The nice part is that armor is very straightforward. There aren’t dozens of complicated systems attached to it. Simply equip better gear whenever you obtain it, and your Defense naturally improves.
Whenever you return to town, it’s worth opening your equipment chest for a quick comparison. Sometimes you’ll already own something with noticeably better stats without realizing it.
Every Armor Slot Explained
Your equipment is divided into four different categories.
Tops
This is your chest armor and usually provides one of the biggest defensive boosts.
Whenever you craft or loot a better Top, it’s often worth equipping immediately unless another piece has better modifiers that fit your playstyle.
Gloves
Gloves provide additional Defense while also completing your equipment set.
