Fisch Lullaby Mastery Guide – Quest, Fish, True Ascension

The latest Fisch update introduced several new features, but the biggest addition is undoubtedly the Lullaby Mastery. While other masteries, such as the Castbound Mastery, are fairly straightforward and clearly explain what you need to do, the Lullaby Mastery is completely different.

Instead of giving you direct objectives, every mastery is presented as a riddle. You’ll need to figure out the correct fish, mutations, locations, and conditions required to complete each objective. That can be confusing if you’re trying to solve everything on your own.

Fisch Lullaby Mastery Guide – All Quests, Fish, True Ascension

This guide covers every step needed to complete the Lullaby Mastery, unlock the exclusive rewards, and earn the brand-new Lullaby variant. Every requirement mentioned here is based on the in-game mastery objectives shown in the update.

Forever in Harmony

The first mastery is called Forever in Harmony, and while the objective sounds simple, it can be surprisingly difficult if you’re playing alone.

The Lullaby Rod has five different variants that you unlock while progressing through its original questline. These five variants are separate from the sixth variant that becomes available after completing the mastery.

Each time you equip one of these variants and successfully hit the metronome during fishing, you receive a unique buff. For example, using the green variant and successfully timing the metronome grants the Fortuitous buff.

To complete this mastery, you must have all five different buffs active at the same time for a total of three minutes.

Trying to do this by yourself can be frustrating because you’ll constantly need to switch between variants while keeping every buff active before the previous ones expire.

The easiest solution is to complete it with other players. If you’re joining servers shortly after the update, there’s a good chance you’ll find groups working on this mastery together. Each player can focus on one specific variant, allowing everyone in the server to maintain all five buffs much more easily.

Although this objective requires teamwork for most players, completing it rewards you with two cosmetic items.

Forever in Harmony Rewards

Completing the first mastery unlocks:

  • Rainbow Halo
  • Moon Bobber

The Rainbow Halo features a colorful rainbow with a moon sitting above it, making it one of the more unique cosmetic rewards added in this update.

The Moon Bobber is exactly what its name suggests. Your fishing bobber becomes a miniature moon, matching the theme of the halo and the Lullaby rod.

While both rewards look nice, the halo is easily the standout cosmetic from this mastery.

The Climb

The second mastery is called The Climb, and this is where things start becoming confusing.

There are currently two different methods that players have successfully used to complete this objective. Because of this, it isn’t entirely clear why one method works for some players while another works for others.

If the first method doesn’t register your progress, simply switch to the second one.

Method One

Start by using your Traveler’s Whistle and travel to Abyssal Zenith.

Before you begin fishing, you must activate a Starfall Totem. This is a required condition for the mastery.

After activating Starfall, equip your Lullaby Rod and begin fishing.

Your objective is to perform 20 perfect catches of fish with the Prismatic mutation.

A perfect catch has two separate requirements:

  • Keep the control bar perfectly inside the catch zone.
  • Successfully hit every metronome prompt during the catch.

Missing either one means the catch won’t count toward the mastery.

Repeat this process until you’ve successfully completed 20 perfect Prismatic catches while Starfall remains active.

Method Two

Some players discovered that the first method never recorded any progress.

Instead, they had to catch Rainbow mutations rather than Prismatic ones.

Others also reported that Abyssal Zenith didn’t work at all, forcing them to complete the objective inside Above the Clouds instead.

To reach Above the Clouds, travel to Castaway, climb to the highest point of the island, and head behind the Red Marlins Faction building. There you’ll find the floating rings used for the traversal minigame.

If you’ve already completed the Above the Clouds bestiary, the location is permanently added to your Traveler’s Whistle, allowing you to teleport there directly instead of repeating the ring course.

If the Abyssal Zenith method doesn’t work, try the following instead:

  • Activate Starfall.
  • Fish in Above the Clouds.
  • Catch 20 Rainbow fish while performing perfect catches.

One of these two methods should complete The Climb mastery.

Before moving on, remember the important requirements:

  • Starfall Totem must be active.
  • Test both Prismatic and Rainbow mutations if needed.
  • If Abyssal Zenith doesn’t work, try Above the Clouds.
  • Complete 20 successful perfect catches.

The Collection

The third mastery is called The Collection, and it’s easily one of the longest objectives in the entire mastery.

