If you’re trying to level up fast in Slayer 2, knowing which quests to do at each stage can save you a lot of time. Instead of randomly fighting enemies around the map, you can follow a simple progression that takes you from the first few levels all the way into the better boss quests later in the game.
In this post, I’ll walk you through the leveling route I recommend, starting with the quests around spawn and then moving through each area as you unlock new NPCs. We’ll also cover the important prerequisite quests, when you should become a Slayer or Demon, and how to make the boss-quest method much faster.
Once you reach the later stages, leveling becomes much more about choosing the right quests, finding bosses that are actually available, reducing travel time, and using your rewards properly. So, let’s go through everything step by step and make your leveling grind as efficient as possible.
Start With Crew’s Quests
When you first enter Slayer 2, your first stop should be the Crew NPC near spawn.
Crew has two quests available at different levels. The first quest becomes available at Level 0, while the second unlocks at Level 7.
Usually, these NPCs give you one quest focused on regular enemies and another quest involving a boss. For the beginning of the game, you want to start with Crew’s Level 0 quest.
Complete the Level 0 Bandit Quest
Crew’s first quest requires you to defeat three bandits.
Accept the quest and head toward the nearby enemies. Defeat the required number of bandits and return once the objective is complete.
The important part here is to take the quest again after completing it. You don’t want to fight enemies without having an active quest because you’re missing out on the extra rewards from completing the objective.
So, your early-game routine is very simple:
- Accept Crew’s quest.
- Defeat the required bandits.
- Complete the quest.
- Take the quest again.
- Repeat until you reach Level 7.
You should keep doing this until you unlock Crew’s second quest.
Use Crew’s Boss Quest at Level 7
Once you reach Level 7, you can start taking Crew’s boss quest.
If the boss is currently available and you can defeat it, accept the quest before going to fight the boss. This gives you the quest reward on top of whatever you earn from the fight itself.
However, don’t just stand around waiting for the boss to appear.
If the boss isn’t available, keep doing Crew’s regular bandit quest while you wait. You’re trying to gain experience as consistently as possible, and standing around doing nothing slows your progression.
Once you reach Level 10, you don’t need to stay with Crew anymore.
At this point, it’s time to move further into the map.
Move to the Bare Area at Level 10
After reaching Level 10, travel toward the Bare Area instead of continuing to farm the starting quests.
In this area, look for the Tom NPC.
Tom has two quests, with the first becoming available at Level 10 and the second at Level 18.
Farm Tom’s Level 10 Quest
Start with Tom’s Level 10 quest and repeat it while defeating the enemies around this area.
Just like before, the basic strategy is to accept the quest before fighting, complete the objective, turn it in, and immediately take the quest again.
You don’t need to overcomplicate this part.
Your goal is simply to keep completing quests while gaining experience from the enemies you’re already fighting.
Unlock Tom’s Level 18 Quest
Once you reach Level 18, Tom’s second quest becomes available.
At this point, you can add the second quest to your progression and continue farming in the same area.
You don’t need to leave the Bare Area immediately after unlocking the Level 18 quest. Instead, use the quests available from Tom and continue leveling until you reach Level 26.
The important thing is to keep checking which quest you can currently take and make sure you have one active before you start fighting.
Complete Kazu’s Quest Before Chaka
Once you reach Level 26, your next quest giver is Chaka, who is located near the snow area.
Chaka has quests available at Level 26 and Level 34, but there is an important prerequisite you need to complete first.
Before you start farming Chaka’s quests, return to the spawn area and find the Kazu NPC.
Complete Kazu’s Civilian Quest
Speak with Kazu and accept the quest that requires you to defeat civilians.
Complete the objective and finish Kazu’s quest.
This step is easy to overlook, but it is important. Simply reaching Level 26 isn’t enough to start progressing normally with Chaka.
If you reach Chaka and the quests aren’t progressing the way you expect, check whether you’ve completed Kazu’s quest first.
Once Kazu’s quest is finished, return to Chaka and you can begin the next part of your leveling route.
Farm Chaka From Level 26 to 45
Start with Chaka’s Level 26 quest and keep repeating it until you unlock the Level 34 quest.
Once the Level 34 quest becomes available, continue using it as part of your grind and stay in this area until you reach Level 45.
This part of the game is mostly about staying consistent.
