Necesse gives you an enormous number of weapons to experiment with, and choosing the best weapon isn’t as straightforward as finding whichever item has the largest Damage number.
Attack speed, range, projectiles, piercing, homing, critical potential, crowd control, healing, summon-slot efficiency, and special attacks can completely change how useful a weapon feels in actual combat. A weapon with lower listed damage can sometimes outperform a harder-hitting alternative simply because it attacks more consistently or deals with groups much better.
There is another particularly important detail when comparing DPS: Armor mitigates damage on each individual hit. This means extremely rapid weapons that depend on many smaller hits can lose more effective DPS against armored enemies than slower weapons delivering fewer, heavier attacks.
With that in mind, this Necesse tier list ranks the standout weapons from the provided weapon pool while also explaining which choices are strongest for different builds. Rather than pretending every weapon serves exactly the same purpose, I’ve given extra weight to practical damage, range, special effects, survivability, crowd clearing, and how easy it is to consistently get value from the weapon.
Necesse Weapon Tier List 2026 – Best Weapons for Melee, Ranged, Magic, and Summoner Builds
| Tier | Weapons |
|---|---|
| S Tier | Crystallized Skull, Void Claw, Ascended Staff, The Soulstorm, Mycelium Greatbow, Ascended Bow, Night Piercer, Antique Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Dryad Greathammer, Glacial Greatsword, Antique Bow, The Crimson Sky |
| A Tier | Slime Greatsword, Ravenwing Greatsword, Tungsten Greatbow, Hand Cannon, Shadow Beam, Cryo Quake, Emerald Wand, Ancient Dredging Staff, Swamp Dweller Staff, Gemstone Longsword, Antique Sword, Dragon’s Rebound, Night Razor, Chef’s Special, Brute’s Battleaxe, Reaper’s Call, Ruby Staff, Topaz Staff |
| B Tier | Quartz Greatsword, Necrotic Greatsword, Hexed Blade, Tungsten Sword, Venom Slasher, The Perfect Storm, Reinforced Katana, Katana, Tungsten Bow, Glacial Bow, Dryad Bow, Bow of Dualism, Vulture’s Burst, Ivy Greatbow, Slime Greatbow, Icicle Staff, Void Missile, Void Staff, Boulder Staff, Blood Grimoire, Shadow Bolt, Dragon Lance, Grizzbolt Sphere, Sentient Sword |
| C Tier | Ivy Sword, Caustic Executioner, Amethyst Sword, Cutlass, Aged Champion Sword, Bark Blade, Ravenbeak Spear, Cryo Spear, Tungsten Spear, Cryo Glaive, Slime Glaive, Butcher’s Cleaver, Carapace Dagger, Blood Claw, Ivy Bow, The Raven’s Nest, Arachnid Web Bow, Sapphire Revolver, Flintlock, Shard Cannon, Phantom Popper, Slime Staff, Quartz Staff, Chromatic Spellbook, Vampiric Lamp, Eye of the Void, Phantom Caller |
| D Tier | Most basic Wood/Copper/Iron/Gold/Frost progression weapons and other early-game equipment that is primarily intended to carry you until stronger specialized weapons become available |
The lower tiers don’t necessarily mean those weapons are unusable. Necesse has a clear progression system, so an early Wood or Copper weapon obviously shouldn’t be expected to compete statistically with a late-game weapon. The ranking is much more useful when deciding which advanced weapons are worth building around.
Best Melee Weapons in Necesse
Melee has one of the most varied weapon selections because it isn’t limited to ordinary swords. You have Greatswords, Spears, Glaives, Boomerangs, hammers, claws, axes, whips, and several unusual hybrid weapons.
Void Claw – S Tier
Damage: 160
Attack Speed: 8.3
Range: 150
Resilience Gain: 0.3
Void Claw immediately stands out as one of the nastiest melee weapons available.
The raw combination of 160 Damage and 8.3 Attack Speed is already exceptional, but its utility is what really pushes it into S Tier.
Enemies touched by the claws heal you.
You can also hold the secondary attack to rapidly charge a life-draining dash that cuts through enemies.
That means Void Claw simultaneously gives you mobility, damage, and sustain.
The healing is particularly valuable because melee builds naturally expose themselves to more danger than long-range builds. Being able to regain health through aggressive play helps compensate for that weakness.
Its extremely high attack rate does mean the per-hit Armor mechanic is worth remembering against heavily armored targets, but the overall package is still excellent.