Unlike the previous mastery, the fish can be collected in any order. You aren’t forced to follow a specific route.

In total, you’ll need to collect six different fish, each with a specific mutation.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended to perform perfect catches on these fish. While not every fish appears to require a perfect catch, some players have reported inconsistent progress, so catching them perfectly is the safest approach.

The only exception is one fish later in the list, which is so difficult that attempting a perfect catch isn’t really necessary.

Fish 1 – Harmonic Dove

Travel to Above the Clouds and catch a Prismatic Harmonic Dove.

Preferred bait:

  • Worm

This is generally the easiest fish on the collection list, making it a good place to start.

Fish 2 – Ancient Depth Serpent

The second fish required for The Collection is a Prismatic Ancient Depth Serpent.

Head over to The Depths and wait until Absolute Darkness is active. This condition is required for the Ancient Depth Serpent to appear, so don’t waste time fishing if the event isn’t active yet.

Once the conditions are correct, equip your Lullaby Rod and catch a Prismatic Ancient Depth Serpent. As with the previous fish, it’s recommended to make this a perfect catch whenever possible to avoid any issues with mastery progress.

Preferred Bait

  • Truffle Worm

Fish 3 – Voidglow Ghostfish

Next, travel to Abyssal Zenith.

If you completed The Climb mastery here earlier, there’s a good chance you’ll already be familiar with this location.

Your objective is to catch a Rainbow Voidglow Ghostfish.

The Voidglow Ghostfish is a Legendary fish in this area, so don’t expect to catch it immediately. Be prepared to spend some time fishing before it appears.

Again, if possible, try to perform a perfect catch.

Preferred Bait

  • Squid

Fish 4 – Ancient Kraken

The fourth fish is probably where many players will spend the most time.

Travel to the Kraken area.

If you haven’t visited recently, keep in mind that the entrance has changed. Previously, players entered through the old Kraken location, but after the Wrath of Olympus update, you’ll now find the Kraken entrance beside the large spinning whirlpool.

Enter the Kraken area and begin fishing for a Rainbow Ancient Kraken.

Unlike the previous fish, this is the one catch where you do not need to worry about getting a perfect catch.

The difficult part isn’t catching the Kraken itself—it’s actually hooking a Rainbow version. According to the creator, this was easily the longest and most frustrating part of the entire mastery because the Rainbow mutation simply refused to appear.

If you’re lucky enough to hook one, don’t stress about making it perfect. Simply landing the Rainbow Ancient Kraken is enough.

Preferred Bait

  • Shark Head

Fish 5 – Mythic Fish

The final two fish can both be caught in the regular Ocean.

The first one you’ll need is a Prismatic Mythic Fish.

There’s no specific route required here, so you can fish wherever you’re most comfortable in the ocean.

Even though Mythic Fish are already uncommon, you’ll also need the Prismatic mutation, making this one of the rarer catches in the collection.

Preferred Bait

  • Flakes
  • Super Flakes

Fish 6 – Angler Fish

The final fish required for The Collection is a Rainbow Angler Fish.

This is another objective that can take a while because not only do you need the fish itself, but you also need it with the correct mutation.

The Angler Fish prefers appearing during the Night, so fishing at the correct time will improve your chances.

Preferred Bait

  • Squid

Angler Fish Totem

There is one trick that can make this objective much easier, but only a small number of players have access to it.

During the earlier Noise Form update, some players received a special Angler Fish Totem. This totem was distributed for a limited time, meaning most players never obtained one.

If you happen to join a server where someone owns and activates this totem, catching the Rainbow Angler Fish becomes significantly easier. During the creator’s livestream, nearly everyone in the server was able to complete this objective thanks to a player using the totem.

Unfortunately, since the totem is no longer obtainable, this method is only available if another player already owns one.

Completing The Collection

Once you’ve successfully collected all six required fish, you’ll complete The Collection mastery.

To recap, you’ll need:

  • Prismatic Harmonic Dove
  • Prismatic Ancient Depth Serpent
  • Rainbow Voidglow Ghostfish
  • Rainbow Ancient Kraken
  • Prismatic Mythic Fish
  • Rainbow Angler Fish

Whenever possible, perform perfect catches for these fish. The only exception is the Rainbow Ancient Kraken, which is already difficult enough to obtain without worrying about landing a perfect catch.

