Kingdom Two Crowns has a large collection of achievements that cover almost everything you can do in the game. Some are simple and can be unlocked naturally while playing, while others require specific strategies, certain mounts, co-op, or a lot of patience.
In this guide, I’ll go through the important achievements in Kingdom Two Crowns and explain what you need to do to unlock them. I’ve also included useful tips for some of the harder achievements so you can avoid wasting time.
Some achievements are easier with two Monarchs, while others are completely personal and must be earned by the individual player. So, if you are trying to complete the game, use this guide to plan your achievement run instead of trying to unlock everything randomly.
Kingdom Two Crowns Achievements Guide – How to Unlock All
On the First Day
Achievement: Recruited eight archers.
This is one of the easiest achievements to get at the beginning of the game.
At the start, explore both sides of your island and collect the available gold chests. Spend your coins primarily on recruiting archers.
If you have two players, this becomes even easier because each Monarch can explore a different direction and collect gold.
Once you have recruited eight archers, the achievement should unlock.
On the Second Day
Achievement: You got free walls.
For this achievement, you need to get the walls without directly paying for them.
Upgrade your camp into wooden fortifications by starting the campfire and then upgrading it twice. The costs are:
- Campfire: 3 coins
- First upgrade: 3 coins
- Second upgrade: 6 coins
Once the wooden fortification is completed, the free walls should appear around your settlement.
Make sure you complete this between the first midnight and sunrise of Day 3.
On the Third Day
Achievement: You started your camp.
This achievement must be completed on the first island if you have not skipped the tutorial.
During the first couple of nights, the Greed waves are relatively small. You can usually keep them away by dropping a couple of coins on each side of your camp.
After midnight between Day 2 and Day 3, you can start upgrading the camp and unlock the achievement.
By the Fourth Day
Achievement: You hunted 40 or more bunnies.
Cut down nearby trees to create more grassland and give your archers better hunting opportunities.
You need to hunt 40 or more bunnies for the achievement. Some players have also reported unlocking it while hunting a combination of bunnies and deer.
Building up your archer numbers early makes this much easier.
By the Fifth Day
Achievement: You didn’t kill anything.
For this achievement, you need to survive until the required day without killing anything.
There are two useful approaches:
- Build strong enough walls to survive the Greed attacks until dawn.
- Pay the Greed so they leave without fighting.
There has also been an exploit where you can move to another island around Day 5 and the game may count the new island as having no Greed kills. However, this may depend on the game version, so I would recommend using the normal method if you want a reliable unlock.
On the Sixth Day
Achievement: You had more gold than you could carry.
Simply collect enough gold to completely overflow your coin pouch.
You can earn money from:
- Chests
- Hunting
- Cutting trees
- Other sources around your kingdom
If you are playing co-op, remember that both Monarchs have separate pouches. You can transfer gold between players to help both players unlock the achievement.
On the Seventh Day
Achievement: You cleared an acre of land.
Send your builders out to clear a large section of forest.
You generally need to clear around four or five plaza-sized areas to unlock this achievement.
You do not have to clear everything in one day. You can continue cutting down trees over several days.
This achievement can also be combined with the gold achievement because trees can drop coins and clearing forests creates better hunting areas.
By the Eighth Day
Achievement: You forged a new Crown.
This achievement requires two Monarchs.
One Monarch needs to lose their crown to the Greed. The other Monarch must still have their crown.
After the crown is lost, the crowned Monarch can approach the other player and spend up to eight coins to forge a new crown for them.
The Monarch who forges the crown receives the achievement, so both players cannot automatically unlock it from the same crown-forging action.
On the Ninth Day
Achievement: You held a Gem.
Travel to the second island and find a gem chest.
Pick up a gem and make sure you are still carrying it by Day 9.
If one Monarch has multiple gems, they can also drop one for the other Monarch so both players can work toward the achievement.
By the Tenth Day
Achievement: You destroyed a portal.
You need to destroy a portal before the end of Day 10.
A basic progression for this achievement is:
- Build the boat on the first island.
- Travel to the second island.
- Activate the stone mine or birch camp.
- Upgrade your town toward the castle keep.
- Recruit squad leaders.
- Send an assault against a portal.
- Destroy the portal.
Once the portal is destroyed, the achievement should unlock.
In co-op, both players can earn it.
Miscellaneous Achievements
Master of the Sea
Achievement: Sail away before Day 6.
