1. Place of Awakening Bell
After arriving in Village of Lu, activate the Place of Awakening Bell. This is your starting point for exploring the region.
Head toward the bridge and look for an item on the left side of the path. Pick it up to obtain Bai Chilian’s Notes. Collecting this document unlocks the Illusory Pipa.
Before leaving the starting area, look around the nearby shop and cliffside for a couple of easy collectibles.
2. Jewel’s Knot
Find Jewel’s shop and open the chest behind her to obtain Jewel’s Knot, an accessory.
This is a quick reward to collect early, so make sure you check behind the shop before heading toward the village crossroads.
3. Tainted Crystal Shard
Look toward the cliff behind Jewel’s shop. You can collect a Tainted Crystal Shard in this area.
Inspect the ground around the cliff carefully before moving on.
4. Traversal Talisman
Climb the stairs next to Jewel’s shop and follow the path upward. Pick up the item along the route to obtain a Traversal Talisman.
5. Materials Near the River and Cornfields
Before exploring the Mandate Encampment, check the nearby river and the hut beside the cornfields.
- Open the chest in the river next to the village to collect Polished Broadplate Metal x2.

Starting The Journey Home and Reaching Zhuo Bi
6. Old Man Gen and The Journey Home
Find Old Man Gen and speak with him to begin the The Journey Home Wulin Tale.
This is one of the important side quests in Village of Lu, so speak with him when you first reach the area instead of leaving the conversation until later.
7. Memory Flower of Transcension Defyers – II. Parting Ways
Head toward the Mandate Encampment Outer Gate. Look for a blue flower in front of the gate and collect it to obtain Memory Flower of Transcension Defyers – II. Parting Ways.
Pick up the flower before moving deeper into the encampment.
8. Zhuo Bi, the Gatekeeper
Continue into the compound beyond Old Man Gen’s hideout. This area introduces the Heartless Remnants storyline.
Approach the figure in the center of the compound to start the fight against Zhuo Bi, the Gatekeeper.
Prepare for the encounter before approaching him. Defeating Zhuo Bi rewards you with Bastion, a shield ability that becomes useful for protecting yourself from certain attacks and reaching additional rewards elsewhere.
9. Blackstone Fragment in Zhuo Bi’s Arena
After defeating Zhuo Bi, inspect the arena before leaving. Open the chest inside to collect a Blackstone Fragment.
Make sure you collect this reward before moving toward the next section.
10. Brass Chest Guard: Return to Crimson Forest
Once you’ve obtained Bastion, you can return to Crimson Forest and revisit the Thieves’ Camp dungeon.
Use Bastion to protect yourself from the arrow trap inside the dungeon. Reach the chest at the end to collect the Brass Chest Guard accessory.
This is a backtracking reward rather than an item found directly in Village of Lu, but it’s worth collecting now that you have the required ability.
Young Master Lan and the Temple of Blue Fireflies
11. Young Master Lan Quest
After the Zhuo Bi encounter, look toward the nearby fence. You’ll hear a man calling out to you.
Find a way around the fence and speak with Lan Shaodi, also known as the Blue-Clad Young Master. This conversation unlocks the Young Master Lan Wulin Tale.
12. Young Mistress Collectible Quest
Exit through the gate above Zhuo Bi’s arena and examine the red ribbon tied to the tree. This starts the Young Mistress collectible quest.
Keep an eye out for additional ribbons as you explore the village. You’ll find another one outside the Temple of Blue Fireflies and a further one on the Covered Bridge.
13. Firefly’s Memory Flower – I. Heart of the Lake
Look for the compound containing blue fireflies to the left of the main route. Enter the compound and collect Firefly’s Memory Flower – I. Heart of the Lake.
This begins a series of Memory Flowers associated with the Firefly storyline.
14. Temple of Blue Fireflies
Continue to the Temple of Blue Fireflies and enter the temple to collect Firefly’s Memory Flower – VI. The Acolyte.