Dryad Greathammer – S Tier
Dryad Greathammer reaches a massive 160 Damage and is designed around charged attacks.
Interestingly, you don’t simply want to hold every attack for the maximum possible charge. The weapon deals its highest damage on the second charge level.
It also applies six stacks of Dryad Haunted to enemies it hits.
Once Dryad Haunted reaches 10 stacks, a Dryad Spirit appears and temporarily immobilizes affected enemies.
This gives the Greathammer something that raw damage weapons often lack: crowd control.
Learning the second-charge timing is important. Once you get comfortable with it, you’re combining enormous individual hits with an immobilization mechanic that can make dangerous enemies significantly easier to manage.
Glacial Greatsword – S Tier
If you’re looking primarily at straightforward heavy melee damage, Glacial Greatsword is difficult to ignore.
It provides 180 Damage, which is the highest listed base damage among the Greatswords here.
Greatswords require charging before delivering a large sweeping attack, so this isn’t designed around rapidly hitting enemies over and over. Instead, you’re looking for opportunities to land enormous individual strikes.
That also makes the Armor consideration interesting.
Since Armor reduces damage on individual hits, weapons built around fewer massive attacks can fare better than weapons that divide their DPS across many tiny hits.
Gemstone Longsword – S Tier
Gemstone Longsword is one of my favorite choices for players who want traditional sword gameplay without sacrificing reach.
It provides:
90 Damage
3.3 Attack Speed
120 Range
That 120 Range is excellent for a sword, and the weapon is specifically built around devastating far-reaching attacks.
You don’t get the elaborate healing or crowd-control mechanics of some other endgame choices, but its combination of damage and reach makes it incredibly comfortable.
Antique Sword – A Tier
Antique Sword provides 92 Damage, 3.3 Attack Speed, 125 Knockback, and 90 Range.
It’s another excellent conventional sword choice.
The big appeal is consistency. Not every build needs a complicated secondary mechanic. Sometimes you want something that simply delivers strong melee damage reliably, and Antique Sword does exactly that.
Best Greatswords in Necesse
Greatswords play very differently from normal swords.
Rather than quickly swinging toward the cursor, you charge the weapon and release one enormous arc.
My overall order among the late-game options would be:
Glacial Greatsword > Ravenwing Greatsword > Slime Greatsword > Quartz Greatsword > Necrotic Greatsword/Hexed Blade.
Ravenwing Greatsword
Ravenwing deals 150 Damage and has two particularly useful advantages: it charges faster and removes the normal movement penalty while attacking.
That mobility improvement shouldn’t be underestimated.
Heavy weapons are often dangerous because charging leaves you vulnerable or restricts repositioning. Ravenwing addresses that weakness while still delivering massive hits.
Slime Greatsword
Slime Greatsword deals 140 Damage and changes behavior depending on charge level.
A half charge launches a wave of slime.
A full charge summons a friendly slime.
That gives you much more flexibility than a Greatsword that only produces one giant melee attack.
Necrotic Greatsword and Hexed Blade
Both sit at 90 Damage, but their fully charged attacks launch waves of dark magic.
Hexed Blade adds random debuffs when that wave connects.
These aren’t the strongest choices based purely on late-game raw damage, but the ranged wave makes them considerably more versatile than their damage numbers initially suggest.
Best Swords in Necesse
If you prefer faster traditional melee combat, Swords provide a much more responsive alternative to Greatswords.
Gemstone Longsword
The combination of 90 Damage and 120 Range makes Gemstone Longsword my standout traditional sword.
Antique Sword
With 92 Damage and strong Knockback, Antique Sword is another excellent late-game choice.
The Perfect Storm
The Perfect Storm has 75 Damage and a slightly slower 2.9 Attack Speed, but its Interact ability instantly restores 40% of missing Mana and infuses the weapon with lightning.
That creates obvious value for builds where Mana management matters.
Venom Slasher
Venom Slasher has 65 Damage and fires a wave of venom, giving you additional reach compared with an ordinary sword.
Reinforced Katana
Reinforced Katana deserves special mention because it’s much more technical.
Holding Interact charges a dash that cuts through enemies.
Successfully landing the dash refreshes its cooldown and makes your next dash faster. The Reinforced version allows you to continue this chain for up to 15 dashes.
Missing gives you a three-second debuff, while reaching the full 15-dash chain results in a longer 10-second cooldown debuff.
