Kingdom Two Crowns Best Mount Tier List (October 2026)

If you are playing Kingdom Two Crowns, choosing the right mount can make a big difference in how easily you explore the islands, escape enemies, and move your kingdom forward. Some mounts are simply faster and more useful, while others have special abilities that can completely change how you play.

In this guide, I’m ranking the mounts in Kingdom Two Crowns from best to worst based on their overall usefulness, stamina, speed, special abilities, and how well they perform in different situations. Not every expensive mount is automatically better, so knowing what each one does is important.

Whether you are looking for the best mount for exploration, combat, or simply want something better than the default horse, this Kingdom Two Crowns mount tier list should help you decide which one is worth your coins and gems.

Kingdom Two Crowns Best Mount Tier List (October 2026)

Tier Mounts
S Tier Griffon
A Tier Stag, Wild Horse
B Tier Lizard, War Horse
C Tier Unicorn
F Tier Great Bear, Default Horse

This ranking is based on overall usefulness rather than just the mount’s special ability. Stamina, movement speed, special abilities, winter performance, and usefulness during difficult situations all matter here.

S Tier Mounts

Griffon

The Griffon is my pick for the best mount in Kingdom Two Crowns, and it deserves the S Tier.

You can find it after a crash landing on Island 1. It requires 2 gems to unlock and costs 8 coins to mount.

The Griffon is basically a major upgrade over the default horse. One of its biggest advantages is that it can gain a stamina boost while standing above terrain, including during winter. This makes it much more reliable when you are traveling around the kingdom.

The Griffon also has a useful defensive ability. By standing still and using the ability, it can blow back and stun nearby enemies. This costs around 15 seconds of stamina, so you cannot use it endlessly, but it can be extremely useful when you need to create some space.

For me, the Griffon’s combination of mobility, stamina, and utility makes it the best all-around mount.

Why I rank it S Tier:

  • Excellent overall mobility
  • Strong stamina management
  • Works well in winter
  • Can stun and push back enemies
  • Great for exploration
  • One of the best choices for dealing with difficult portal situations

A Tier Mounts

Stag

The Stag is one of the most useful mounts if you like hunting and working with your archers.

It can be found at the waterfall on Island 2. It costs 1 gem to unlock and 3 coins to mount.

The Stag has a special ability that lets you attract nearby deer. If you stand or walk near them, hearts will appear and the deer will begin following you. You can then lead them toward your archers, giving your kingdom an easy way to hunt them.

The Stag is also very fast when moving through forests.

Its biggest weakness is winter. Since there are no deer to attract and less opportunity for grazing, its usefulness drops during that season.

Still, outside of winter, the Stag is an excellent mount and easily deserves A Tier.

Wild Horse

The Wild Horse is another A Tier mount and is one of the best choices if you want stamina and reliable movement.

You can find it in an open field with a fence on Island 3. It requires 1 gem to unlock and costs 4 coins to mount.

Unlike some of the other mounts, the Wild Horse does not have a special ability. However, it makes up for that with excellent stamina and a strong boost.

This allows you to run for long periods without constantly stopping to recover. It also performs well during winter, which makes it much more reliable than mounts that depend on grass or animals.

If you want a simple mount that gets the job done without worrying about complicated abilities, I think the Wild Horse is one of the best options.

B Tier Mounts

Lizard

The Lizard is an interesting mount because its special abilities are actually very powerful.

It can be found at the ruins with the dragon fountain on Island 4. It costs 3 gems to unlock and 10 coins to mount.

The Lizard can gain a speed boost by basking in sunlight while standing on grass. The downside is that this cannot be done at night.

Its most interesting ability is its fire attack. By standing still and using the ability, the Lizard can breathe fire and create a fire trap that lasts for a few seconds. Enemies that enter the area can be ignited.

The ability has a short windup and uses around four seconds of stamina.

The main problem is that the Lizard has relatively low stamina. However, its increased walking speed helps compensate for this.

In multiplayer, the Lizard can become much stronger because a crownless player can repeatedly use its ability. Because of that, I could see some players rating it much higher depending on how they play.

For general solo use, though, I would keep it in B Tier.

War Horse

The War Horse is another B Tier mount, but it is particularly useful when you are preparing for combat.

You can find it on Island 3 at the battlefield with the skeleton. It requires 2 gems to unlock and costs 8 coins.

Its main ability is a combat buff for nearby troops. When the War Horse starts running, nearby troops receive the buff and flash white for around 10 seconds. During this period, they can take no damage.

The ability can be used again after roughly 20 seconds.

This makes the War Horse very useful when you are pushing toward dangerous areas or fighting enemies. However, its overall usefulness is more situational than the Griffon or Wild Horse.

That is why I would place it in B Tier.

C Tier Mounts

Unicorn

The Unicorn is a fun mount, but I don’t think it is one of the strongest choices overall.

You can find it at the magic pink tree on Island 5. It requires 4 gems to unlock and costs 12 coins to mount.

Its unique ability is related to grazing. When the Unicorn grazes on grass, it produces 3 coins, roughly every 12 seconds.

That sounds great at first, but the Unicorn is fairly expensive and doesn’t provide a huge improvement over some of the other mounts when it comes to movement and general utility.

It is basically a decent sidegrade to the normal horse rather than a must-have mount.

For that reason, I would put the Unicorn in C Tier.

F Tier Mounts

Great Bear

The Great Bear is one of the weakest mounts in the game for general use.

You can find it inside the cave with the beehive on Island 4. It requires 3 gems to unlock and costs 11 coins.

The Great Bear does have an interesting hunting ability. While running, it can damage deer and rabbits, allowing you to hunt without relying completely on your archers.

It can also attack Greed, although I would not recommend using it as your primary combat option.

The biggest problem is its poor stamina. Because of that, the Great Bear struggles to compete with the better mounts.

For me, there simply isn’t enough upside to justify its cost, which is why it lands in F Tier.

Default Horse

The Default Horse is also in F Tier.

It costs only 2 coins, and that cheap price is basically its biggest advantage. It provides the baseline speed and stamina that can be used to compare the other mounts.

There is nothing particularly special about it, and once you have access to better mounts, there is little reason to keep using it.

It is perfectly fine when you are starting out, but I would replace it as soon as you have access to a stronger option.

Best Mount Overall

If I had to choose only one mount in Kingdom Two Crowns, I would go with the Griffon.

It has a great combination of movement, stamina, utility, and defensive abilities. It is also much more reliable in different environments, including winter.

The Wild Horse is a great alternative if you want something simple and reliable, while the Stag is excellent when hunting and using deer to support your archers.

There are quite a few mounts to choose from in Kingdom Two Crowns, but they are definitely not equal. The Griffon stands above the rest for me because it combines strong mobility, stamina, and a useful defensive ability without having a major weakness.

The Stag and Wild Horse are also excellent choices and are much easier to recommend depending on what you need. The Stag is great for hunting, while the Wild Horse is a reliable option for long-distance travel and winter.

The lower-tier mounts are not completely useless, but they are much more situational. If you have the opportunity to unlock a higher-tier mount, I would generally save my gems and coins for it rather than sticking with the Great Bear, Unicorn, or default horse.
