The Grow A Garden universe just got a lot juicier—and a little more terrifying—with the arrival of the Blood Moon Event, Chocolate Rain, a new Blood Moon Shop, Chicken Zombie pet, and brand-new mutations, seeds, and animations. Whether you’re farming for fun or chasing rare mutations, here’s everything you need to know about this jam-packed update.
Grow A Garden Blood Moon & Chocolate Rain Update Guide
Chocolate Rain Event
Originally exclusive to the Easter event, the chocolate mutation is making a sweet return—no chocolate sprinkler required!
How it works now:
During the Chocolate Rain Event, fruits have a higher chance of developing the chocolate mutation naturally while growing. It’s a much easier way to get this rare look without needing event-specific gear.
📝 Pro Tip: Plant high-yield crops during Chocolate Rain to increase your mutation pool!
Overhaul
Two major quality-of-life improvements were added:
Organized Backpack
Your storage is now automatically sorted into categories:
Seeds, Fruits, Gears, and Pets.
No more scrolling endlessly through clutter.
Seed Preview Animations
At the Seed Shop, you can now hover over any seed to see an animated preview of its full-grown fruit. It’s a small but super helpful feature for picking your next plant.
Chicken Zombie Pet – Creepy & Useful
Say hello to your weirdest companion yet: the Chicken Zombie 🐔🧟♂️
Chicken Zombie Perks:
Every 30 mins: 20% chance to zombify a nearby fruit
+10% faster egg hatching speed
Currently, how to obtain this pet is unknown as it was freely available only in the testing server.
Blood Moon Event – New Mutation + Exclusive Shop
This update introduces the Blood Moon Event, similar to the Moonlight event—but darker, redder, and filled with exclusive rewards.
Blood-Lit Mutation:
Turns fruits red and gives them a “blood-lit” aura.
Functions similarly to moonlight mutation.
Can count as a lunar mutation when feeding to pets like the Owl!
New Seeds – Moon Melon, Blood Banana & Beanstalk!
Moon Melon & 🍌 Blood Banana
Purchased in the Blood Moon Shop
Take time to grow, but can mutate with Blood-Lit or Chocolate effects
Ideal for testing new mutations
Beanstalk Seed
New rarity: Prismatic
Possibly the rarest (and most expensive) seed so far
Price TBA, likely Robux-only or ultra-premium
Comes with its own unique animation
Full testing on Beanstalk will be coming in a future update video or patch.
Mutation Stack Example
Yes, stacked mutations are possible! For example:
A Blood-Lit Chocolate Strawberry was spotted during testing.
Sold for 165 Shekels – not much for a strawberry, but the combo potential is promising.
This means you can experiment with double mutations for fun, profit, or pet XP bonuses!