Landing hits reduces accumulated dash stacks.
This makes Reinforced Katana extremely fun for an aggressive, mobility-focused playstyle, but its effectiveness depends much more on execution than something like Gemstone Longsword.
Best Spear in Necesse
Spears require more precision because they only hit at their tip.
That’s both their defining characteristic and the reason they won’t suit everyone.
Ravenbeak Spear
Ravenbeak Spear is my standout choice because its attacks aren’t limited to a basic thrust.
You attack alongside three aggressive feathers, and the Interact ability creates a flurry of feathers that repeatedly attacks the same area.
At 45 Damage, its raw number doesn’t look particularly impressive next to late-game Greatswords, but its additional attacks give it much more functionality.
Cryo Spear
Cryo Spear provides 35 Damage and releases a shard with every attack.
You still need to respect the tip-only hit mechanic, but the additional projectile improves its usefulness.
Tungsten Spear
Tungsten Spear is the stronger conventional option at 44 Damage, 2.5 Attack Speed, and 140 Range.
Best Glaive in Necesse
Glaives continuously swing around your character and hit enemies surrounding you.
That makes them particularly useful when you’re being pressured from several directions.
Slime Glaive
Slime Glaive provides:
60 Damage
2.5 Attack Speed
150 Knockback
200 Range
That enormous 200 Range gives it the best reach among the listed Glaives and makes it my preferred general option.
Cryo Glaive
Cryo Glaive has the same 60 Damage and 2.5 Attack Speed but 160 Range.
It’s still an excellent choice if available, but Slime Glaive’s additional coverage gives it the edge.
Best Boomerangs in Necesse
Boomerangs are technically melee-damage weapons despite being thrown.
They travel outward and then return, allowing melee-focused characters to fight from significantly safer distances.
Dragon’s Rebound
Dragon’s Rebound reaches 77 Damage with 650 Range.
It’s an excellent high-damage Boomerang and one of the strongest straightforward choices in the category.
Night Razor
Night Razor has slightly lower 70 Damage but compensates with useful mechanics.
It:
- Can be thrown.
- Stacks up to four.
- Homes in on enemies.
Homing immediately improves consistency, especially against moving enemies where manually landing every returning projectile becomes awkward.
Butcher’s Cleaver
Butcher’s Cleaver has 64 Damage and 700 Range, but the important feature is that it chains to nearby foes.
That makes it particularly useful against groups rather than exclusively focusing on one target.
Best Other Melee Weapons
This category contains some of the most interesting weapons because they’re not restricted by the normal rules of swords and spears.
Chef’s Special
Chef’s Special alternates between throwing two different weapons.
The cleaver chains between nearby enemies, while the rolling pin slows enemies on hit.
Every enemy you hit also increases your food buff duration by one second.
At 78 Damage and 800 Range, it’s effectively giving a melee build enormous reach alongside crowd utility.
Blood Claw
Blood Claw rewards aggressive positioning.
Normal attacks slice in front of you and generate a Power Charge for every enemy hit.
Interact then consumes all accumulated Power Charges—and some of your life—to unleash a devastating attack.
It’s powerful but requires more resource and health management than a straightforward weapon.
Anchor & Chain
Anchor & Chain deals 70 Damage and pulls targets toward you when it connects.
Close-range hits also deal additional damage.
This creates a natural gameplay loop where you drag enemies into your preferred melee distance and then punish them once they’re close.
Best Ranged Weapons in Necesse
Ranged builds have Bows, Greatbows, and Guns available, giving you everything from rapid projectile spam to enormous charged attacks and sniper-style long-range damage.
Best Bow – Antique Bow and The Crimson Sky
Antique Bow provides:
95 Damage
2.2 Attack Speed
240 Velocity
1,000 Range
It’s an exceptionally strong conventional Bow.
The Crimson Sky is close behind on raw damage at 90, but offers an enormous 1,600 Range and 350 Velocity.
If I wanted straightforward damage, I’d lean toward Antique Bow.
If keeping enemies far away and maintaining huge engagement distance matters more, The Crimson Sky becomes extremely attractive.
Ascended Bow – S Tier
Ascended Bow deserves S Tier for its unusual mechanics.
It deals 80 Damage and fires multiple projectiles simultaneously without consuming arrows.
You can also use the secondary input to switch between arrow and wave formations.
That gives you flexibility depending on enemy positioning while removing the normal concern of consuming arrows.
