safe zone are eliminated.
Extra Lives Removed
Toward the end of the match Simon announces:
Everyone’s extra lives have been removed.
If you’ve been protected by extra lives earlier, they no longer apply.
From this point onward, every mistake causes immediate elimination.
The final rounds become much more intense because nobody gets a second chance.
Winning the Match
As more challenges eliminate players, only a handful remain.
The final survivor wins the entire game.
Unlike many Roblox survival games, there isn’t a single final boss or puzzle.
Victory comes from consistently surviving every event, avoiding panic, and carefully listening to every instruction.
Survival Tips
- Always wait to hear “Simon says” before acting.
- Don’t rush during obby sections—a clean run is faster than repeated falls.
- Stay away from players carrying knives, bombs, guns, or bear traps.
- Learn the map so you can quickly reach locations like the cafeteria, basement, second floor, and dormitory.
- During hide-and-seek, avoid obvious hiding places where the Seeker is likely to check first.
- In race events, take the shortest route instead of following crowded groups.
- Luck-based events such as doors, cells, and balls have no guaranteed solution, so focus on surviving the skill-based rounds.
Mastering the game’s mechanics is less about speed and more about discipline. Players who stay calm, listen carefully to every command, and react only when Simon explicitly tells them to usually survive much longer than those who panic or rush.
