Broken Blade Beginner Guide – Trello, & Wiki Link, Builds

Broken Blade throws a lot of systems at new players almost immediately. Between weapons, races, elements, blessings, materials, runes, raid bosses, upgrades, accessories, and progression quests, it is very easy to waste resources or spend hours farming the wrong things.

When I first started playing, the biggest mistake I noticed many players making was focusing entirely on levels while ignoring the systems that actually provide most of your damage. In Broken Blade, your weapon, race, elements, armor, and upgrades matter just as much as your level, sometimes even more.

This guide covers everything a new player should know, from the first few minutes all the way into late-game progression.

Broken Blade Beginner Guide – Trello, & Wiki Link, Builds

The first thing every new player should do is redeem available codes.

Open the Settings menu, scroll down to the code section, and redeem:

  • BB1KLIKES
  • BB5KLIKES
  • BBDC5K

These rewards provide useful resources that can speed up your early progression. Even if you have only been playing for a few minutes, claiming these codes is worth doing immediately.

Fire Seeds and Altars

One of the easiest beginner mistakes is ignoring Fire Seeds.

As you travel around the world, you’ll find mystery rewards and various locations that provide Fire Seeds. Many players collect them without understanding their purpose.

Fire Seeds are used to activate altars scattered throughout the map.

Once activated, these altars provide permanent stat boosts such as:

  • Additional health
  • Sword damage increases
  • Other useful combat bonuses

The boosts may seem small individually, but after activating multiple altars, the bonuses start adding up significantly.

Whenever you unlock a new area, spend a few minutes exploring and collecting every Fire Seed you can find.

Early Progression Route

For brand-new players, progression should look something like this:

  1. Redeem all active codes.
  2. Collect mystery rewards.
  3. Gather Fire Seeds.
  4. Activate altars.
  5. Complete story and island quests.
  6. Craft your first strong weapon.
  7. Begin farming materials.
  8. Start working on races, elements, and blessings.

Many players rush directly into boss farming and end up struggling because they skipped important progression systems.

The Best Early-Game Weapon

Light Scar

If there is one weapon beginners should prioritize above everything else, it is Light Scar.

Light Scar is considered the strongest early-game weapon currently available.

Compared to weapons such as Soul Devourer and Night Whisperer, Light Scar provides much better performance and smoother progression.

Crafting and fully upgrading it requires roughly 665 materials along with additional crafting resources.

While the material cost may seem expensive early on, the investment is completely worth it because Light Scar can carry you through a large portion of the game.

I would strongly recommend building Light Scar before investing heavily into other beginner weapons.

The Best End-Game Weapons

Once you move into late-game content, two weapons dominate the meta.

Dragon Slayer

Dragon Slayer is considered the highest DPS weapon in the game.

Its strength comes from consistent damage output, making it excellent for:

  • AFK farming
  • Boss grinding
  • Long combat encounters
  • Material farming

The total cost to craft and fully max Dragon Slayer is approximately 3,360 materials.

For players focused purely on efficiency and damage per second, Dragon Slayer is usually the preferred choice.

Moon Core

Moon Core competes directly with Dragon Slayer.

While Dragon Slayer wins in overall DPS, Moon Core is known for having stronger abilities and skill damage.

Players who enjoy active combat and ability-focused gameplay often prefer Moon Core.

The total cost to craft and fully upgrade Moon Core is approximately 3,200 materials.

Neither choice is wrong. Dragon Slayer offers higher sustained damage, while Moon Core provides stronger move-based damage.

Weapon Material Builds

The materials you place into weapons matter a lot.

Moon Core Materials

The most popular setup is:

  • 3 Thunder
  • 1 Frost

This setup provides a strong balance between damage and overall effectiveness.

Dragon Slayer Materials

Most players use:

  • 2 Thunder
  • 2 Storm

Some experienced players report that a full Storm setup can produce even higher damage, but it is considerably harder to obtain.

For most players, the 2 Thunder and 2 Storm combination remains the safest option.

Moon Pieces

Moon Pieces are one of the most valuable progression materials in the game.

These pieces are obtained through Raid Bosses.

To start a Raid Boss, you must use Boss Keys at the Coliseum.

Higher difficulties generally provide:

  • Better rewards
  • More Moon Pieces
  • Greater farming efficiency

If your goal is crafting late-game gear, farming Moon Pieces should become a major priority.

Sacrifice Pieces

Sacrifice Pieces come from Event Bosses.

The current event boss drops these materials, and higher difficulty settings increase your chances of receiving them.