You need to leave the island before Day 6.
Recruit several builders and archers and have the builders clear enough trees to create hunting areas. Your archers can then generate the money needed to repair and build the boat.
You do not need to heavily upgrade the town center. Save as much money as possible for the boat.
I Am an Equestrian
Achievement: Ride four different steeds on the same land.
You need access to the Stable Hermit.
Upgrade a fully upgraded farm into a stable, then use it to switch between mounts.
Ride four different mounts while remaining on the same land.
The achievement is mainly about using four different steeds, so you do not need to keep all four simultaneously.
Is a Hermit Still a Hermit if They Have Friends?
Achievement: Put four hermits on the same boat.
Unlock four different Hermits and bring them onto your boat.
Once you have four Hermits aboard, sail to another island to unlock the achievement.
This is relatively easy during a normal campaign because you will eventually have access to enough gems to unlock multiple Hermits.
I HAVE THE TOWER!
Achievement: Have 20 max-level towers on a single land.
This is one of the more demanding achievements.
You need 20 fully upgraded towers on the same island, which requires a large amount of money and enough suitable tower locations.
A total of around 1,260 coins is needed for the 20 towers.
The number of suitable boulder piles is randomized, so choosing the right island is important. Skull Island can be a good choice because it usually has more suitable locations.
You should check the island early rather than spending a huge amount of time developing an island that does not have enough tower locations.
Teleporters are also extremely useful because they allow you to quickly travel between both sides of your kingdom while clearing forests, upgrading towers, and collecting money.
This achievement can also be combined with other long-term achievements such as Easter Island.
Playing with Goo
Achievement: Escape the cave with your crown intact.
This achievement requires you to escape the cave after dealing with the bomb without losing your crown.
Make sure your mount has plenty of stamina before lighting the fuse.
The Griffin is one of the best mounts for this because it is fast and can graze inside the cave to recover stamina.
Pyrotechnics
Achievement: Set fire to 20 Greed with one flame barrel.
This is much easier during the late game, particularly during blood moons when large numbers of Greed appear.
Using two flame barrels on the same side can help group the Greed together and increase the chance of hitting enough enemies with a single flame.
Their Savior
Achievement: Revive a land after 200 days of decay.
When you leave an island, it continues to decay.
After enough time, buildings and walls will deteriorate.
For this achievement, return to a land after it has experienced 200 days of decay.
Additional decay caused by losing your crown can also count, making this achievement easier to set up if you know how the decay system works.
Safe Passage
Achievement: Have lighthouses on all five lands.
First, you need to defeat the Greed Spawn located at the dock or pier of each island.
After defeating the Spawn, you can build a lighthouse and upgrade it depending on the technology available on that island.
Repeat this across all five lands to unlock the achievement.
Easter Island
Achievement: Clear all trees from a single land.
This is simple but very time-consuming.
Keep expanding your kingdom and have your builders cut down every tree on the island.
It is a good idea to combine this with I HAVE THE TOWER!, since you will already need to clear a large amount of land for the tower achievement.
Do not destroy important camps too early, though. Make sure you have recruited enough citizens and archers before clearing everything.
The Student Becomes the Teacher
Achievement: Beat a portal with a squire.
Make sure your squire is fully paid before sending them toward the portal.
You can accompany the squire and provide coins if they lose money during the assault.
Using two squires can also make the attack safer because one can continue the assault if the other struggles.
Defeat the Greed Achievements
There are several achievements based around defeating the Greed on different numbers of lands.
Beginning of a Legend
Achievement: Defeat the Greed on one land.
Simply complete one island by defeating the Greed.
Stories Have Begun
Achievement: Defeat the Greed on two lands.
Complete two different lands.
Songs Will Be Written
Achievement: Defeat the Greed on three lands.
Complete three lands by defeating the Greed.
Legends Will Be Passed Down
Achievement: Defeat the Greed on four lands.
Complete four lands.
You Have Sealed Your Reign in History
Achievement: Defeat the Greed on all five lands.
Complete all five campaign lands.
There Is No Greater Ruler Than Thou
Achievement: Defeat the Greed from all five lands in a single reign.
This is considerably harder because you need to complete all five lands without losing your reign.
The key is speed.
The longer your overall day count gets, the stronger the nightly Greed attacks become. Avoid spending time and money on unnecessary upgrades.
