Sledding Game Fishing Guide – Fish Spawn Rate, Values

Fishing in Sledding Game looks simple on the surface, but there is actually a surprising amount happening behind the scenes. Every fish you catch is controlled by several layered systems involving spawn weights, rarity rolls, size buckets, shiny odds, and hidden value calculations that most players would never normally notice.

Whether you are trying to complete every fishing achievement, hunt massive trophy fish, or simply make millions of points efficiently, understanding how the fishing system works completely changes the experience.

This guide breaks down every major mechanic, all fish spawn rates, exact sell formulas, achievement bugs, shiny odds, and even the arcade wheel probabilities. Everything here is written in simple terms so you can actually understand what the numbers mean during real gameplay.

Sledding Game Fishing Guide – Fish Spawn Rate, Values

If you are completely new to fishing, getting started is easy once you know where everything is located.

First, head to the lodge and visit the prop and tool stall located on the far right side of the three shop stalls. There, you can purchase a Fishing Rod for 10,000 points.

After buying it:

  • Equip the rod
  • Travel to any fishing spot on the mountain
  • Hold the action button to charge your cast
  • Release to throw the bobber into the water

The maximum cast charge takes about 2 seconds and reaches roughly 10 meters.

Once the bobber lands, all you need to do is wait for a fish to bite. Bite times are randomly selected between 1 and 20 seconds for every cast.

When the rod suddenly tugs:

  • React quickly
  • Reel the fish in within 0.5 to 2 seconds

If you miss the timing window, the fish escapes completely.

One important thing many players do not realize is that you must stay within 40 meters of your bobber while fishing. If you move too far away, the line snaps instantly.

After catching fish, return to the Fishing Stall inside the lodge to sell them for points.

Generally:

  • Bigger fish sell for more
  • Rarer fish types sell for more
  • Shiny fish sell for much more

All 8 Fishing Spot Locations

There are exactly 8 fishing spots on the mountain.

Each spot is a tiny interaction circle with a radius of roughly 0.75 meters around a body of water.

None of them are marked on the in-game map, which is why many players accidentally miss several of them during normal gameplay.

The spots are divided into three general areas:

Area Elevation Number of Spots
Base Mountain Area ~30m 3
Mid-Mountain Village ~149m 2
High Mountain Lake ~430m 3

The important thing to understand is that every single fishing location shares the exact same fish pool.

There are:

  • No biome differences
  • No location-specific fish
  • No hidden rare zones

A Whale can appear in the starter pond just as easily as the mountain lake.

Because of that, the best fishing spot is simply whichever one feels most convenient for you.

How the Catch System Works

Every fish catch is determined by four completely independent random rolls.

This means the game separately decides:

  1. Fish type
  2. Rarity
  3. Size bucket
  4. Shiny status

None of these affect each other.

That independence is important because it allows extremely rare combinations to happen, including absurd catches like shiny BIG whales.

Fish Type Roll

The game first selects one fish from a weighted pool of 20 different fish species.

Higher weight values mean the fish appears more often.

Bass are the most common fish in the game, while Whales are the rarest.

19 Weird Fish 60 0.87% 2.0m
20 Whale 25 0.36% 8.0m

Total fish weight pool: 6,925.

Fish Rarity System

The game also rolls a rarity tier for every catch.

Interestingly, rarity currently does absolutely nothing meaningful.

It does not affect:

  • Sell price
  • Achievements
  • Fish stats
  • UI behavior

It appears to be leftover unfinished content from development.

Still, here are the full rarity odds.

Full Rarity Tier Odds

Rarity Weight Probability Approx Odds
Common 1000 54.02% 1 in 2
Uncommon 500 27.01% 1 in 4
Rare 200 10.81% 1 in 9
UltraRare 100 5.40% 1 in 19
Legendary 50 2.70% 1 in 37
Conspiracy 1 0.054% 1 in 1,851

Total rarity weight pool: 1,851.

Even though Conspiracy rarity is absurdly rare, it currently has no gameplay impact whatsoever.

Fish Size Buckets

After rarity, the game rolls a size bucket.

This is one of the most important systems because fish length directly affects selling price.

The game takes the fish’s default size and multiplies it using a random range from the selected bucket.

