If you are trying to unlock every collectible in Dead As Disco, there is a good chance you already noticed how easy some of these are to miss. A few are sitting in plain sight while others are hidden during boss fights where the camera barely lets you see what is going on.
This guide covers all currently available main story collectibles along with the requirements needed for them to actually spawn. A lot of players miss those requirements and think their game is bugged, so make sure you check those first before replaying stages over and over.
Dead As Disco Collectibles Guide & Walkthrough Tips
If a collectible is not appearing for you, make sure you have done these first:
- Finished the Idol’s stage
- Talked to the Idol in the Encore until dialogue repeats
- Collected previous collectibles in their quest chain
A bunch of items stay locked until you fully progress earlier conversations and collectibles.
Dex Collectibles
Pocket Reactor Core
This one is very easy to grab once you know where to look.
Replay Dex’s stage and right near the beginning you will see the Pocket Reactor Core sitting to the right of Dex.
Song Notes
You can find these inside the Encore.
Start near Stix, head downstairs, then immediately take a right into the hallway. Keep going down the hall and you will spot the notes hidden behind some boxes.
Honestly pretty easy to miss unless you check that corner carefully.
Guitar Soldiers Magazine
Found during the pyramid fight section in Dex’s stage.
As soon as the fight starts, check the right corner of the area and you should see it there.
Prophet Collectibles
D.E.D Tagging Photo
Found during the first section of Prophet’s stage.
Look on top of one of the cars near the starting area. It technically looks out of bounds, but if you walk close enough to it, you can still pick it up.
This one confused a lot of people because it looks unreachable at first.
Wish by Onimaru
Eventually Prophet asks you to play new music on the jukebox.
To unlock this:
- Complete the challenge in Infinite Disco
- Unlock the song
- Play it on the jukebox
After doing that, the collectible progression continues.
Poster of Young Stix
Found during the Bouncer fight in Prophet’s stage.
Check along the walls during the fight and you should spot it there.
Hemlock Collectibles
Power Juice Ad
Found right after the train section in Hemlock’s stage.
It is attached to the side of a vending machine.
The camera angle during this section honestly makes it harder to spot than it should be.
Spray Cans
Located in the first section of Prophet’s stage near the back area.
It is also close to the D.E.D tagging photo collectible, so you can grab both during the same run.
Double Trouble Challenge
This collectible chain requires completing the Double Trouble challenge in Infinite Disco.
It can definitely be rough the first few tries.
The easiest strategy is honestly:
- Focus one enemy first
- Use takedowns constantly
- Use Prophet’s skill whenever possible
Once one target goes down, the challenge becomes way more manageable.
Aurora Collectibles
Bonsai Tree
Found in Prophet’s stage immediately after the Bouncer fight.
Check the upper left side of the arena and you should find it there.
Business World Magazine
This one blends into the environment really badly.
Location:
- Train tunnel section during Hemlock’s stage
- Leaning against the left wall
A lot of players miss it because it visually matches the tunnel walls almost perfectly. Honestly sometimes just walking against the wall is easier than trying to actually see it.
Photo of Rori & Her Best Friend
Found during Aurora’s Abyss section.
Go to the top right side of the area and look on the back of a crouching mannequin.
Definitely one of the easier collectibles to walk past accidentally.
A lot of Dead As Disco collectibles are less about solving puzzles and more about simply knowing where the game decided to hide things.
The hardest part honestly ends up being:
- Camera angles during boss fights
- Collectibles blending into the environment
- Unlock requirements tied to Encore dialogue
If you are trying to 100% the game, make sure you keep talking to every Idol after finishing their stages because several collectibles simply will not appear otherwise.