After finishing this mastery, the only challenge remaining is the final mastery, True Ascension.

Before moving on, it’s worth mentioning that the rewards from The Climb and The Collection aren’t cosmetic items. Instead, they unlock improvements and enhancements for the Lullaby Rod, which you’ll be able to view directly inside the mastery menu after completing each objective.

True Ascension

After completing The Collection, only one mastery remains—True Ascension.

This final challenge unlocks the exclusive Lullaby rewards, but before you can claim them, you’ll need to return to Above the Clouds one last time.

If you’ve reached the correct location, you’ll eventually notice a portal area. However, this portal does not appear automatically. It only becomes available after you’ve completed the previous mastery requirements.

Opening the Portal

To summon the portal, take out each of the six fish you collected for The Collection mastery.

One by one, equip each fish from your inventory and click to place or drop it beside you. Repeat this process for all six required fish.

Once the final fish has been offered, the portal will immediately appear.

As soon as it opens, jump inside to begin the final part of the mastery.

Heaven Area

Entering the portal teleports you to a brand-new location called Heaven.

The area has a similar appearance to the Zeus-themed region, but instead of fishing, your goal here is simply to reach the top.

You can complete the climb normally by parkouring across the platforms, or you can use a Velocity Coil if you want to make the climb much faster.

After reaching the highest platform, a short cutscene plays.

During the scene, your Lullaby Rod disappears before the game announces that True Ascension Mastery has been completed.

At this point, you’ve officially finished every Lullaby Mastery challenge.

True Ascension Rewards

Completing the final mastery unlocks two exclusive rewards.

The first reward is a brand-new Lullaby Variant, known as Sereneheim.

Alongside the variant, you’ll also receive the Serenity Skin for the Lullaby Rod.

The Serenity Skin has a clean, hand-drawn appearance that perfectly matches the peaceful theme of the rod. Rather than relying on flashy effects, it focuses on a simple and elegant design, making it stand out in a different way.

The Sereneheim variant also provides the following bonuses:

  • 10% Serene Mutation Chance
  • +45% Resilience

While these bonuses aren’t game-changing, they offer a nice improvement and serve as a fitting reward for completing one of the game’s longest mastery challenges.

King Crab Hunt

The update also introduced a brand-new King Crab Hunt.

To begin the event, look for what appears to be a small island floating in the ocean. At first glance, it doesn’t look unusual, but it’s actually the King Crab hiding beneath the surface.

Walk onto the shell to agitate it.

Once disturbed, the King Crab wakes up and immediately begins moving across the ocean.

From this point onward, you’ll need to follow it while fishing inside its moving fishing zone.

Keep in mind that the King Crab moves surprisingly fast and travels over a large area, so you’ll need to keep up with it if you don’t want to lose the event.

As it travels, it also drops Sunshells behind it, making it worth following even while you’re waiting for another fishing opportunity.

King Crab Minigame

Hooking the King Crab starts a unique fishing minigame.

Instead of fighting only the normal control bar, giant crab claws occasionally appear and pull your catch bar in different directions.

Sometimes the claw pulls from the right, while other times it comes from the left. Since the direction changes randomly, you’ll need to react quickly to keep the catch bar under control.

Successfully completing the minigame adds the King Crab to your collection.

King Crab Preferences

If you’re planning to farm the King Crab, keep these preferences in mind.

Preferred Cycle

  • Day

Preferred Baits

  • Icy Fish
  • Tropical Fruit Mix
  • Cotton Candy Pieces

Fishing during the preferred time while using one of these baits will give you the best chance of catching it.

The Lullaby Mastery is easily one of the most involved mastery systems added to Fisch so far. Unlike traditional masteries that simply tell you what to catch, this one asks players to solve riddles, collect specific mutations, complete special objectives, and finish a unique ascension challenge before earning its final rewards.

Some objectives, particularly Forever in Harmony, The Collection, and the Rainbow Ancient Kraken, can take quite a bit of time, but completing every mastery unlocks the exclusive Sereneheim Variant and Serenity Skin, making the entire journey worthwhile for players looking to fully master the Lullaby Rod.

If you’re working through the mastery for the first time, take each objective one at a time, double-check the required mutations and locations, and don’t be afraid to team up with other players for the more difficult challenges. It will save you a lot of time, especially during the first mastery where cooperation makes the objective much easier to complete.