Full Size Bucket Table

Size Weight Probability Multiplier
Mini 100 4.65% 0.1× to 0.5×
Small 500 23.25% 0.5× to 1.0×
Normal 1000 46.49% 1.0× to 1.5×
Large 500 23.25% 1.5× to 2.0×
Giant 50 2.32% 3.0× to 4.0×
BIG 1 0.046% 4.0× to 10.0×

Example Fish Sizes

Whale

  • Mini: 0.8m to 4m
  • Small: 4m to 8m
  • Normal: 8m to 12m
  • Large: 12m to 16m
  • Giant: 24m to 32m
  • BIG: 32m to 80m

Bass

  • Mini: 5cm to 25cm
  • Small: 25cm to 50cm
  • Normal: 50cm to 75cm
  • Large: 75cm to 100cm
  • Giant: 150cm to 200cm
  • BIG: 200cm to 500cm

BIG fish are considered trophy-tier catches.

The “The BIG One” achievement specifically requires catching any fish from the BIG bucket.

Shiny Fish Explained

Every catch also has an independent shiny roll.

The exact shiny chance is:

  • 10% per cast

The shiny roll is completely independent from:

  • Fish type
  • Rarity
  • Size

This means even a Whale can be shiny.

Shiny fish:

  • Sell for double value
  • Unlock the “This One Sparkles” achievement

Most players will naturally obtain a shiny fish after roughly 10 catches on average.

Fishing Achievements

There are four fishing-related achievements in the game.

Achievement Requirement
Fishing Game Catch your first fish
The BIG One Catch any BIG-sized fish
This One Sparkles Catch any shiny fish
Fisherman Catch all 20 fish types

The Fisherman Achievement Bug

Unfortunately, the Fisherman achievement is currently bugged.

The game tracks fish using a temporary HashSet during your active session, but this set is NOT properly rebuilt after loading your save.

That means:

  • Your collection saves correctly
  • Your unique fish counter does not

As a result, the achievement only unlocks if all 20 fish types are caught during one uninterrupted play session.

You cannot:

  • Quit the game
  • Return to menu
  • Reload progress

The moment you restart, the counter effectively resets internally.

Estimated Catches for Fisherman Achievement

Because of rare fish like:

  • Whale
  • Weird Fish

you may need around:

  • 1,500 total catches

to realistically see all 20 fish in one session.

Most of the grind comes from waiting for the rarest fish.

Expected averages:

  • Whale: roughly 1 in 277 casts
  • Weird Fish: roughly 1 in 115 casts

Compound Rare Catch Odds

Because all systems are independent, probabilities multiply together.

This creates some absolutely insane rarity combinations.

Rare Catch Probability Table

Catch Type Probability Approx Odds
Any Whale 0.36% 1 in 277
Shiny Whale 0.036% 1 in 2,770
BIG Whale 0.000168% 1 in 596,000
Conspiracy Whale 0.000195% 1 in 513,000
Shiny BIG Whale 0.0000168% 1 in 5,960,000
Shiny BIG Conspiracy Whale 0.00000000091% 1 in 110 billion

That final combination is so absurdly rare that most players will obviously never see one naturally.

Ticket Master Wheel Odds

The guide also uncovered the exact arcade wheel odds tied to the “Ticket Master” achievement.

To unlock it, you must:

  • Earn 200 tickets in one spin

That means landing on the 200-ticket jackpot slice.

The wheel costs:

  • 5,000 points per spin

Full Arcade Wheel Odds

Reward Segments Arc Size Probability
2 Tickets 5 290° 80.56%
10 Tickets 2 40° 11.11%
40 Tickets 2 20° 5.56%
0 Tickets 2 1.67%
200 Tickets 1 1.11%

Ticket Master Statistics

Expected values:

  • Average tickets per spin: 7.17
  • Average cost per ticket: ~698 points
  • Average spins for jackpot: 90
  • Estimated achievement cost: ~450,000 points

Probability estimates:

  • 50% chance within 62 spins
  • 99% chance within 412 spins

Fishing in Sledding Game is honestly far deeper than most players expect. What initially feels like a simple side activity turns into a surprisingly complex system full of hidden calculations, layered probabilities, and absurdly rare trophy catches.