Glacial Bow
Glacial Bow fires a projectile that shatters toward nearby enemies on impact.
That makes it particularly good when enemies are grouped together.
Dryad Bow
Dryad Bow applies Dryad Haunted while attacking.
Smaller leaves also seek nearby affected enemies, and reaching 10 Dryad Haunted stacks summons a Dryad Spirit that temporarily immobilizes enemies.
It’s another strong choice if you value crowd control and utility over simply chasing the highest displayed Damage number.
Best Greatbow – Mycelium Greatbow
Mycelium Greatbow is the raw powerhouse of this category.
It reaches:
160 Damage
1.7 Attack Speed
425 Velocity
1,400 Range
That’s an outstanding combination for a charged ranged weapon.
Night Piercer
Night Piercer is another S-Tier Greatbow.
It provides 124 Damage, 500 Velocity, and 1,600 Range, while its shots explode on impact.
The explosive effect gives Night Piercer additional value against clustered enemies, while its extremely high projectile speed and range make it comfortable at long distances.
Tungsten Greatbow
Tungsten Greatbow provides 120 Damage and 1,200 Range.
It lacks Night Piercer’s explosion, but its raw stats remain excellent.
Slime Greatbow
Slime Greatbow deserves consideration for control-oriented builds.
Its charged shot calls slime down from above and heavily slows enemies.
Against dangerous targets where maintaining distance is more important than maximum DPS, that slow can be extremely valuable.
Best Guns in Necesse
Guns provide some of the game’s best long-distance options, but ammunition consumption becomes another factor to manage.
Antique Rifle – S Tier
Antique Rifle provides:
125 Damage
1.7 Attack Speed
650 Velocity
2,000 Range
Two thousand Range is exceptional.
For players who enjoy eliminating enemies from a huge distance, this is one of the most appealing firearms available.
It does require bullets, so ammunition management remains part of the build.
Sniper Rifle – S Tier
Sniper Rifle has the same 125 Damage, 1.7 Attack Speed, and 650 Velocity, with 1,600 Range.
It also comes with a sniper scope.
The Antique Rifle wins on maximum listed range, while Sniper Rifle offers the specialized scope functionality.
Hand Cannon
Hand Cannon also hits for 125 Damage, but at only 0.8 Attack Speed.
This is the definition of a heavy single-hit firearm.
Because Armor reduces damage per hit, a weapon concentrating its damage into enormous individual shots can have advantages against armored enemies compared with weapons relying on numerous small hits.
Machine Gun
Machine Gun deals only 16 Damage per shot but fires at 5 Attack Speed and has a 50% chance not to consume ammunition.
Against lightly armored targets, that rapid output can feel great.
Against significant Armor, however, remember that each smaller individual hit gets mitigated.
Death Ripper
Death Ripper has a very slow base Attack Speed of 0.5 but can charge to fire faster and has a 75% chance not to consume ammo.
It’s an interesting choice for players concerned about ammunition efficiency.
Best Magic Weapons in Necesse
Magic has arguably the widest variety of special effects.
You’re not simply comparing projectiles. You have beams, glyphs, bouncing attacks, poison, healing, homing missiles, controllable missiles, explosions, immobilization, and resource-management mechanics.
Ascended Staff – S Tier
Ascended Staff is one of the obvious late-game standouts.
It deals 130 Damage and allows you to channel a vertical beam of pure power.
Its combination of excellent raw damage and controllable channeling makes it an extremely powerful magical option.
The Soulstorm – S Tier
The Soulstorm has 133 Damage and revolves around building and consuming Souls.
Left Click creates a spirit beam that generates one Soul when you hit an enemy.
Right Click consumes your accumulated Souls to create a Soulstorm.
This gives you a build-and-spend combat loop rather than simply firing the same attack repeatedly.
Against situations where you can reliably generate Souls before unleashing the secondary ability, the weapon can become extremely threatening.
Shadow Beam – A Tier
Shadow Beam deals 68 Damage at a very fast 5 Attack Speed and fires an instant shadow beam across 1,000 Range.
The instant nature of the attack is particularly comfortable because you aren’t waiting for slow projectiles to reach moving enemies.
Cryo Quake – A Tier
Cryo Quake deals 80 Damage with 5 Attack Speed and creates a line of icicles.
That’s an excellent combination for players wanting rapid magical offense.