Accept the quest, defeat the required enemies, complete it, and immediately pick up the next available quest. The less time you spend standing around between objectives, the faster you’ll level.
Keep Your Character Upgraded
While you’re progressing through these early areas, don’t forget about your character upgrades.
Use the skill points you earn from leveling up and equip better weapons and gear whenever you get them.
This might sound obvious, but it can make a noticeable difference to your leveling speed. If you’re struggling to finish a fight, a simple upgrade can make the next several quests much easier.
Your leveling speed isn’t only about choosing the right quest. You also need to be able to complete the objective consistently.
If your damage is too low or you’re constantly struggling to survive, you’re going to spend more time fighting each enemy. That means fewer completed quests over the same amount of time.
So whenever you get a useful upgrade, actually use it.
Become a Slayer or Demon at Level 45
Once you reach Level 45, I recommend moving into either the Slayer or Demon progression as soon as you can.
If you haven’t completed this part yet, you’ll need to follow the requirements for whichever path you choose.
This is an important point in the leveling guide because becoming a Slayer or Demon unlocks the main boss-quest leveling method.
Slayers Get a Crow
If you become a Slayer, you’ll receive a Crow that allows you to take special quests.
These quests are much more useful for leveling because they send you after bosses around the map.
Demons Get a Bell
If you become a Demon, you’ll receive a Bell that can be used to teleport to Muzan’s Domain.
From there, you can accept quests from Musen.
These quests also send you to defeat bosses around the map.
The important thing is that both paths give you access to the same general type of leveling method: boss quests with much better experience and cash rewards than the regular early-game quests.
This is why I recommend unlocking this system as soon as you can instead of spending too much time farming the early NPC quests after you’ve already outgrown them.
Start Farming Boss Quests
Once you have access to the Slayer or Demon boss quests, your leveling routine changes.
Instead of repeatedly defeating basic enemies in one area, you’ll start taking quests that send you around the map to defeat different bosses.
The process is straightforward.
First, check which quests are available. Look at the bosses you’re being asked to defeat and choose one that you can realistically handle.
Accept the quest before traveling to the boss.
Then travel to its location, defeat the boss, and complete the objective.
Afterward, check your available quests again and immediately choose your next target.
Keep repeating this process.
The goal is to spend as much time as possible actually completing quests rather than waiting for bosses, running across the map, or attempting fights that are too difficult for your current build.
Your Available Quests Depend on Level and Bosses
The quests you can receive aren’t completely fixed.
Two important things affect what you can farm:
- Your current level
- Which bosses are currently available on the map
As your level increases, you’ll gain access to harder quests.
However, the current server you’re playing on also matters because other players can defeat bosses before you get there.
This is one of the biggest things you need to understand if you want to make your leveling sessions more efficient.
Use a Low-Population Server
When you’re farming boss quests, I recommend checking the server list and joining a server with fewer players.
You don’t necessarily need an completely empty server, but having fewer players around can make the boss farming process much easier.
Think about what happens on a crowded server.
You accept a quest and travel all the way across the map to your target. When you arrive, another player has already defeated the boss.
Now you have spent all that time traveling without making progress on your quest.
You have to wait for the boss to return or find another target.
A quieter server reduces the amount of competition for bosses. This gives you a better chance of finding the targets you need and moving from one quest to the next without someone else clearing the boss first.
If you’re constantly arriving at locations and finding that your boss is already dead, switching servers can save you a lot of time.
Pay Attention to Quest Rarity
Once you’re doing boss quests, another thing you should pay attention to is quest rarity.
There are different quest rarities, including:
- Epic
- Legendary
- Mythic
Higher-rarity quests provide better rewards, so don’t automatically accept the first quest you see without checking your available options.
If you have a Mythic quest available and you can comfortably defeat the boss, that’s the type of quest you should prioritize.
After Mythic, look for Legendary, followed by Epic.
This can help you get more experience and cash from the quests you’re already completing.
Don’t Take a Quest You Can’t Finish
There is one important exception.
A higher-rarity quest isn’t useful if the boss is too difficult for your current build.
For example, you might see a Mythic quest with a great reward, but if you can’t defeat the boss consistently, you’ll spend more time losing fights than gaining experience.
In that situation, take a quest you can actually complete.
You can continue working on your damage, survivability, weapons, and other upgrades, then return to the harder boss once your character is ready.
