Anime Vanguards Sorcerer Battlefield Raid Act 4 Guide

Anime Vanguards players have quickly discovered that Sorcerer Battlefield Raid Act 4 is one of the toughest pieces of content added in Update 14. While the regular waves aren’t particularly difficult, the final boss, Mahoraga, introduces an immunity mechanic that can completely shut down unprepared teams.

Fortunately, players have already found a reliable solo strategy that revolves around the right unit order, team composition, and card selection. If you’re trying to farm Hakari, Gambler’s Tokens, or other raid rewards without relying on a full party, here’s what you should know.

Anime Vanguards Sorcerer Battlefield Raid Act 4 Guide

The biggest challenge isn’t surviving the waves—it’s Mahoraga’s adaptive immunity.

During the fight, Mahoraga constantly becomes immune to the element of the unit that most recently attacked it. If your main damage dealer keeps triggering this mechanic, your DPS drops dramatically, making the boss feel nearly impossible to defeat.

Understanding this mechanic is the key to clearing the raid consistently.

Only Your First Unit Keeps Its Bonuses

One of the special rules in Act 4 is that only the first unit you place keeps all of its bonuses, including:

  • Trait
  • Familiar
  • Memoria

Every other unit placed afterward loses these bonuses completely.

Because of this, choosing the correct opening unit is arguably the most important decision you’ll make during the run.

Best First Unit for Solo Runs

Currently, Gojo vs Sukuna is considered the strongest choice for solo clears.

Ideally, your Gojo vs Sukuna should have:

  • Monarch Trait
  • Equipped Familiar
  • Equipped Memoria

Since this is the only unit that retains its complete build, you want your strongest damage dealer taking advantage of every available boost.

If you don’t own Gojo vs Sukuna yet, soloing Act 4 becomes significantly more difficult.

Recommended Team Composition

The strategy focuses on building around one primary carry instead of multiple damage dealers.

A commonly recommended lineup includes:

  • Gojo vs Sukuna (Main DPS)
  • Reimu
  • Ainz
  • Devoted Demon
  • Skill King
  • Erza (summoned using Caloric Stone)

Most of the support units exist to strengthen your main carry while Reimu handles Mahoraga’s unique mechanic.

Reimu Is Essential

Reimu is the unit that makes this strategy work.

Since Mahoraga adapts to the element of the last attack it receives, Reimu’s extremely fast attack speed constantly forces the boss to switch its immunity to Holy.

As a result:

  • Mahoraga repeatedly adapts to Holy.
  • Gojo vs Sukuna continues dealing damage without constantly triggering immunity.
  • Overall DPS remains much more consistent throughout the fight.

Without Reimu, Mahoraga spends far more time resisting your strongest attacks.

Early Wave Strategy

The first part of the raid is fairly straightforward.

Focus on:

  1. Placing Gojo vs Sukuna first.
  2. Farming enough money.
  3. Placing all support units.
  4. Upgrading your main carry as quickly as possible.

There’s no need to rush upgrades on support units early since Gojo vs Sukuna will be doing most of the heavy lifting.

Upgrade Gojo vs Sukuna to Maximum

Once fully upgraded, Gojo vs Sukuna unlocks Clash of the Strongest.

For this raid, selecting the Gojo version generally provides better results against Mahoraga than the Sukuna option due to how the immunity mechanic works.

Save the Full Stack Card

While progressing through the raid, you’ll receive various Hands (cards).

Most of them aren’t particularly important, but one stands above the rest:

Full Stack

This is the card you’ll want to save until the very end.

Full Stack Makes the Final Boss Easier

Full Stack temporarily removes Mahoraga’s immunity.

Normally, this effect only lasts for a single wave.

However, because the final encounter occurs on Wave 30, there are no additional waves afterward.

That means if you activate Full Stack after the final Mahoraga appears, the boss remains vulnerable for the rest of the battle, allowing your team to deal uninterrupted damage without constantly worrying about elemental adaptation.

It’s easily the strongest card for finishing the raid.

Upgrade Reimu Later

Once your main carry is fully upgraded and you have extra resources available, spend some money upgrading Reimu as well.

Increasing her range and attack coverage helps maintain Holy adaptation more consistently, making the boss even easier to handle.

Turn On Chaos Mode

If you’re farming the raid repeatedly, enable Chaos Mode.

Chaos Mode speeds up enemy waves, helping reduce the overall completion time.

Considering Act 4 consists of 30 waves, this small time save adds up over multiple farming sessions.Farm Act 4

Even after unlocking Hakari, there are plenty of reasons to keep running the raid.

Act 4 rewards Gambler’s Tokens, which can be spent on several important items in the Raid Shop, including:

  • Evolution materials
  • Exclusive shop units
  • Additional progression items
  • Other Update 14 rewards

If you’re planning to complete everything introduced in the update, you’ll likely need hundreds of Gambler’s Tokens.

Sorcerer Battlefield Raid Act 4 is easily one of the most mechanic-heavy stages in Anime Vanguards so far. Rather than relying on raw damage, success comes from understanding Mahoraga’s immunity system and building your team around it.

Gojo vs Sukuna remains the centerpiece of the strategy, while Reimu’s fast Holy attacks prevent Mahoraga from constantly shutting down your damage. Combine that with the Full Stack card on the final wave, and you’ll have a much easier time farming Hakari, Gambler’s Tokens, and the other valuable rewards introduced in Update 14.
