Oaken Tower Silver Lance Build Guide (10 Trophies Meta)

If you’ve been checking the current Oaken Tower meta, you’ve probably noticed one build sitting comfortably at the top: Silver Lance.

It’s easy to see why. The build has a smooth early game, scales incredibly well into the late game, and doesn’t require perfect luck to reach 10 trophies. Instead of relying on one massive carry, you’re gradually building critical strike bonuses across multiple Silver Lance copies before converting them into an incredibly powerful end-game board centered around Frozen Orb.

The first time I tried this build, I made one huge mistake—I upgraded my Silver Lance too early. It felt natural, but I ended up missing a ton of free critical strike value from Spyglass. Once I learned to be a little more patient, the build became much more consistent.

If you’re looking for one of the strongest ladder builds in the current patch, this is an excellent place to start.

Core Strategy Stack Crit on Silver Lance before transitioning into Frozen Orb

Core Perks

Prioritize these perks whenever possible:

  • Strike
  • Tempo
  • Toxic

Each one contributes something important.

  • Strike gives you an extra Silver Lance while also setting up Frozen Orb later.
  • Tempo helps you find more Silver Lance copies faster.
  • Toxic naturally wins plenty of early rounds when paired with Multicast effects.

Core Build

Your ideal late-game setup should look something like this:

  • Silver Lance ★★
  • Lapis Lazuli ★
  • Frostbound ★
  • Winter’s Embrace ★
  • Frozen Jaw ★
  • Frozen Orb

Everything revolves around reaching this board as consistently as possible.

Early Item Priority

Whenever the shop appears, look for these items first:

  1. Silver Lance
  2. Spyglass
  3. Draconic Spear
  4. Lapis Lazuli

These four items form the backbone of the entire build.

If the shop refuses to cooperate, don’t panic.

Several temporary items can comfortably carry you until your core pieces appear.

Good backup options include:

  • Topaz Spear
  • Venomstrike
  • Runic Shield

These aren’t permanent pieces, but they’ll help preserve your win streak.

Flexible Items

Depending on what the shop offers, these items can fit into the build nicely:

  • Dream Catcher
  • High Blade
  • Conjure Spear
  • Moonveil
  • Nightquill

They’re rarely mandatory but can strengthen your board while waiting for your main upgrades.

Day-by-Day Strategy

Day 1

Your opening goal is simple.

Find one of these:

  • Silver Lance
  • Draconic Spear

If neither appears, prioritize pairing inexpensive 15-cost items.

Some of the strongest early pickups include:

  • Novice Blade
  • Bone
  • Refined Spear

Don’t chase expensive upgrades yet.

Just build the strongest board possible.

Days 2–3

These are setup days.

Every day you should:

  • Level up.
  • Freeze Silver Lance copies.
  • Freeze useful pairing opportunities.

If you meet the Priest on Day 3, always choose Healing Touch.

One extra bit of survivability now is worth much more than greedier options.

If leveling allows you to immediately create a starred item, go ahead and combine it.

Otherwise, simply freeze the shop and prepare for Day 4.

Day 4 Is the Most Important Turn

This is the point where the build really begins.

Roll aggressively until you find a Spyglass.

Here’s the important part that many players miss:

Don’t combine your Silver Lance copies immediately.

Instead:

  • Keep multiple copies.
  • Position Spyglass between them.
  • Let each copy accumulate critical strike bonuses.

Those accumulated crit bonuses carry over when the items are eventually combined, creating a much stronger weapon than rushing the upgrade.

Patience pays off here.

Days 5–7

Continue leveling every day.

While doing so, search for your remaining core items.

If leveling would prevent you from buying an important piece, freeze the shop instead.

Once your Silver Lance has absorbed enough Spyglass buffs over one or two rounds, it’s finally safe to combine it into a stronger version.

Finding Lapis Lazuli during this stage is another huge power spike because it further increases your board’s scaling potential.

Day 8

By now you should ideally be Level 7.

This is usually where I stop rushing experience and begin rolling more aggressively.

Your highest priority becomes:

  • Frozen Jaw

Once your main board starts coming together, don’t hesitate to sell temporary items.

Even Lapis Lazuli eventually becomes replaceable if stronger end-game pieces appear.

Day 9 Encounter Choices

Your Day 9 encounter can dramatically influence the rest of the run.

Lyra (Best Choice)

If Lyra appears, choose Northern Blessing.

This lets you Frosty your Silver Lance while granting a free Frozen Orb, making the transition incredibly smooth.

Celestia

Also an excellent encounter.

If you’ve maintained a perfect win streak, you may actually finish your climb before your Silver Lance fully evolves.

Day 10 and Beyond

By this point, your board should be largely complete.

Don’t worry too much if you lose a round or two.

The build scales exceptionally well into longer games.

When reaching the Bishop encounter on Day 11, choose:

Exaltation

The additional health and global damage bonus generally provide much more value than gambling on Lucky Shops you may never fully utilize.

Best Encounter Choices

Prioritize these encounters whenever possible:

Day Best Encounter
Day 3 Priest (Healing Touch)
Day 4 Blacksmith → Pirate → Potion Seller → Traveller
Day 6 Elder → Enchanter → Chronomancer
Day 9 Lyra → Celestia → Drakk’Zar → Count Vlado
Day 11 Bishop (Exaltation)

The Silver Lance build has earned its place among the strongest strategies in Oaken Tower because it offers a great balance of consistency and late-game power. Rather than relying on high-roll luck, it rewards careful planning—holding multiple Silver Lance copies, maximizing Spyglass buffs, and timing your upgrades correctly.

If there’s one piece of advice I’d give after playing this build, it’s to resist the temptation to combine your weapons too early. It feels like you’re getting stronger immediately, but waiting just a couple of rounds to stack extra critical strike bonuses can make a huge difference once everything comes together. By the time you’re rolling for Frozen Jaw and Frozen Orb, you’ll have a board that’s more than capable of pushing toward a clean 10 Trophy run.
