All Default Hats in Rat Game
The first four hats come automatically when you start the game. No tasks are required to wear them — just jump in and enjoy!

Now let’s move on to the remaining hats that you can unlock. These require you to play as either the Rat or the Chef and complete a set of objectives. Some can be quite straightforward, while others may need a little exploration and quick thinking.
All Unlockable Hats in Rat Game
1. Wizard Hat
To unlock the Wizard Hat, start by finishing the Haunted Tape task. Once that’s done, find a lighter to light the candles on the table in front of the TV. You can typically find lighters scattered around the map, often in places like the kitchen, where I spotted one under the counters.
Once lit, you’ll be rewarded with the hat you seek!
You can find several lighters around the map. I found one in the kitchen, underneath the counters to the left of the office entrance when leaving the office.
2. Hardhat
Unlock requirement: Complete the Storage Room wire task.
As a Rat, head to the Storage Room and find the wire-cutting task. This one’s all about solving the puzzle in the correct order — complete it, and the Hardhat is yours! It’s straightforward, just pay attention to the colors.

Unlock requirement: Win a match as the Chef.
Simple enough! Play as the Chef and win a match. Do remember, your performance matters here as this hat is only secured through victory.
4. Frog Hat
This hat can be snagged before any matches start. Look for a hole in the ceiling of the lobby and climb through it.
Once you’re inside, navigate through the shelves to reach another hole, where you can claim the Frog Hat. Keep your eyes peeled as it can be tricky to spot!
5. Fedora
Once inside, climb the shelves and other objects until you reach another hole in the ceiling. Enter the next room, and the Frog Hat will unlock.

Your mission is to go to the office and use the computer to finish the hacking task. Be cautious while entering your answers, as the noise can alert the Chef. Try to hide if you hear any movement nearby!
Be careful when entering your answers. Each input makes a noise that the Chef can hear from anywhere on the map. Hide nearby if you think the Chef is coming.
6. Propeller Cap
Find a high spot, like a tall cabinet, and jump down. If you fall from a height and your Rat gets stunned upon impact, the Propeller Cap is unlocked.
You can do this in the lobby which might make it easier. Get ready to take a leap!
Find a tall bookshelf or cabinet and climb to the top. Jump down from a great height and let your Rat get stunned after landing.
You can also unlock this hat in the lobby. Climb to the top of the shelves and jump down to complete the requirement.
7. Magician’s Hat
Unlocking the Magician’s Hat was a bit of a mystery for me, but I recall it involves letting the Chef see you and then disappearing quickly. It’s about creating a little mischief!
8. Bow
Unlock requirement: Win against the Chef as a Rat.
Another straightforward one! As a Rat, win against the Chef in a match to unlock this Bow. Remember, it only counts if the Chef is player-controlled, not the RoboChef.
9. Cowboy Hat

To get this one, you’ll need to locate a gun and pick it up while playing as a Rat. Good old places to check are the Office, Kitchen, and Storage Room. The gun’s location can change, so keep searching if you don’t find it immediately.
10. Helmet
The gun can usually be found in these locations:
- Office
- Kitchen
- Storage Room
Its location may change between matches, so check these areas if you can’t find it.

This is one of the two hats requiring you to play as a Chef. Just pick up a gun and shoot a Rat to unlock the Helmet. It’s an achievement too, so take your shot at this!

While playing as a Rat, find the flyer lying near the entrance containing a phone number. To unlock the Police Hat, head to the hearth and use the phone to dial 1800737678.
Once you’ve made the call, the Police Hat will be unlocked and ready for you!
Next, head to the hearth and use the phone. Enter the following number:

Once you complete the call, you will receive the Police Hat.
12. Burglar Hat
Unlock requirement: Open the hidden Cheese Vault.
To get started, head to the office and look for the bookshelf with a light blue book. Interact with it to activate a hidden mechanism that reveals the Cheese Vault. Open this vault to unlock the Burglar Hat!

Opening the hidden vault unlocks the Burglar Hat.

Find the task in which you need to empty the beer taps. As a Rat, press E multiple times when the beer is flowing until your Rat gets drunk. It usually takes about 10 interactions to complete this task, unlocking the Drink Hat.
