If you’ve been away from Hero Siege for a bit… this is one of those updates where you log in and immediately feel like something is very different.
And that’s because it is.
Season 9 isn’t just a reset with a few tweaks. It actually changes how you build, how you farm, and honestly, how you think about the game. So instead of dumping patch notes on you, let me break this down the way you’d actually want to understand it before jumping in.
The Big One – Incarnation Tree
This is the first thing you’ll notice.
The old hero tree? Gone.
Replaced by something much bigger—the Incarnation Tree, and it’s massive:
- Over 1,600 nodes
- Fully passive-based
- Way more flexibility
What this means in real terms:
You’re no longer locked into a few “best builds.”
You can actually experiment again.
In Season 8, it felt like:
“Play meta or fall behind.”
Now it’s more like:
“Build smart and you’ll still be strong.”
And honestly, that alone changes the entire feel of the game.
Ether Tree
This one is easy to underestimate, but it’s huge.
Think of the Ether Tree like a system where you decide:
- What you farm
- How you farm
- And what rewards you prioritize
Instead of everyone doing the same 1–2 farming methods, now you can shape your own grind.
So if you like:
- Boss farming → spec into it
- Loot-heavy runs → spec into that
- Specific mechanics → build around them
This is probably the biggest long-term change for endgame players.
New Uber Boss – Architect of Rune
There’s also a new high-end boss:
- Architect of Rune
To unlock it:
- Collect fragments from Legion monsters
- Combine them into a summon item
We don’t fully know how strong the loot is yet, but one thing is clear:
This is meant to be endgame content, not something you casually farm early.
New Class + Free DLC Classes
This part is actually huge for newer players.
- New class: Prophet
- 6 old DLC classes are now FREE:
- Samurai
- Paladin
- Amazon
- Demon Slayer
- Demon Spawn
- Shaman
So if you’re coming back or starting fresh, you suddenly have way more options without spending anything.
The Two Fixes That Matter Most
Let’s be honest—these matter more than new content.
1. Performance Fix
The game has been optimized:
- Better CPU usage
- Smoother gameplay
- Less lag
If you’ve had frame drops before, this should feel noticeably better.
2. Economy Fix (This Is Huge)
Items are now server-side.
Which means:
- No more duping
- RMT (real money trading) is way harder
If you’ve played before, you know how bad it got:
- Prices inflated
- Legit items lost value
Now? Fresh economy, actually clean.
This alone might be the best change in the entire update.
Meta Changes
If you played Season 8, reset your mindset.
Chaos Pillar Farming – Nerfed
That dominant farming method?
- No longer the go-to
With Ether Tree now in play, the meta is wide open again.
Nobody fully knows the best farming strategy yet—and that’s honestly the exciting part.
Item Changes (Big Impact)
A lot of items got adjusted to fit their intended roles.
Example:
- Some items no longer work across all builds
- Stats are now more specific and balanced
So if you were abusing off-meta item combos before… yeah, those probably won’t work anymore.
What Items Are Worth Chasing Now?
Let’s talk realistically—what should you care about?
Overloaded Dice
- Slight nerf, but still strong
- Now rarer → more valuable
- Huge if it rolls on a good skill
This is likely one of the top chase items this season.
Charms (Lowkey OP Now)
This is something a lot of players will sleep on early.
Now:
- Small charms → up to 3 affixes
- Large → 4
- Grand → 5
If you get a good roll, it can be insanely valuable.
Don’t ignore charms anymore.
Jewels
- Bad stats removed
- Better roll pool
Translation:
More consistent value, less trash drops.
Essence Vaults
Previously ignored by many, but now:
- Easier to complete
- Better rewards
Definitely something to include in your farming loop now.
Small Changes
These might look minor, but they improve the experience a lot:
- Portals now show on minimap
- Market suggests item prices automatically
- Merchant can identify all items at once
- Multiplayer scaling reduced → playing with friends is better
That last one especially—it’s now actually worth grouping up.
Season 9 feels like a reset in the best way possible.
Not just progress reset—but:
- Systems reset
- Meta reset
- Economy reset
If you’ve been waiting for a good time to:
- Return to the game
- Start fresh
- Or actually take it seriously
This is it.
