Black Desert Mobile Transcendent Classes Guide – Skill Sigil

The Transcendent Classes update completely changes how characters are built in Black Desert Mobile. If you’ve logged in after the update and noticed your skill setup is gone, don’t worry—that’s completely normal.

Every class received a fresh start with the new system, introducing Skills Assignment, Weapon Selection, and Skill Sigils. While it may look complicated at first, the overall process is actually straightforward once you know where everything is.

This guide explains how to set up your skills, craft Skill Sigils, and start strengthening your character.

Black Desert Mobile Transcendent Classes Guide

The biggest change is that Awakened and Ascended classes have now been unified into the new Transcendent Class system.

As part of this overhaul:

  • Your previous skill setup is reset.
  • You must assign your skills again.
  • Every skill can now use Skill Sigils.
  • You can customize builds more than ever before.

Although rebuilding your character may seem like extra work, it also gives you much more freedom to tailor your class to your preferred playstyle.

How to Assign Skills

When you first open the Skills menu after updating, you’ll notice that none of your skills are equipped.

You have two options.

Assign Skills Manually

If you’re already familiar with your class, you can manually choose every skill you want to use.

This gives you complete control over your build and lets you experiment with different combinations.

Use Auto Equip

If you’re returning after a long break or simply don’t know where to begin, the easiest solution is pressing Auto Equip.

The game automatically creates a recommended skill setup, allowing you to jump back into combat immediately.

While experienced players may eventually optimize their builds further, Auto Equip provides an excellent starting point.

Import Builds from Other Players

One of the best quality-of-life features added with the update is the ability to copy builds from other players.

Instead of testing every skill yourself, you can search for Skills Assignments shared by experienced adventurers and import them directly onto your character.

This makes trying popular builds incredibly simple, especially if you’re playing a class for the first time.

Choosing Your Weapon

Another important part of the new system is Weapon Selection.

Each Transcendent class has access to two different weapon styles.

Each weapon changes:

  • Available skills
  • Combat abilities
  • Overall playstyle

Neither option is universally better than the other.

Some players may prefer one weapon for PvE farming, while others may choose the second weapon for PvP or boss fights.

Take some time to experiment and see which one feels more comfortable.

What Are Skill Sigils?

Once your skills are equipped, it’s time to strengthen them using Skill Sigils.

Think of Skill Sigils as another layer of character progression.

Instead of only improving your equipment, you can now enhance your individual skills with additional bonuses.

Every assigned skill can equip up to four Skill Sigils, allowing for much deeper customization than before.

How to Craft Skill Sigils

To craft Skill Sigils, open:

Menu → Craft → Material → Craft Material → Skill Sigil

From there you’ll be able to craft different types of Sigils depending on the materials you own.

Start with Abyssal Skill Sigils

For most players, Abyssal Skill Sigils are the best place to begin.

Crafting one requires:

  • Skill Sigil Fragments
  • Dimensional Fragments

Since these materials are much easier to obtain than higher-tier alternatives, Abyssal Sigils provide an affordable way to start improving your build.

Later on, you can gradually replace them with stronger versions.

How to Get Skill Sigil Fragments

There are several ways to obtain Skill Sigil Fragments.

Hunt in Fervor Areas

If your character has 60,000 Combat Power or higher, you can earn Skill Sigil Fragments as hunting drops in areas that consume Adventuring Fervor.

This will likely become the primary farming method for most players.

Complete Game Content

Many game modes also reward Skill Sigils or the materials needed to craft them.

Some activities can even reward:

  • Primal Skill Sigils
  • Chaos Skill Sigils

These are much rarer but save you from crafting lower-tier versions yourself.

Convert Duplicate Skill Sigils

Eventually you’ll begin collecting duplicate Skill Sigils that your build doesn’t need.

Instead of storing them forever, you can feed them to your Black Spirit using the Dark Energy system.

Doing so converts unused Sigils into additional Skill Sigil Fragments, helping you craft more useful ones later.

It’s a great way to recycle unwanted drops without wasting resources.

Which Skill Sigils Should You Craft First?

A good progression path is:

  1. Craft Branch Skill Sigils.
  2. Fill your skills with Branch Sigils.
  3. Upgrade to Abyssal Skill Sigils.
  4. Eventually replace them with Primal and Chaos versions.

Trying to chase perfect endgame Sigils immediately usually isn’t necessary.

Building a complete set first provides much better overall progression.

Open Unidentified Skill Sigils

Whenever you receive Unidentified Skill Sigils or Branch Skill Sigils, use them from your inventory.

Opening them reveals their effects, allowing you to decide whether they fit your current build.

If they don’t, they can always be converted into fragments later.

Auto Equip Skill Sigils

Once you’ve collected several Skill Sigils, you don’t have to equip each one manually.

Simply press Auto Equip, and the game will automatically assign your best available Sigils to your currently equipped skills.

This makes setting up a new character much faster.

Import Skill Sigils with Shared Builds

If you’re importing another player’s Skills Assignment, don’t forget to enable:

Import Skill Sigil Settings

With this option enabled, the game automatically equips matching Skill Sigils from your own collection whenever possible.

It’s a small feature that saves a surprising amount of time.

Beginner Tips

If you’re just starting with the Transcendent system, keep these tips in mind:

  • Use Auto Equip if you’re unsure which skills to choose.
  • Try different weapon styles before committing to one.
  • Farm Skill Sigil Fragments regularly.
  • Fill every skill with Sigils instead of waiting for perfect ones.
  • Recycle duplicate Sigils through the Black Spirit.
  • Import builds from experienced players to learn stronger skill combinations.

The Transcendent Classes update adds much more depth to Black Desert Mobile, but it doesn’t have to be intimidating. Start by assigning your skills, experiment with your preferred weapon, and gradually build your collection of Skill Sigils instead of worrying about perfect optimization right away.

Once you’ve equipped your skills, crafted your first Abyssal Sigils, and started importing proven builds from experienced players, the new progression system becomes much easier to understand. From there, it’s simply a matter of upgrading your Sigils over time and refining your build as you continue your adventure.