It is also useful to leave the dock-side portals intact when possible. Destroying more portals can result in stronger counterattacks.
When dealing with the cave, having a fast mount is extremely important. The Griffin is one of the safest choices because its speed and stamina make escaping the explosion much easier.
More Difficult Achievements
Never Gives Up
Achievement: Retrieve your crown 300 times.
This achievement is mostly about repetition.
You can intentionally allow Greed to knock your crown off and then retrieve it repeatedly.
One useful method is to destroy the cave and smaller portals while leaving the dock portal intact. You can then approach the dock portal with an empty pouch and allow its attack to knock your crown off.
Retrieve the crown and repeat the process.
It takes time, but this method can be used to work toward the 300 crown recoveries without repeatedly restarting the entire campaign.
Achievement: Sail to another land in co-op 30 times.
You need to travel between lands while playing in co-op a total of 30 times.
This can naturally happen over multiple playthroughs.
If you have lighthouses available, moving between islands becomes much easier and can help with repeated travel.
Cracked the Skull
Achievement: Overcome the Greed on Skull Island.
Complete the Skull Island challenge and defeat the Greed there.
Because Skull Island has its own special mechanics and conditions, it is worth preparing your kingdom carefully before attempting a full clear.
Dead Lands Achievements
A New Heir
Achievement: Lose your crown, but not your legacy.
This achievement is related to the campaign and is earned by losing your crown without completely losing your progress.
Igavania!
Achievement: Ride the Gamigin.
You need to obtain and ride the Gamigin mount in Dead Lands.
The Four Horsemen
Achievement: Summon the four monarchs to the land of the dead.
This is another Dead Lands-specific achievement and requires you to summon all four monarchs associated with the scenario.
Norse Lands Achievements
Here Kitty Kitty Kitty
Achievement: Recruit a Cat.
The Cat Chariot is one of the notable mounts in Norse Lands.
You need 3 gems and 7 coins to unlock and use it.
The cats have a powerful charging ability and can also eat mice on different terrain types. This makes the Cat Chariot a very strong mount.
You can also encounter cats around vagrant camps or the merchant area. Similar to how the Stag can attract deer, you can make a cat follow you.
If you lead a cat toward a farm, it can settle there and hunt mice, generating coins for your kingdom.
Arm the Homeless
Achievement: Convert a Beggar Camp into a Citizen House.
Find a Beggar Camp and convert it into a Citizen House by recruiting the people there.
Above and Beyond
Achievement: Defeat the Greed on all six lands.
This achievement is associated with the Norse Lands campaign and requires you to overcome the Greed across all six lands.
I HAVE THE POWER!
Achievement: Unlock all Items of Power.
You need to solve all the required puzzles and unlock every Item of Power in Norse Lands.
This is one of the achievements where it is useful to follow a dedicated Norse Lands puzzle guide because the exact requirements for each item can be easy to miss.
Best Tips for Completing the Achievement List
Play in Co-op When Possible
Some achievements become considerably easier with two Monarchs.
Players can split up to collect coins, work on different sides of the kingdom, share resources, and complete achievements that specifically require two Monarchs.
Use the Right Mount
The mount you choose can make some achievements much easier.
For general play, the Griffin is one of the safest choices because of its speed, stamina, and ability to recover stamina in difficult locations.
The Cat Chariot is also an excellent choice in Norse Lands.
Combine Achievements
You do not always need to complete achievements separately.
For example, clearing an entire island can contribute toward Easter Island while also helping with I HAVE THE TOWER!.
Similarly, collecting large amounts of gold can help with several early-game achievements at the same time.
Don’t Rush Difficult Achievements
Some achievements require hundreds of repetitions or a huge amount of resources.
Instead of trying to force everything into one campaign, it is often better to combine achievements naturally whenever possible and use a dedicated run for particularly difficult ones.
Kingdom Two Crowns has a surprisingly large achievement list, and some achievements are much more complicated than their descriptions make them sound. The easiest ones can be earned during normal progression, while achievements like Never Gives Up, I HAVE THE TOWER!, and There Is No Greater Ruler Than Thou require considerably more planning.
If you are going for 100% completion, I recommend focusing on the easy early-game achievements first, then working toward the longer late-game challenges. Playing with another Monarch can also save a lot of time for several achievements.
With the right planning, you can combine multiple objectives into the same run instead of starting over every time. That makes the Kingdom Two Crowns achievement grind much more manageable.