The goal isn’t simply to find the quest with the biggest reward.
The goal is to maximize the amount of experience you earn over time.
Unlock Shrines to Reduce Travel Time
Traveling is another major part of the boss-quest grind.
Bosses are spread across the map, so if you’re constantly running from one side of the world to the other, a huge part of your farming session can disappear just because you’re traveling.
This is where shrines become extremely useful.
Shrines allow you to teleport closer to different areas of the map, which means you can spend less time running toward your next boss.
Unlock the Shrines You Actually Need
You don’t need to unlock every shrine immediately.
Instead, start with the shrines that are useful for the quests you’re currently farming.
Shrines cost money, but the boss quests you’re completing also give you cash. You can use some of those earnings to unlock useful teleport locations as you continue progressing.
For example, if you’re repeatedly getting quests around a certain part of the map, unlocking a shrine nearby can save you a lot of travel time over dozens of quests.
As you move into new areas and start receiving quests in different locations, unlock additional shrines.
Use Shrines Before Every Long Trip
Before traveling to a boss, check whether you already have a shrine near the target.
If you do, teleport there first and then travel the remaining distance on foot.
It might only save a few minutes on one quest, but when you’re completing dozens of quests, those saved minutes add up quickly.
The less time you spend running around, the more time you can spend actually completing objectives.
Keep Using Boss Quests as You Progress
One of the best parts of this method is that you don’t immediately outgrow it after becoming a Slayer or Demon.
As your level increases, the quests become harder and the available targets change.
That means you can continue using boss quests later in the game as your character becomes stronger.
You’re essentially combining leveling with progression.
While completing quests, you’re also fighting bosses and getting opportunities to improve your build.
Use Your Boss Drops
Whenever you’re farming bosses, pay attention to the equipment and other useful drops you receive.
Don’t just focus on the experience bar.
If you get a weapon, piece of gear, or another useful item that improves your character, make sure you consider equipping it.
A stronger build lets you move on to tougher bosses, and tougher bosses can give you access to better quests and rewards.
So the process keeps feeding into itself:
Level up → get stronger → defeat harder bosses → complete better quests → level up faster.
Don’t Forget Experience Titles
There is another important part of this leveling method that you definitely don’t want to overlook: Experience Titles.
By completing certain quests, you can unlock titles that increase the amount of experience you receive from quest completion.
Once you unlock one, make sure you actually equip it.
Unlocking a title doesn’t help you if you leave it unequipped.
Equip Your Best Experience Titles
Quest completion is one of the main sources of experience you’re farming with this method, so experience bonuses can be very useful.
You can equip up to three titles, so take some time to check your unlocked titles and look for experience bonuses.
Don’t leave your title slots empty.
Also, don’t assume the titles you equipped earlier will always be your best options.
As you complete more quests, you may unlock another title with a better experience bonus.
Whenever you unlock something new, check your titles and update your setup if necessary.
A better title equipped now means every quest you complete afterward can benefit from that bonus.
Your Simple Boss Farming Routine
Once you have everything set up, your farming routine becomes very simple.
First, check your available quests.
Look at the rarity and the boss you’re being asked to defeat.
Choose the highest-rarity quest that you can complete consistently.
Before leaving, make sure the quest is actually active.
Then check the boss location and see whether you have a nearby shrine.
If you do, teleport to that shrine and travel the remaining distance.
Defeat the boss and complete the quest.
Afterward, check your available quests again and repeat the process.
While you’re doing this, keep an eye out for:
- Better quest rarities
- New experience titles
- Better weapons
- Better gear
- Useful boss drops
- New shrine locations
The idea is to keep improving your character while also making every trip between quests more efficient.
How to Level Up Faster With This Method
If you put everything together, the fastest part of this method isn’t just one particular quest.
It’s about reducing the amount of wasted time between quests.
A good farming session should look something like this:
Check quests → choose a realistic high-rarity quest → accept it → teleport to a nearby shrine → defeat the boss → collect rewards → check for upgrades and titles → take the next quest → repeat.
You also want to avoid unnecessary downtime.
Don’t stand around waiting for a boss if you can complete another quest.
Don’t spend several minutes running across the entire map if a shrine can get you closer.
Don’t choose a difficult Mythic quest if you can’t actually defeat the boss.
And don’t forget to equip experience titles after unlocking them.
All of these small improvements add up over a long leveling session.
