If you have just started playing Aniimo, you will quickly realize that not every creature is meant to do the same job. Some Aniimo are built to deal huge damage, while others are much more useful for healing, breaking enemies, restoring energy, or supporting the rest of your team.
In this Aniimo tier list, I’ll go through the strongest Aniimo for the September 2026 Global Launch meta, including the best DPS, healers, Break specialists, Regen Aniimo, and supports. I’ll also explain why each Aniimo is placed in its tier instead of simply looking at rarity or base stats.
Keep in mind that this is mainly a PvE-focused tier list covering general progression, boss fights, exploration, and team building. Some Aniimo can perform much better than their overall tier suggests when placed in the right team, especially elemental specialists and support Aniimo.
Aniimo Tier List (October 2026) – Best Menta Aniimo Guide
This tier list focuses on final evolutions, standalone Aniimo, and permanent forms rather than ranking every individual creature and evolution stage.

C Tier – Mid/Niche Aniimo
Bouldus currently sits in C Tier because its strongest value depends heavily on a specific Earth setup, particularly its interaction with Waleetle.
That doesn’t make Bouldus useless. It simply means that outside of the correct team, there are more flexible options available.
How I Rank Aniimo
I don’t rank Aniimo simply by looking at their rarity or one impressive stat.
Each Aniimo has a different role, so I judge it based on how well it performs that role and how much value it gives to the entire team.
Role Performance
DPS Aniimo need reliable damage, while Break Aniimo need to consistently create openings.
For support and healing Aniimo, personal damage is much less important than whether their buffs, healing, energy regeneration, or utility actually help the team.
Consistency
An Aniimo might have an extremely powerful ability, but that doesn’t automatically make it one of the best.
I also look at:
- Energy costs
- Attack animations
- Setup time
- Accuracy
- Cooldowns
- How easy the rotation is to maintain
- How often the Aniimo can actually perform its role
A reliable Aniimo can be more useful than one with higher theoretical damage.
Survivability
Survivability is especially important during difficult boss fights.
Healing, shields, defensive abilities, mobility, strong defenses, and safe attack animations can all increase an Aniimo’s practical value.
Team Contribution
Some Aniimo don’t look impressive when you only look at their personal damage.
However, things such as:
- Elemental resistance reduction
- Break buffs
- Team damage buffs
- Energy regeneration
- Crowd control
- Enemy grouping
- Healing
- Shields
can make them extremely valuable to a team.
Content Performance
I also separate general PvE, boss fights, exploration, and other game modes.
An Aniimo that destroys normal enemies isn’t automatically the best boss Aniimo.
Likewise, an Aniimo with excellent Pathfinding or Mobility can be extremely useful for exploration without being a top combat choice.
Team Flexibility
Aniimo that can work in multiple team compositions generally have more value than extremely specialized creatures.
However, specialized Aniimo can still be excellent when you build the correct team around them.
Best Aniimo for Beginners
If you’re completely new to Aniimo, I wouldn’t recommend immediately chasing the highest-ranked creatures without thinking about your team.
Your first goal should be building a balanced team with:
DPS + Break + Healer + Support
Helion and Lunara
Helion and Lunara are the natural starting options because you choose between them at the beginning.
Helion is the more straightforward melee option. It provides physical damage, grouping, mobility, healing, and AoE attacks.
Lunara offers ranged pressure, Break utility, sustain, and energy recovery. It takes a little more attention to its stacks and resistance reduction, but it can fit into many different teams.
Both starters remain useful for much longer than the beginning of the game.
Also remember that Fennelun and Soleon are temporary combat transformations, not separate permanent evolutions.
Gracewing
If you want a reliable healer, Gracewing is one of the safest choices to build toward.
It provides:
- Healing
- Debuff removal
- Shields
- Emergency team healing
- Ongoing recovery
This makes it very forgiving for newer players who are still learning enemy attacks and boss mechanics.
Its weakness is that it doesn’t provide strong Break or damage, so you’ll still want a dedicated DPS and breaker alongside it.
