Building a strong team in Manhwa Legends isn’t just about pulling the rarest unit—it’s about knowing which characters stay useful as you progress through Story Mode, Raids, Infinite Mode, and boss battles. Some units dominate with incredible area damage, others specialize in melting bosses, while support characters can completely transform your team’s performance.
To make things easier, we’ve ranked every major unit currently available in the release version of the game. While S-Tier units are the strongest overall, many A and B-Tier characters are still excellent choices when paired with the right team.
Below you’ll find every notable unit, what makes them good (or not), and the best traits to use with each one.
S-Tier DPS Units
These are the strongest damage dealers in the current meta and should be your highest priority if you’re looking to clear difficult content.
Secret Dreamer (Constellation)
Secret Dreamer is currently the strongest unit in Manhwa Legends thanks to its incredible full-area damage, clone summons, Shock stuns, and massive critical damage scaling through the Terror of the Stars passive. It performs exceptionally well against both large enemy waves and Raid bosses, making it the most complete DPS unit in the game. Best Traits: Legend or Limit Break.
Song Hwen (Vessel)
Song Hwen specializes in single-target damage and is widely considered the best boss killer in the game. If your goal is defeating powerful bosses as quickly as possible, few units can match his damage output. Best Traits: Legend or Boss Slayer.
White Wolf (Feral)
White Wolf rapidly builds Critical Chance during combat, eventually reaching nearly guaranteed critical hits. Those critical attacks also trigger powerful Bleed effects that further increase his overall damage, making him an excellent choice for almost every game mode. Best Traits: Limit Break, Assassin, or Legend.
Beast (Primal)
Beast is one of the strongest early-game carries and continues to perform extremely well even during late-game content. Thanks to consistent damage and reliable scaling, he’s a safe investment for both new and experienced players. Best Traits: Limit Break or Legend.
Beylord (Mimicry)
Beylord deals impressive pseudo-AOE damage through passive effects while also working well alongside other top-tier DPS units. His flexible kit allows him to contribute strong damage while supporting teammates in longer fights. Best Traits: Limit Break or Assassin.
A-Tier DPS Units
These characters remain extremely powerful but either require more investment or are slightly less versatile than S-Tier options.
Ha Yori (Princess)
Ha Yori specializes in stacking multiple damage-over-time effects that become increasingly deadly during extended fights. Once her passive is fully active, she can quickly shred bosses and high-health enemies. Best Trait: Boss Slayer.
Cherry (Dancer)
Cherry is an easy-to-use boss killer that performs consistently throughout both the early and late game. While she lacks the overwhelming damage of S-Tier units, her reliability makes her an excellent addition to many teams. Best Traits: Ruler or Assassin.
Ancient (Regressor)
Ancient becomes stronger the longer a match lasts thanks to his unique regression mechanic, allowing players to invest large amounts of Won for massive damage increases. He’s also essential for unlocking Secret Dreamer by farming Constellations through his skill tree, making him valuable beyond his own damage. Best Traits: Legend or Swiftness.
Querasha (Pestilence)
Querasha combines high boss damage with strong support utility, making her one of the game’s best hybrid characters. Her passive abilities excel against bosses while still providing valuable team support. Best Trait: Legend.
B-Tier DPS Units
These units can still perform well but generally require better team compositions or more investment to stay competitive.
Infernum (Phoenix)
Infernum focuses on Burn damage while simultaneously boosting other Fire-based teammates. Although highly dependent on your team composition, he becomes surprisingly effective in dedicated Fire builds. Best Trait: Limit Break.
Yuu (Boxer)
Yuu delivers respectable damage throughout the early and mid-game but begins falling behind in Infinite Mode and tougher end-game stages. He remains a solid option until stronger characters become available. Best Trait: Legend.
Jay (Hope)
Jay performs similarly to Yuu, offering dependable mid-game damage without reaching the same late-game ceiling as top-tier DPS units. He’s useful for progression but eventually gets replaced by stronger alternatives. Best Trait: Legend.
Kim Dakjo (Immortal King)
Kim Dakjo brings respectable damage while also offering one of the strongest utility skills in the game through his Time Stop ability, which stuns enemies across a wide area. His passive skill-copying mechanic makes him one of the most versatile characters available. Best Trait: Legend.
