Housing is one of the major life-simulation features in ArcheAge Chronicles. You can rent a plot, craft your own house, expand it with additional floors and annexes, and decorate it with furniture and other items. Unlike a private housing instance, your home exists in a shared housing area alongside other players.
In this guide, I’ll explain how to get a housing plot, how much each plot size costs, and which house types you can build. I’ll also walk you through the materials needed to craft your first house, so you can prepare before spending your gold and resources.
Whether you want a small starter home or a larger property with crafting stations, understanding the housing system will help you plan your materials and choose the right location.
ArcheAge Chronicles Housing Guide – Plots, Blueprints
ArcheAge Chronicles housing lets you build and customize a home in designated housing areas. You rent a plot, craft a building from its blueprint, and place it on your land. You can then expand the house, attach annexes and stations, and furnish the interior.
Housing areas are shared with other players, so your home is part of the game world rather than a separate private instance. Housing also includes interactive decorations and NPC housemates.
Housing Plot Locations
There are 71 housing plots across two housing areas: Seaglass Harbor Residences in Diamond Shores and Centrium Village Residence in Heartland.
| Housing Area | Region | Small Plots | Medium Plots | Large Plots | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seaglass Harbor Residences | Diamond Shores | 37 | 3 | 1 | 41 |
| Centrium Village Residence | Heartland | 18 | 9 | 3 | 30 |
| Total | 55 | 12 | 4 | 71 |
Seaglass Harbor Residences is the first housing area introduced through the main story. It also contains the architects and furniture vendors you’ll need when building and decorating your home.
If you’re planning to build a large house, consider Centrium Village Residence. Seaglass Harbor has only one large plot, while Centrium has three.
How to Rent a Housing Plot
You need Plot Deeds to rent a housing plot. Each rental lasts 30 days, and the required number of deeds depends on the plot size.
How to Get Plot Deeds
- Main story quest: Complete Pier Patrol to receive 60 Plot Deeds.
- Vendor: Roesin in the Pioneer’s Assembly Hall sells Plot Deeds for 500 gold each, with a limit of 15 per week. You must be a member of the Bluesalt Brotherhood to buy from her.
- Plot assignment: Speak to Nivhen in the Pioneer’s Assembly Hall to obtain a plot.
Plot Costs and Unlock Requirements
| Plot Size | Dimensions | Unlock Requirement | Rent per 30 Days | Gold Equivalent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 21 × 21 m | None | 60 Plot Deeds | 30,000 gold |
| Medium | 30 × 30 m | 1,000 Hersander Tokens | 240 Plot Deeds | 120,000 gold |
| Large | 42 × 42 m | 2,000 Hersander Tokens | 480 Plot Deeds | 240,000 gold |
The Pier Patrol reward covers the rent for one small plot. However, buying deeds from Roesin alone takes time: her weekly limit means purchasing enough for a medium plot would take 16 weeks.
House Types and Blueprints
There are two visual styles for houses: Romanesque and Gothic. The style is cosmetic, but connected buildings must match. Choose your preferred style before buying blueprints for your house and annexes.
Main House Recipes
| House | Required Plot | Maximum Floors | Blueprint Cost | Materials |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small Romanesque / Gothic House | Any | 2 | 5,000 gold | 30× Standard Stone, 12× Standard Lumber |
| Medium Romanesque / Gothic House | Medium or large | 2 | 20,000 gold | 90× Fine Stone, 36× Fine Lumber, 1× Thunderstruck Shell |
| Large Romanesque / Gothic House | Large only | 3 | 100,000 gold | 180× Fine Stone, 72× Fine Lumber, 6× Superior Stone, 10× Thunderstruck Shell |
All houses begin with their first floor (1F). You can expand them after construction.

|---|---|
| Second floor | 20× Standard Stone, 20× Standard Ingot, 20× Standard Lumber |
| Third floor (large house only) | 45× Standard Stone, 45× Standard Ingot, 45× Standard Lumber |
Thunderstruck Shells for medium and large houses can be purchased with Hersander Tokens. For example, Didie at Central Wetlands Campsite sells them for 5 tokens each.
Annexes and Crafting Stations
You can attach annexes and crafting stations to your house. Annexes provide additional space, while stations let you craft certain items without traveling to a public workbench.
Annexes
Annex Architect June sells annex blueprints for 2,000 gold each.
Each annex requires:
- 15× Standard Stone
- 9× Standard Lumber
- 6× Standard Additive
- 3× White Marble
Annexes come in A, B and C versions in both Romanesque and Gothic styles. Remember that the annex style must match your main house.

Station Architect Gyrenn sells station blueprints for 3,000 gold each. Each station requires 30× Fine Stone, 60× Fine Lumber and two additional station-specific ingredients.
| Station | Crafting Category | Recipes |

Housing Tips
- Start with a small plot: It has no token unlock requirement and is the cheapest option.
- Complete Pier Patrol: Its 60 Plot Deeds cover one small plot’s rent.
- Choose a building style early: Romanesque and Gothic buildings cannot be connected together.
- Plan your materials before crafting: The starter house needs substantial amounts of Marble, Sweetgrass Powder and other raw materials.
- Use trade routes when possible: They can provide Standard Stone and Standard Lumber.
- Save space for stations: A home crafting station can make future crafting more convenient.
- Check the plot size before buying a blueprint: Medium houses need medium or large plots, while large houses require a large plot.
