I’ll be honest—I wasn’t expecting the Vampster hunt to become one of my favorite side activities in Moonlight Peaks. At first, I picked one up purely by accident, carried it back to the cave, and thought, “That was cute.” A few hours later, I was checking behind every tree, walking into random houses, and hugging every wall because these little troublemakers seem to love hiding where you’d least expect them.
The game doesn’t exactly point you toward every location, either. Some Vampsters are sitting in plain sight, while others are tucked behind furniture, hidden inside buildings, or squeezed into tiny corners you’d normally run straight past.
This guide collects every currently known Vampster location and organizes them by area so you can work through them one zone at a time instead of wandering the entire map hoping to get lucky.
Note: There are 100 Vampsters to find in total. The locations below cover the currently confirmed ones. The remaining areas are still being documented as more locations are discovered.
Moonlight Peaks Vampster Locations Guide – All 100 Collectibles
You won’t be able to start collecting Vampsters immediately.
The quest becomes available around Day 4, but first you’ll need to remove the curse blocking the southern bridge in Moonlight Peaks. Once that bridge is open, you’ll gain access to Misty Shores.
From there:
- Head to the Cave of Echoes on the far western side of Misty Shores.
- Watch the cutscene with Alina.
- After the conversation, the Vampster collection officially begins.
Once unlocked, you’ll start spotting these tiny creatures hiding all over the world.
Important Things to Know Before Hunting Vampsters
Before you start searching, there are a few rules worth remembering.
- There are 100 collectible Vampsters in total.
- Larry, the Vampster living in Alina’s house, does not count toward the collection.
- You can only carry one Vampster at a time.
- If you put one down before returning it to the Cave of Echoes, it’ll run back to its original hiding spot.
- Seasonal changes may make some screenshots online look slightly different, but the hiding locations remain the same.
My biggest piece of advice is simple: whenever you find one, return it immediately instead of trying to continue exploring.
All Farm Vampster Locations
There are 4 Vampsters hidden around your farm area.
Farm Vampster #1
Look just south of the Crypt.
This is usually one of the earliest Vampsters most players find.
Farm Vampster #2
Head southwest of your house toward the waterfall.
Search around the edge near the water.
Farm Vampster #3
Continue southwest until you reach the beach.
Check the corner carefully because this one is tucked tightly against the edge.
It’s surprisingly easy to walk right past it.
Farm Vampster #4
Enter the Crypt.
Walk behind Viktor’s coffin, where the final farm-area Vampster is hiding.
All Cave of Echoes Vampster Locations
The Cave of Echoes contains 5 confirmed Vampsters.
Cave of Echoes #1
Travel northeast from the cave entrance.
Cave of Echoes #2
Check the far northeastern corner.
Cave of Echoes #3
Head to the northwest section just above the cave entrance.
Cave of Echoes #4
Return to the northeastern corner.
This one sits slightly south of Vampster #2.
Cave of Echoes #5
Search the northernmost point of the cave.
If you’ve explored the entire cave without finding it, you probably haven’t walked far enough north.
All Crystal Cave Vampster Locations
There are currently 2 confirmed Vampsters inside Crystal Cave.
Crystal Cave #1
Visit the southwest corner.
You’ll find this Vampster sitting inside the wrecked boat.
Crystal Cave #2
Check the altar.
This one is lying directly on top of it, making it fairly easy to spot.
All Moonlit Pines Vampster Locations
Moonlit Pines currently contains the largest number of confirmed locations with 11 Vampsters.

Look just south of the staircase leading toward the beach.
It’s tucked into a small corner.
Moonlit Pines #2
Go west from the bottom of the stairs.
Search near the waterfall in the back corner.
Moonlit Pines #3
Enter Fiona’s House.
The Vampster is sitting near the fireplace in the right corner.
Moonlit Pines #4
Stay inside Fiona’s House.
Look between the staircase and the bookshelf.
Moonlit Pines #5
Travel south of the stream.
It’s hiding behind the trees in one of the corners.
Moonlit Pines #6
Look beside the main path.
You’ll find it close to the gray wooden beam.
Moonlit Pines #7
Walk west of the archway.
Search behind the surrounding trees and bushes.
Moonlit Pines #8
Head toward the garden plot.
Check behind the barrels hidden among the trees.
Moonlit Pines #9
Visit the barn.
Walk to the back-right corner to find another hidden Vampster.
Moonlit Pines #10
Go inside Luna’s Farmhouse.
Head upstairs and look beside the bed.
Moonlit Pines #11
Find the pumpkin patch.
Walk north and search behind the trees.
All Misty Shores Vampster Locations
There are currently 6 confirmed Vampsters hidden throughout Misty Shores.

Search just below the campfire.
Misty Shores #2
Head west of the Moonlight Tower.
The map marker online can be slightly inaccurate due to a bug, so search just left of the tower itself.
Misty Shores #3
Enter the Moonlight Tower.
Walk behind the chair on the right-hand side.
Misty Shores #4
Visit the Ambrosia Mansion.
On the western side of the mansion, check beside the grandfather clock.
Misty Shores #5
Stay inside Ambrosia Mansion.
Go into the kitchen directly north of the entrance.
The Vampster is beside the vase holding the blue flower.
Misty Shores #6
Head downstairs inside Ambrosia Mansion.
Look beside the cactus sitting next to the coffin.
Moonlight Peaks Town Vampster Locations
This area is still being documented by the community.
More confirmed Vampster locations will be added as they’re discovered.
Howling Marshes Vampster Locations
The Howling Marshes also remain a work in progress.
Only a portion of the game’s 100 Vampsters has been fully documented so far, so expect additional locations to appear as players continue exploring.
Tips for Finding Hidden Vampsters Faster
Even without a complete map, a few habits make the search much easier.
- Always check behind furniture inside houses.
- Walk behind trees instead of around them.
- Visit every corner of each map.
- Enter every accessible building.
- Inspect waterfalls, cliffs, beaches, and dead ends.
- Return each Vampster immediately before continuing your search.
- Explore during different seasons if visibility changes.
The developers clearly enjoyed hiding these little creatures in places most players never think to check first.
Collecting every Vampster is one of those side activities that slowly becomes addictive. You start by rescuing one because it’s nearby, then suddenly you’re checking every bookshelf, barn, cave corner, and flower pot wondering if another tiny runaway is hiding there.
The best approach is to clear one region at a time instead of bouncing across the map. Working area by area makes it much easier to remember where you’ve already searched, and it turns the hunt into a relaxing exploration rather than a frustrating guessing game. As more Vampster locations are confirmed, this guide can be expanded until all 100 of Moonlight Peaks’ mischievous little collectibles have finally been brought home.