Emerald Wand – A Tier
Emerald Wand has only 45 listed Damage but an enormous 10 Attack Speed.
It fires a barrage of magic mines.
Again, this is exactly the type of weapon where enemy Armor should factor into your expectations because you’re generating many smaller hits.
Gemstone Staves Provide Excellent Team Utility
Sapphire, Emerald, Amethyst, Ruby, and Topaz Staves deserve special attention because they aren’t simply damage weapons.
They generate Life Essence, which can then be consumed through their Interact abilities to create glyphs.
Sapphire Staff
Projectiles ricochet between nearby enemies and generate Life Essence.
Spend one Life Essence to create a Sapphire Glyph that heals players and settlers standing inside when activated.
Emerald Staff
Its attack releases poisonous gas and generates Life Essence.
Its Emerald Glyph increases critical chance for players and settlers standing inside.
Amethyst Staff
It fires three rapid beams and generates Life Essence.
Its glyph provides a burst of movement speed.
Ruby Staff
Ruby Staff fires a slow but powerful explosive projectile.
Its Ruby Glyph increases attack speed.
Topaz Staff
Its projectiles bounce off walls and have a chance to generate Life Essence.
The Topaz Glyph provides Resilience.
These Staves can be particularly valuable when you care about utility instead of measuring every weapon purely through personal DPS.
Best Magic Books
Blood Grimoire
Blood Grimoire is one of the most interesting Books because it trades health for offensive power while giving you a way to heal through combat.
Its normal attack creates a ray of magic at the cost of life, but hitting opponents restores health.
Interact marks enemies, causing your ray to damage marked targets as well.
This creates a risk-reward playstyle where maintaining successful hits becomes extremely important.
Shadow Bolt
Shadow Bolt is the simpler high-damage option at 84 Damage and 3.3 Attack Speed, with 1,000 Range.
If you don’t want to manage Blood Grimoire’s health mechanics, Shadow Bolt provides excellent straightforward magical offense.
Chromatic Spellbook
Chromatic Spellbook fires a homing projectile that loops around and strikes targets for a second time.
The listed 52 Damage doesn’t tell the complete story because the projectile can connect multiple times.
Best Summoner Weapons in Necesse
Summoning builds need to be ranked slightly differently because the most important resource is often Summon Slots rather than Attack Speed.
Your default maximum is one Summon Slot, but Armor, Trinkets, and Potions can increase that limit.
This makes slot efficiency extremely important.
Crystallized Skull – S Tier
Crystallized Skull is the standout based on raw summon damage.
It deals 180 Damage and summons a mighty Ruby Dragon.
The drawback is that the summon occupies two Summon Slots.
That means you’ll need to increase your available slots before fully taking advantage of it.
Once your build can support the requirement, however, the raw damage makes it an obvious late-game contender.
Grizzbolt Sphere – A/B Tier
Grizzbolt Sphere has an interesting scaling mechanic.
It consumes all available Summon Slots, and its damage increases for every slot used.
That means its effectiveness is directly connected to how heavily you’ve invested into increasing your summon capacity.
I wouldn’t judge this weapon by its listed 20 Damage alone because its entire design revolves around slot scaling.
Sentient Sword
Sentient Sword summons flying swords that position themselves near a target and then attack in a line.
Each summon consumes two slots.
At 36 Damage, it’s considerably stronger than many basic summons, but that two-slot requirement needs to be included when comparing efficiency.
Skeleton Staff
Skeleton Staff has excellent slot efficiency.
It summons two Skeletons while consuming only one Summon Slot.
One specializes in long-range attacks while the other fights at close range.
For a limited-slot build, getting two differently functioning minions from one slot is extremely useful.
Eye of the Void
Eye of the Void summons a large robotic egg capable of attacking up to three enemies simultaneously.
That multi-target potential makes it much more attractive when dealing with groups.
Don’t Ignore Summons That Use No Summon Slots
This is one of the most important details for a dedicated summoner build.
Several summoning weapons don’t consume Summon Slots at all.
Because of that, they can be paired with your regular slot-consuming summons to provide additional damage.
These include:
Stabby Bush – Summons up to three Stabby Bushes.
Frost Piercer – Summons up to eight flying frost crystals.
Dryad Branch – Channel to maintain up to five Baby Dryads.
Slime Canister – Summons up to ten short-lived poison slimes.
Ruby Shields – Summons up to six gemstones capable of blocking non-piercing projectiles.