Outside the temple, inspect the area for another ribbon to progress the Young Mistress quest.
You can also find a small hut outside the temple. Open the chest inside to obtain Precision Mechanical Gear and Concentrated Solvent.
15. A Dream of Motherhood
Find the house with plaques around its doorway and speak with the Sleeping Flower-Masked Weaver inside.
This conversation starts the A Dream of Motherhood Wulin Tale. Make sure you speak with the Weaver before leaving this section.
Exploring the River and the Well of the Three Puppets
16. Memory Flower of the Villagers of Lu – I. Lovers’ Reunion
Follow the river downstream and defeat the enemy along the route.
After the fight, collect Memory Flower of the Villagers of Lu – I. Lovers’ Reunion.
Open the nearby chest to obtain a Traversal Talisman and a Weapon Reforge Talisman.
17. Firefly’s Memory Flower – II. Phantom Art Illusionist’s Settlement
Return to the river and follow it upstream toward the bridge.
Look along the route to find Firefly’s Memory Flower – II. Phantom Art Illusionist’s Settlement.
Check the riverbanks as you move through this section because several collectibles are placed away from the main path.
18. Well of the Three Puppets Bell
Continue through the village until you reach the Well of the Three Puppets Bell. Activate it before exploring the nearby houses and stairs.
From the Bell, climb the stairs and turn right to find a chest containing Twinned Metal and Mechanical Gear.
19. Camphor Timber
Continue farther along the route and look for a path on the left.
Pick up the item in the corner to obtain Camphor Timber.
20. Spirit-Returning Broth
Enter the nearby house and drop down into the basement.
Pick up the item inside to obtain Spirit-Returning Broth, a medicine item.
Make sure you search the basement before returning to the main route.
Collectibles in the Upper Village
21. Mother’s Talisman
Head toward the upper section of the village and enter the building there.
Defeat the enemy inside to obtain Mother’s Talisman.
After the fight, inspect the altar to collect Otherworldly Copper.
22. Wedding Candles
From the same building, enter the side room and climb the ladder to the second floor.
Open the chest to obtain Wedding Candles.
This is another item worth collecting while you’re already exploring the building.
23. Old Beggar and Upgrade Materials
Find the Old Beggar in one of the village houses and speak with him.
Then head upstairs to the second floor and open the chest to collect Polished Twinned Metal and Forged Metal.
Check the house carefully before leaving, as these materials can be easy to overlook.
Covered Bridge and the Red Thread Barrier
24. Firefly’s Memory Flower – III. The Herald
Travel to the area beneath the Covered Bridge Bell and look for the building covered in red threads.
Pick up the flower near the building to obtain Firefly’s Memory Flower – III. The Herald.
25. Break the Chains and Clear the Blocked Path
Look for chains near the red-threaded building. Break them to reveal a new section of the village.
Defeat the enemies in this area to remove the red thread blocking the route.
Once the path is open, search the wooden chest in front of the tree to collect a Blackstone Fragment.
26. Forbidden Concoction
Move to the area across from the tree covered in red threads. Climb the walls to reach the house on the upper level.
Enter the house, climb the ladder, and collect Forbidden Concoction.
Before leaving this area, check that you have cleared the enemies and opened the route blocked by the chains.
27. Covered Bridge Bell and More Materials
Return to the Covered Bridge Bell after clearing the red threads.
Open the chest near the end of the bridge to collect Darkfire Charcoal and Remnant Dust.
While crossing the bridge, examine the ribbon on the second section to progress the Young Mistress collectible quest.
28. Firefly’s Memory Flower – V. No Word
After exiting the Covered Bridge, enter the house on the right and descend into the basement.
Follow the route toward the tree and collect Firefly’s Memory Flower – V. No Word.
Open the nearby chest to obtain a Sha-Chi Amber Fragment.
29. Broadplate Metal and Forged Metal
Return to ground level and head into the yard across from the house.