Many end-game crafting recipes eventually require these pieces, making event farming extremely important.

Whenever an event is active, try not to ignore it.

Races

Races provide some of the strongest permanent bonuses in the game.

Based on current information, the strongest race available is:

Asura

Asura provides incredible offensive bonuses and remains the most desirable race for end-game players.

If you are spending Race Rerolls, Asura should be your ultimate goal.

Elements

Elements are another massive source of power.

The perfect setup is obtaining all six elements, but this is extremely rare.

Most experienced players consider five elements to be more than enough.

The recommended combination includes:

  • Thunder
  • Fire
  • Water
  • Wind
  • Earth

Life is generally considered the weakest element and is usually the one players are willing to replace.

Blessings

Blessings provide another layer of character power.

According to current community opinion, the strongest blessing is:

Arden

If you obtain Arden, it is generally worth keeping.

Many players spend large numbers of Bless Rerolls trying to get it.

Farming Rerolls

Race Rerolls, Element Rerolls, and Bless Rerolls are mainly obtained through boss farming.

The stronger bosses typically provide better rewards.

Because of this, players who consistently farm raid content tend to progress much faster than players who focus only on regular enemies.

Boss farming becomes one of the most important long-term activities in Broken Blade.

Mastery Progression

One system many players ignore is mastery progression.

Every island contains various mastery quests.

These include progression for:

  • Z Skills
  • X Skills
  • C Skills
  • Sword Mastery

Completing these quests increases your overall combat effectiveness and unlocks additional progression.

Whenever you reach a new island, look for Sword Masters and mastery-related NPCs before moving on.

Skipping mastery quests can slow your progress considerably.

Armor Progression

Weapons are important, but armor matters just as much.

Berserker Armor

Currently, Berserker Armor is widely regarded as the strongest armor set available.

If you’re unsure what armor to pursue, Berserker is usually the safest long-term goal.

The stat boosts it provides can dramatically improve overall performance.

Accessories

Accessories are another progression system many players forget exists.

Every accessory slot represents free stats.

Always check your inventory and equip your strongest accessories.

Even small accessory upgrades can make a noticeable difference during boss fights and farming sessions.

Weapon Upgrading

A common mistake is upgrading weak weapons.

I generally recommend waiting until you have Light Scar or a stronger weapon before investing heavily into upgrades.

Upgrading low-tier weapons often wastes resources that could have been used on equipment you’ll keep much longer.

Titles

Titles provide valuable bonuses and should never be ignored.

Mad Dog

Mad Dog is currently considered one of the strongest titles for damage-focused players.

Many players forget to equip titles entirely, leaving free stats unused.

Whenever you unlock a new title, compare its bonuses and equip the strongest one available.

Legendary Materials

Legendary materials significantly improve weapon quality.

The best ways to obtain them include:

  • Mythical Chests
  • Event rewards
  • Raid Bosses
  • Trading

Higher-quality materials translate directly into stronger weapons.

Never underestimate the difference between ordinary materials and legendary materials.

Legendary Material Rankings

For pure effectiveness, most players rank legendary materials like this:

S Tier

  • Thunder

A Tier

  • Frost
  • Storm

B Tier

  • Barrage

Thunder remains the most desirable material for maximizing damage.

Boss Keys

Boss Keys are required for summoning raid bosses.

The best ways to obtain them are:

  • Mythical Chests
  • Trading

Many high-level players continuously farm Mythical Chests specifically for Boss Keys.

Without a steady supply of keys, raid farming becomes much slower.

Luck Explained

Luck is often misunderstood.

Luck only affects boss drops.

It does not improve:

  • Quest rewards
  • Experience rewards
  • General progression rewards

Instead, Luck increases your chances of receiving valuable drops from bosses.

If you’re farming bosses regularly, Luck becomes much more valuable.

AFK Farming

For players who leave the game running while farming:

Dragon Slayer

Dragon Slayer is currently considered the best AFK farming weapon.

Its high DPS allows it to clear enemies efficiently without requiring constant player input.

This makes it ideal for long grinding sessions.

Rune Selection

Runes provide another layer of power.

Shadow Clone

Shadow Clone is widely considered the strongest rune currently available.

If you obtain one, it should be equipped immediately.

Many end-game players continue using Shadow Clone because of how effective it remains throughout progression.

Maximum Level

The current level cap sits at approximately:

Level 150,000

Reaching that level requires an enormous amount of grinding, but understanding all the systems above will dramatically speed up the process.
