Jumping into this event, I thought it would just be a simple Easter quest… but it turns into a whole detective mission inside this weirdly pink chocolate factory. Right away, you’re told the golden egg is gone, and pretty much everyone there looks suspicious.
You don’t really “solve” anything at the start though. You just walk around, click everything, and slowly piece things together.
Detective Duck Chocolate Factory Walkthrough – Easter Event
There are fingerprints near the entrance, but checking them with UV doesn’t really help. A lot of stuff looks interactive, but nothing gives clear answers yet.
You’ll notice locked systems and keycard scanners early on, so it’s obvious you’ll need to find one eventually.
The Color Puzzle
This is where things start getting annoying.
There’s a color button puzzle that doesn’t seem to work even if you match colors at first. The trick is doing it in the correct order from right to left. Once you follow the proper sequence, it finally activates.
Fixing the Pipe
After that, you’ll run into a leaking pipe.
Use the tape you find to seal it. That fixes the system and unlocks the next part, but then things get… kinda dumb in a funny way.
The Keycard
You end up interacting with food and eating Easter eggs, which makes your character sick.
Then you go to the toilet… and somehow a keycard comes out of it. That’s literally how you get it. Take it, clean or not, and use it on the scanner.
Decoder and Weight Puzzle
There’s a machine that asks for input using a decoder.
You’re given a clue about 3000g total weight, with 80% chocolate and 20% gold. Entering the correct value gets accepted, but then it asks for a password next.
Draining the Chocolate River
There’s a control panel you probably ignored earlier.
Go back and spam the left button until the chocolate level hits zero. Once the river is drained, you’ll be able to find a dirty note.
Washing the Note
The note looks useless at first.
Take it to the bathroom and wash it, then use a magnifying tool to actually read it. That reveals the password: Top factory.
Unlocking the Next Area
After entering the password, you’ll need to input another code.
Use 667732 in the decoder to unlock access to the next section, which leads you into the candy farm.
Candy Farm Puzzle
Here, you’ll need to follow a specific sequence.
Once you get it right, you’ll receive a coin. That coin is used to open the vent you saw earlier, letting you move forward.
The Fake Egg Twist
Eventually, you’ll find the golden egg… except it’s not real.
It’s a fake, and the game lets you end the investigation at this point. It really feels like it should be the factory owner, especially with the insurance detail.
The Real Thief
Turns out it’s Andrew.
He used his knowledge of computers to hack the system, bypass security, and swap the real egg with a fake one in the chocolate river room. Not the most obvious suspect, which is probably why it works.
