So before we jump into rankings and all that tier list stuff… let me just say this — Season 9 is messy in a good way. There’s so much going on with new augments, Incarnation Tree paths, and skill changes that you can’t just say “this class is best” and call it a day.
Hero Siege Season 9 Class Tier List – Best Classes 2026 April
I went through everything carefully, and instead of just throwing a boring list at you, I’m going to walk you through every single class mentioned, what actually feels good, what struggles, and what you should realistically expect when playing them.
Amazon
Not much testing was done here, and honestly, that says a lot. Right now, Amazon isn’t really part of the main conversation. It’s not that it’s terrible — it’s just not standing out compared to everything else.
Bard
Bard is one of those classes that feels solid but not broken.
- Lightning Bard – Reliable leveling, good damage, nothing flashy
- Flicker Strike – Sounds cool, but honestly… not worth it early
You’ll have a smooth time, but you won’t feel overpowered.
Butcher
This class is very gear-dependent.
- Slicing Throw – Starts okay, then drops hard early on
- Later becomes usable with augments, but never truly shines
It’s playable, just not something you’d pick if you want an easy run.
Demon Slayer
Feels average at first, then improves later.
- Bullet Hell – Decent damage, but slow due to no mobility
- Slice of Shadows – Slightly weaker early option
Once augments kick in, it becomes much more enjoyable.
Illusionist
This is where things start getting crazy.
- Age of Proliferation – Easily one of the best builds in the game
You get:
- Teleport
- Strong AoE
- Smooth leveling
If you want a stress-free experience, this is one of the safest picks.
Jotunn
Another top-tier option.
- Orb of Frost – Insanely strong once unlocked
- Great scaling + easy gameplay
This is one of those builds where everything just melts without effort.
Marauder
Early game? Not great. Later? Much better.
- Bomb / Heavy Ball – Weak early, decent later
- Pain Trap – Not usable early
Once augments unlock, the class finally starts to feel alive.
Marksman
Very dependent on what you build.
- Multi-shot – Balanced and consistent
- Frag Grenade – Strong vs bosses, inconsistent AoE
- Gunner Drone – This is the real star later on
Drone build becomes one of the strongest mid-game options.
Necromancer
This one is… tricky.
- Summoner – Feels annoying early (constant resummoning)
- Poison Nova – Weak early, better later
- Bone Shred – Strong early, falls off later
You can make it work, but it’s not beginner-friendly.
Nomad
Underrated early, insane later.
- Sand Gush – High damage, but requires close range
Once you get augments, this build absolutely melts everything. Easily S-tier later.
Paladin
A bit slow, but reliable.
- Hammerdin – Decent but not exciting
- Lightning Paladin – Better scaling
- Fist of the Heavens – Okay clear, weaker bossing
Safe pick, just not the fastest.
Pirate
Actually more fun than expected.
- Anchor Swing – Strong early option
- Cannonball – Good single target
- Parrots – Playable but inconsistent
Good starter, but lacks mobility which holds it back.
Plague Doctor
Feels rough early.
- Crematus – Bad early, much better with augments
Once you invest into skill haste and duration, it becomes decent.
Pyromancer
Honestly… just avoid early.
- Scorching Aura – One of the worst leveling experiences
Doesn’t feel good even after changes.
Redneck
Weird but interesting.
- Pickup Raid – Strong but uptime issues
- Chainsaw Slash – Good boss damage, poor scaling
Feels inconsistent until later levels.
Samurai
High skill, high reward.
- Explosive Kunai – Strong with good aim
- Blade Barrier – Solid but nerfed multiple times
- Shuriken Throw – Playable but outclassed
If you can aim well, this class feels amazing.
Shaman
Mixed experience.
- Totems – Decent early, falls off
- Tornado – Strong but delayed damage
Playable, but not top-tier.
Shield Lancer
Feels bad early… then suddenly amazing.
- Shield Wall / Hone Defenses – Becomes extremely strong later
Once it scales, it turns into a boss-killing machine.
Stormweaver
One of the most consistent classes.
- Charge Bolts – S-tier leveling
- Lightning Surge – Slightly weaker
- Storm Cloud – Insane later
Always a safe and powerful pick.
Viking
Very satisfying progression.
- Odin’s Fury – Weak early, insane after unlock
- Whirlwind – Finally viable this season
- Shockwave – Mid-late game option
Once it ramps, it really ramps.
White Mage
Not much tested here.
- Mana Orb / Burst of Light – Promising but unclear
Still kind of a mystery in the current meta.
Exo
Speed king early game.
- Solar Dash – Fastest leveling build
- Black Hole – Becomes strong later
Early game carry, mid-game transition.
Demon Spawn
Simple and powerful.
- Blood & Bone – Huge damage, easy gameplay
Only downside is lack of mobility, but damage makes up for it.
Prophet
Balanced but not exciting.
- Thorned Roots – Average overall
- Minions – Improve later but still fragile
- Physical build – Needs gear
Nothing broken, nothing terrible.
If I had to talk to you like a friend and not just throw numbers:
- Want easy mode? → Illusionist, Jotunn, Stormweaver
- Want scaling power? → Nomad, Viking
- Want fun + skill? → Samurai
- Want experimental builds? → Necromancer, Prophet
Season 9 isn’t about “one best class.” It’s about what feels good for you at different stages.
And honestly? That’s what makes this season actually fun.
