Crystallized Rain is one of the final resources you’ll need in the late game. Every fully upgraded village eventually requires it, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself returning to old areas just to farm more.
What Is Crystallized Rain Used For?
Crystallized Rain is used for the final building upgrades in your village.
To completely max out every structure, you’ll need at least 18 Crystallized Rain, making it one of the rarest resources in the game.
How to Unlock Crystallized Rain
Before Crystallized Rain can appear, you’ll need to transform the biome where it spawns.
Here’s how it works:
- Visit the Sacrificial Altar inside the biome.
- Offer a sacrifice to Bless that region.
- Only one altar per biome is required.
- Stalker Well counts as a single biome, even though it’s divided into East and West sections.
Once the biome has been blessed, leave the area and begin another dive.
Defeat the Wall of Flesh
On your next expedition into the blessed biome, you’ll discover a disturbing Wall of Flesh guarding each Crystallized Rain location.
You won’t be able to pass it with normal equipment.
Instead, you’ll need the:
Blood Blade Upgrade
Without it, the crystals remain inaccessible.
Can Crystallized Rain Respawn?
Yes.
Although there are only 12 known spawn locations, they are not one-time collectibles.
After collecting a crystal, the same location can eventually produce another one during future dives.
At the moment, the exact respawn conditions aren’t fully understood. It doesn’t appear to happen every dive, so the best strategy is simply to revisit the known locations whenever you’re exploring those regions.
Since you need at least 18 crystals for every building upgrade, farming respawns is currently the only way to gather enough.
Tip: Place your world map nearby while farming. Revisiting all 12 spawn locations each expedition is much more efficient than randomly searching every biome.
How to Get the Many-Faced Egg
The Many-Faced Egg is earned by completing one of the game’s hidden environmental puzzles involving the massive creature found in the Crimson Basin.
Unlike most collectibles, you won’t simply find it lying around—you’ll need to prepare several items first.
Step 1 – Obtain the Corrosive Dart
Before anything else, you’ll need the Corrosive Dart Recipe.
You can find it near the entrance of the Eastern Farmlands.
Look for the first treasure chest you encounter after entering the area.
Open it to learn the recipe.
Step 2 – Find the Foam Dart Recipe
After obtaining the Corrosive Dart, travel toward the Eastern Stalker Well.
To reach the correct route:
- Swim downward.
- Continue toward the right.
If you accidentally head downward and left, you’ll enter the Crimson Basin instead.
Eventually you’ll discover a blocked passage.
Use the Corrosive Dart to dissolve the obstruction.
Continue inside until you reach the first passage on the left.

Foam Dart Recipe
Step 3 – Craft the Foam Dart
Return to your village.
Use the newly acquired recipe to craft a Foam Dart before heading back out.
Step 4 – Seal the Giant Carcass
Travel to the very bottom of the Crimson Basin.
Here you’ll discover the enormous Giant Carcass.
Aim directly at the opening in its head and fire the Foam Dart.
If done correctly, the wound will immediately seal.
Step 5 – Collect the Many-Faced Egg
After sealing the wound, look beside the Giant Carcass.
The Many-Faced Egg appears immediately and can be collected without any additional steps.
How to Get the Power Saw
The Power Saw is hidden inside one of the earliest areas in the game, although it’s surprisingly easy to miss.
Travel to The Shallows.
Look for the large shipwreck located slightly to the right of the First Idol.
Enter the wreck and continue swimming downward.
Eventually you’ll reach a section filled with a huge number of Sanity Leeches.
Instead of swimming through the centre of the swarm, look toward the left-hand side.
The Power Saw is hidden there.
Because of the leeches, it’s worth bringing healing supplies or using a survivor with strong sanity resistance before attempting to grab it.
How to Get the Silky Egg
The Silky Egg has been discovered in the game, but its acquisition method hasn’t been fully confirmed by the community yet.

How to Get the Tentacular Egg
Like the Silky Egg, the Tentacular Egg is currently one of the game’s remaining mysteries.