Breaker Options
A balanced team also needs someone who can consistently Break enemies.
Tubster is especially useful because it combines strong Break pressure with shielding and defensive utility.
Other Break options such as Inferlupa, Rookey, Geoclaw, and Shrubclaw can also perform very well depending on your element and team.
S Tier Aniimo Explained
Irisalis – Grass DPS
Role: DPS
Element: Grass
Tier: S
Irisalis is my current provisional pick for a developed Grass team.
It has strong Attack and is designed around ranged pressure and area damage.
Its base stats include:
- HP: 90
- Break: 56
- Attack: 130
- Physical Defense: 78
- Magic Defense: 78
- Regen: 108
I wouldn’t expect Irisalis to handle every role by itself, though.
Give it a dedicated Break specialist and elemental support so it can focus on dealing damage.
Leafy and Melloblum are natural teammates when building around Grass damage.
Its exact launch rotation still needs more testing, so I would treat this as an early recommendation rather than a permanent damage ranking.
Gracewing – Wind Healer
Role: HEAL
Element: Wind
Tier: S
Gracewing is one of the strongest general-purpose healing options.
It has access to ongoing recovery, debuff removal, shields, and emergency team healing.
Its base stats are:
- HP: 110
- Break: 50
- Attack: 98
- Physical Defense: 85
- Magic Defense: 85
- Regen: 104
One important detail is that Healing Dance reduces Break damage taken, rather than reducing every type of incoming damage.
Gracewing also isn’t a dedicated breaker, so you’ll still want another Aniimo to handle that job.
Inferlupa – Fire/Dark Break
Role: BREAK
Elements: Fire/Dark
Tier: S
Inferlupa is one of the strongest Break specialists for the current PvE meta.
It has:
- 95 HP
- 108 Break
- 89 Attack
- 70 Physical Defense
- 80 Magic Defense
- 99 Regen
Its biggest advantage is its ability to improve Break efficiency against affected targets.
The idea is simple: Inferlupa creates the opening, then your DPS Aniimo takes advantage of it.
It can also build Full Energy through basic attacks and use its empowered abilities when the right opening appears.
Tubster – Wind Break
Role: BREAK
Element: Wind
Tier: S
Tubster combines Break utility with defensive support.
Its base Break is 107, while it also has:
- 108 HP
- 80 Attack
- 66 Physical Defense
- 109 Magic Defense
- 80 Regen
Its shield is an important part of its kit.
While shielded, its Break efficiency increases significantly, while Ceasefire Drum can reduce incoming damage inside its field.
This makes Tubster especially useful when you want your Breaker to provide defensive utility at the same time.
Rookey – Dark Break
Role: BREAK
Element: Dark
Tier: S
Rookey moved into S Tier following a closer look at its Break potential and overall utility.
Its base stats include:
- HP: 100
- Break: 105
- Attack: 90
- Physical Defense: 100
- Magic Defense: 70
- Regen: 75
One of its biggest strengths is Bouncy Sling, which makes affected targets take increased Break damage.
That makes Rookey useful for setting up a large damage window for the rest of your team.
It also has defensive tools and excellent exploration utility, making it one of the more flexible Break choices.
Best A Tier Aniimo
Eklue
Eklue is a Wind support specialist that works particularly well in Wind-focused teams.
It can lower Wind resistance and provide Wind damage support, making it a natural partner for Wind DPS Aniimo.
Cornet and other Wind attackers can benefit heavily from Eklue.
Glacy
Glacy is a Water/Ice healer with strong HP and Magic Defense.
Its healing works particularly well when your team can remain within its recovery zone.
It also provides a team damage buff, making it more than just a pure healer.
Leafy
Leafy is an excellent option for Grass-focused teams.
It provides energy to Grass teammates, healing, Grass damage buffs, and terrain-related utility.
If your main DPS is Grass, Leafy becomes much more valuable.
