Choosing the best character in Granblue Fantasy: Relink can be difficult, especially since every character has a unique playstyle. Some heroes are incredibly easy to learn and perform well in almost every fight, while others can reach amazing damage numbers but require much more practice to master.
The current meta is heavily focused on characters that can deal consistent damage, survive difficult encounters, and contribute useful buffs or debuffs to the party. Every crew member in the game is capable of clearing the hardest content when properly built and played well.
This tier list is based on the current version of the game after the Endless Ragnarok expansion and reflects overall performance in boss fights, endgame farming, multiplayer, and general gameplay.

SS Tier
Sandalphon
Sandalphon currently stands at the top of the tier list because he combines everything players want in an endgame character. He deals extremely high damage, moves around the battlefield with ease, and has a surprisingly simple rotation that doesn’t require perfect execution.
One of his biggest strengths is Lightstep, which allows him to fire powerful sword waves while maintaining excellent mobility. Instead of constantly putting himself in danger, he can continue dealing damage from safer positions without sacrificing much DPS.
Once Sandalphon enters Supreme Primarch Mode, he becomes even stronger. His enhanced form grants powerful offensive buffs while also improving his survivability, allowing him to stay aggressive during long boss encounters. This combination of safety, mobility, and damage makes him the strongest all-around character in the current meta.
S Tier
These characters are only slightly behind Sandalphon. Each one has incredible strengths and can outperform almost anyone when played correctly.
Charlotta
Charlotta is one of the easiest melee characters to pick up, making her a fantastic choice for both beginners and experienced players.
Her attacks flow together naturally, and even repeatedly using her basic combo can trigger a flurry of rapid slashes that deal impressive damage. Once you become comfortable with her dodge and parry timing, she becomes even stronger because successful defensive actions can grant brief invincibility.
She rewards good timing without demanding difficult mechanics, making her one of the most reliable DPS characters in the game.
Narmaya
Narmaya has one of the highest damage ceilings in the entire game, but she requires practice before reaching her full potential.
Her stance-switching mechanics may seem complicated at first, but mastering them allows her to unleash devastating combos while strengthening herself and weakening enemies at the same time.
Players willing to invest time into learning her rotations will find one of the strongest boss killers available.
Lancelot
Lancelot focuses on speed and crowd control.