Open the chest in the corner to collect Broadplate Metal and Forged Metal.
These materials are useful for upgrades, so pick them up before moving toward the next boss encounter.
Zhang’s Hideout and Quick Hand’s Request
30. Zhang’s Hideout in Village of Lu
Return to the creek section and head upstream.
Look for an entrance on the left and follow the path to the end to reach Zhang’s Hideout.
Speak with Quick Hand Zhang to receive the relic list for his Village of Lu treasure request.
31. Phantom Reforge Talisman and Weapon Reforge Talisman
Open the chest at the back of Zhang’s shop to obtain a Phantom Reforge Talisman and a Weapon Reforge Talisman.
After collecting these items, check Zhang’s shop for any additional materials or equipment you may need.
32. Polished Forged Metal and Concentrated Solvent
Return to the creek and follow it downstream.
Open the chest at the end to collect Polished Forged Metal and Concentrated Solvent.
This is a separate chest from the one inside Zhang’s shop, so check both locations.
33. Black Serpent House Bell
Continue through the village until you reach the Black Serpent House Bell.
Activate the Bell and enter the garage of the large house nearby.
Open the chest inside to obtain Incense Ash, Broadplate Metal, and Remnant Dust.
Statue Grounds Entrance and Master Bi Yuan
34. Statue Grounds Entrance Bell
Return to the Covered Bridge area and head up the stairs on the eastern side.
Continue climbing until you reach the Statue Grounds Entrance Bell.
Activate it before progressing, because a boss fight is coming up. This is a good time to rest and upgrade your equipment.
35. Master Bi Yuan of the Tianxuan Sect
Follow the route toward the temple and prepare to fight Master Bi Yuan of the Tianxuan Sect.
Defeating Master Bi Yuan rewards you with the Tianxuan Bronze Sword.
After the fight, check underneath the table to the left for Remnant Dust. You can also find a Memory Flower near the Bell.
Interact with the Crane beside the Bell to progress the associated objective.
36. Tainted Crystal Shard and Wulin Fighters’ Memory Flower
Enter the temple on the left and search near the altar to collect a Tainted Crystal Shard.
Continue farther into the temple until you reach the room with blue petals. Collect the Wulin fighters’ Memory Flower – I. Where Lies Hope?
The Prayers and Vows book and additional Remnant Dust can also be found nearby.
37. Explore the Hut on the Right
Search the hut on the right side of the temple area.
You can find Polished Twinned Metal x2, along with Remnant Dust on a corpse and at the altar.
Go behind the hut to pick up more Remnant Dust.
38. Unveiled Statue
Climb the route on the left until you reach a jade chest near the statues.
Open it to obtain the Unveiled Statue.
Continue climbing to the second floor of the temple and open the wooden chest to collect Remnant Dust, Ancient Timber, and Camphor Timber.
39. More Materials Along the Main Path
Return to the main path and descend the ladder.
Follow the route to pick up Remnant Dust, then open the wooden chest to obtain Remnant Dust, Broadplate Metal, and Polished Twinned Metal.
Continue ahead and collect the Polished Twinned Metal resting on the gear.
Underground Routes and Livingwood Talisman
40. Next Bell and Underground Passage
Continue through the archway and head right to find the next Bell.
Activate it before heading underground. Rest and upgrade your equipment if necessary.
To the left of the archway, look for a rope that takes you down to ground level. Follow the stairs into the underground section.
41. Remnant Dust, Illusory Incense Ash, and Broadplate Metal
Once underground, go through the window on the left and open the chest inside.
You’ll collect Remnant Dust, Illusory Incense Ash, and Broadplate Metal.
Leave the room and search the surrounding area for more Remnant Dust.
42. Livingwood Talisman
Cross the yard and enter the storeroom.
Pick up Ancient Timber and open the chest to obtain the Livingwood Talisman accessory.