Coera Denoir (Noble)
Coera Denoir provides decent damage while also cleansing negative effects from teammates. Although her support utility is situational, she can be extremely helpful during specific encounters. Best Trait: Boss Slayer.
C-Tier DPS Units
These units currently struggle compared to the rest of the roster and generally aren’t recommended unless you’re playing for fun or collecting characters.
Pildo Gang (Landlord)
Pildo Gang relies on turret-based combat, which is entertaining but currently lacks the damage needed to compete with higher-ranked units. Best Trait: Limit Break, though investing heavily isn’t recommended.
Creator
Creator offers an interesting mechanic that duplicates buffs for teammates, but the character becomes awkward to use later in the game due to inconsistent scaling. While useful early on, there are much stronger options available as your roster grows. Best Trait: Swiftness.
S-Tier Support Units
These supports provide some of the strongest buffs, crowd control, and utility currently available.
Ha Yora (Idol)
Ha Yora boosts your primary damage dealers by placing Floating Nodes that increase team performance. Her skill tree also allows those buffs to gain additional effects, making her one of the most valuable long-term investments for support-focused players.
Kim Dakjo (Immortal King)
Kim Dakjo isn’t just a strong DPS—his powerful Time Stop ability freezes enemies across a large area while his passive skill-copying mechanics allow him to adapt to nearly any team composition.
Querasha (Pestilence)
Querasha functions as both a powerful support and boss killer, making her one of the few hybrid characters capable of excelling in multiple roles without sacrificing effectiveness.
Violet Grace (Revolution)
Violet Grace provides excellent support during boss encounters while also contributing respectable damage during the early stages of the game. Her balanced toolkit makes her useful throughout nearly every stage of progression. Best Traits: Legend or Limit Break.
Secret Dreamer (Constellation)
Even outside of raw damage, Secret Dreamer offers valuable crowd control through Shock stuns and clone summons, making this unit one of the strongest all-around choices for virtually every activity.
A/B-Tier Support Units
These supports perform well but usually require stronger teammates or specific strategies to reach their full potential.
Beylord (Mimicry)
Beylord supports allied DPS units through passive abilities while still dealing respectable damage himself, making him particularly effective alongside Beast and other high-damage characters. Best Traits: Limit Break or Assassin.
Coera Denoir (Noble)
Coera Denoir contributes useful debuff cleansing alongside moderate damage, making her a niche but occasionally valuable support choice. Best Trait: Boss Slayer.
Infernum (Phoenix)
Infernum strengthens Fire-based teams by increasing Burn damage while contributing his own offensive pressure, making him an excellent specialist support for elemental compositions. Best Trait: Limit Break.
Andrassa
Andrassa is a beginner-friendly character that combines solid early-game damage with powerful area-of-effect range and damage buffs, helping your entire team perform better.
Kyrogias Radgroim
Kyrogias Radgroim is a dependable early-game support that helps newer players clear story content while building stronger late-game teams.
Akryoung
Akryoung provides reliable support during the early stages of progression and serves as a solid placeholder until higher-tier support units become available.
Best Farming Units
Efficient farming becomes increasingly important as you progress through Manhwa Legends, and these units make resource collection much easier.
Loid (Master)
Loid is currently one of the strongest economy-focused characters in the game, allowing players to earn resources more efficiently during long farming sessions. Best Trait: Hustler.
Mint
Mint offers another excellent farming option by improving your overall resource generation, making her a valuable addition when focusing on progression rather than combat. Best Trait: Hustler.
Best Beginner Units
If you’re just starting Manhwa Legends, these characters provide the smoothest progression through the early game:
- Jong Youngha
- Kuma
- Wraithsinker
- Lee-Joh
They’re easy to use, perform well without heavy investment, and can comfortably carry you until you unlock stronger Legendary and Mythic units.
The current release meta is led by Secret Dreamer (Constellation), who stands out as the strongest all-around unit thanks to incredible AoE damage, clone summons, crowd control, and excellent Raid performance. Song Hwen (Vessel) remains the undisputed boss killer, while White Wolf, Beast, and Beylord round out the top-tier damage dealers with consistent performance across nearly every game mode.
On the support side, Ha Yora, Kim Dakjo, Querasha, and Violet Grace provide outstanding utility that can significantly improve your team’s overall effectiveness. Even though several B-Tier units remain viable in specialized teams, investing your resources into S and A-Tier characters will give you the smoothest progression and the strongest end-game lineup.