Reaper’s Call – Summons up to five flying spirits.
Necrotic Bow and Reanimation Bow also provide summoning effects without using your normal Summon Slots.
The important distinction is that these temporary summons disappear after attacking an opponent, with Dryad Branch functioning according to its channeling mechanic.
For summoners, this opens up hybrid combinations where your permanent Summon Slots remain occupied by your strongest main minions while no-slot weapons add extra temporary attackers.
Best No-Slot Summon – Reaper’s Call
Reaper’s Call stands out with 75 Damage and the ability to summon up to five flying spirits.
Because it doesn’t consume your normal Summon Slots, it’s an excellent complementary source of summon damage rather than something that competes with your primary summon.
That’s exactly what I’d look for when optimizing a summoner setup: maximize the value of your limited permanent slots, then layer no-slot summoning effects on top.
Throwing Weapons and Explosives
The Throwing category is relatively small.
Ninja Stars deal 20 Damage, while Ice Javelins deal 30.
Snowballs have zero listed Damage.
These are much more situational than the enormous late-game arsenal available in the primary weapon categories.
Explosives are similarly straightforward:
| Explosive | Damage |
|---|---|
| Tile Bomb | 60 |
| Iron Bomb | 60 |
| Dynamite Stick | 200 |
Dynamite Stick clearly provides the highest listed explosive damage at 200.
Explosives can damage mobs and objects, giving them additional environmental usefulness beyond conventional weapon comparisons.
Best Necesse Weapons by Category
If you don’t want to compare every single weapon, these are the options I’d keep an eye on from each category:
| Weapon Type | Top Choices |
|---|---|
| Sword | Gemstone Longsword, Antique Sword, The Perfect Storm |
| Greatsword | Glacial Greatsword, Ravenwing Greatsword, Slime Greatsword |
| Spear | Ravenbeak Spear, Tungsten Spear |
| Glaive | Slime Glaive, Cryo Glaive |
| Boomerang | Dragon’s Rebound, Night Razor, Butcher’s Cleaver |
| Other Melee | Void Claw, Dryad Greathammer, Chef’s Special |
| Bow | Antique Bow, The Crimson Sky, Ascended Bow |
| Greatbow | Mycelium Greatbow, Night Piercer, Tungsten Greatbow |
| Gun | Antique Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Hand Cannon |
| Staff | Ascended Staff, The Soulstorm, Shadow Beam, Cryo Quake |
| Book | Blood Grimoire, Shadow Bolt, Chromatic Spellbook |
| Summon | Crystallized Skull, Grizzbolt Sphere, Sentient Sword |
| No-Slot Summon | Reaper’s Call, Ruby Shields, Dryad Branch |
| Explosive | Dynamite Stick |
If I had to narrow the entire list down to a handful of weapons worth building around, Void Claw, Glacial Greatsword, Mycelium Greatbow, Ascended Bow, Antique Rifle, Ascended Staff, The Soulstorm, Dryad Greathammer, and Crystallized Skull are among the first options I’d investigate.
But there isn’t one weapon that automatically wins every situation.
Void Claw offers exceptional melee aggression and healing. Glacial Greatsword concentrates enormous damage into heavy strikes. Mycelium Greatbow provides tremendous ranged damage. Antique Rifle gives you extraordinary engagement range. Ascended Staff offers powerful magic, while Crystallized Skull becomes an obvious target for a developed summoner build capable of supporting its two-slot requirement.
More importantly, don’t judge a weapon exclusively by multiplying Damage by Attack Speed.
Necesse’s Armor mechanic makes that particularly misleading. Because Armor mitigates damage per hit, two weapons with similar theoretical DPS can perform differently against armored enemies. A rapid-fire weapon splitting its damage across numerous small attacks may lose considerably more effective damage to Armor than a slower weapon delivering huge individual hits.
Special mechanics further complicate comparisons. Homing improves consistency. Piercing and chaining increase performance against groups. Healing can keep an aggressive build alive. Slows and immobilization provide control that isn’t reflected in raw Damage. No-slot summons can add extra DPS without competing with your primary minions.
That’s why I recommend choosing a weapon around your actual build rather than simply taking the largest number in the table. A strong Necesse setup is the combination of your weapon, Armor, Trinkets, Potions, summon capacity, and the type of enemy you’re fighting.
Once all of those pieces support each other, that’s when a weapon goes from looking powerful on paper to actually feeling powerful in combat.