Somniwing
Somniwing is a Wind/Grass Regen Aniimo with excellent energy utility.
Its ability to absorb enemy projectiles and help teammates recover energy gives it a useful support role.
Its sleep effect can also interrupt vulnerable enemies, although you shouldn’t rely on that against every boss.
Fulmintis
Fulmintis is one of the stronger Lightning DPS choices.
It has 130 base Attack and a kit that revolves around critical hits and energy recovery.
Lightning Surge can increase its skill critical rate, while critical skills help restore energy.
This creates a strong loop where you can maintain your offensive rotation for longer.
Its boss rating is particularly strong when it gets enough uninterrupted attack time.
Grizbo
Grizbo is a strong Earth DPS with 124 Attack.
Its Enraged state improves attack speed, skill damage, and energy recovery.
Rock Smash can also fill its Rage immediately, giving you a reliable way to begin the powered-up rotation.
It works particularly well when supported by Earth-focused teammates.
Scorchhowl
Scorchhowl is a practical Fire DPS choice.
It has 119 Attack and several tools that reward successful dodges and proper Fire setup.
Its Fire Kick costs no EP, while Burn Break can convert additional energy into stronger attacks.
Sparkelf is a useful partner for a Fire-focused team.
Stellarys
Stellarys is a Dark DPS with 125 Attack.
Its Shadow Magic provides several useful tools, including a clone and position swap.
It can also build damage through its star-based mechanics.
Fragrancier is a strong support partner when building a Dark team around Stellarys.
Cornet
Cornet is one of the more useful Wind DPS options.
It has:
- 121 Attack
- Fly Lv.3
- Wind synergy
- Ranged attacks
- Strong exploration utility
Eklue and Tromber are natural teammates because they improve the Wind-focused setup.
Pawney
Pawney is a Dark DPS that performs particularly well during Break windows.
Its damage improves against controlled or Broken enemies, making Rookey a natural partner.
If your team can consistently create Break opportunities, Pawney becomes much more effective.
Best Aniimo by Role
Instead of simply chasing the highest letter tier, you should build your team around different roles.
| Role | Aniimo | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Best Healer | Gracewing | Healing, cleansing, shields, and emergency recovery |
| Offensive Breaker | Inferlupa / Rookey | Strong Break pressure and Break-related debuffs |
| Defensive Breaker | Tubster | Break utility combined with shields and team protection |
| Boss DPS | Fulmintis | Strong critical and energy-recovery loop |
| Grass DPS | Irisalis | Strong Attack and Grass-focused damage |
| Beginner DPS | Helion / Lunara | Both starters remain useful beyond the early game |
| Wind Support | Eklue | Wind resistance reduction and Wind buffs |
| Grass Support | Leafy / Melloblum | Strong Grass team synergy |
| Lightning Support | Besauce / Dazmand / Luminelle | Different Lightning-focused buffs and energy tools |
| Water Support | Erlath | Energy generation and Water damage support |
| Exploration | Erlath | Excellent combination of Fly and Swim utility |
The Aniimo Global Launch meta is still developing, so I would not treat this tier list as permanently fixed. Some Aniimo have already moved between tiers as their Break potential, energy mechanics, elemental support, and overall team value have been tested more closely.
For now, Irisalis, Gracewing, Inferlupa, Tubster, and Rookey make up the S Tier group for general PvE-focused recommendations. A Tier is much larger because many Aniimo can be extremely strong when their specific team requirements are met.
Most importantly, don’t assume that the highest rarity automatically means the best choice. A lower-ranked Aniimo with the correct element, role, and team synergy can perform much better than a higher-rarity creature that doesn’t fit your composition.
For beginners, I recommend building around a simple DPS + Break + Heal + Support structure. Once you understand your team’s strengths, you can start specializing into elemental compositions and more advanced rotations.
And remember, a tier list is only a starting point. Your actual team, investment, skill choices, enemy matchup, and ability to execute the rotation will all affect how strong an Aniimo feels in real gameplay.