Make sure you collect this item before continuing deeper into the tunnel.
43. Darkfire Charcoal and Tunnel Chest
Enter the tunnel and collect Darkfire Charcoal along the way.
Continue deeper until you reach the chest beside the next Bell. Open it to obtain Twinned Metal and Concentrated Solvent.
Activate the Bell and take a moment to rest before progressing into the next combat section.
Heartless Remnants and Master Bi Hai
44. Start Heartless Remnants
Find the Wounded Thief beside the iron gate and speak with him to unlock Heartless Remnants.
Look on the box beside the gate to collect another Traversal Talisman.
45. Master Bi Hai of Kuye Temple
Enter the field beyond the gate to fight Master Bi Hai of Kuye Temple.
Defeating Master Bi Hai rewards you with the Kuye Temple Prayer Beads.
Interact with the Memory Flower in the arena to collect Mandate Masters’ Memory Flower – I. The Righteous and Evil.
Search around the arena for additional Remnant Dust before leaving.
46. Blackstone Fragment and Wagon Chest
Head to the right and climb the ledges to collect Remnant Dust from a body.
Turn around and pick up the Blackstone Fragment. You can also find Remnant Dust in a chest on a wagon nearby.
These rewards are close to one another, so search the ledges and surrounding area before continuing up the path.
47. Cross the Bridge for More Materials
Continue climbing on the right and cross the bridge.
Collect the Remnant Dust along the route, then open the chest to obtain Remnant Dust, Forged Metal, and Polished Forged Metal.
Keep following the path uphill until you reach the next Bell.
Terraces, the Well, and the Final Areas
48. Terraces and the Upper Camp
After reaching the next Bell, rest and upgrade your equipment before moving forward.
Enter the hut on the right and collect the Memory Flower resting on the table.
Continue uphill past the rice field. Near a small camp, look for Remnant Dust beside the fence.
Open the nearby chest to collect Otherworldly Copper, Polished Twinned Metal, and Polished Broadplate Metal.
49. Clear the Well and Collect the Remaining Items
Continue toward the next Bell and follow the path to the mansion.
Destroy the tethers covering the well and interact with the Memory Flower.
Climb the ladder to collect a Weapon Reforge Talisman from the corner. Open the chest nearby to obtain Solvent, Polished Twinned Metal, and Concentrated Solvent.
Descend to the lower level and collect Remnant Dust from the body. Exit the tunnel and search for more Remnant Dust along the path.
Interact with the statue to collect additional Remnant Dust, then open the wooden chest to obtain Exotic Copper Ingot and Precision Mechanical Gear.
Interact with the next Memory Flower before continuing forward.
50. Sha-Chi Amber Fragment and Incense Ash
Use the grappling route to reach the roof below and defeat the enemies in the area.
Turn around and enter the nearby houses to collect Incense Ash.
Open the stone chest to obtain Forged Metal and a Sha-Chi Amber Fragment.
After collecting these rewards, return to the main path and continue toward the next secluded area.
51. Gatekeeping Mandate Disciple
Approach the closed door and speak with the Gatekeeping Mandate Disciple to enter the secluded area.

Behind the monk, open the chest to collect Remnant Dust and a Weapon Reforge Talisman.

52. White Jade Twins
Follow the stairs down toward the Memory Flower and continue into the depths.
Defeat the enemies in this area and collect Remnant Dust from the body.

53. Puppeteer’s Bell
Drop into the canyon and continue along the right side of the platforms.
Follow the route and collect Remnant Dust and a Traversal Talisman from the chest beside the waterfall.
Cross the bridges and descend toward the next Bell. Drop down from the bridge to trigger a cutscene introducing the next boss.
Defeat the boss to obtain Puppeteer’s Bell and continue through the cutscene.
After the encounter, move forward to collect a Tainted Crystal Shard and activate the next Bell. Rest and upgrade your equipment before revisiting the Well of the Three Puppets.
