Alright, so if you’re here, you probably already know this isn’t some simple “go here and buy it” rod. The Migurod is one of those hidden, multi-step secrets where if you miss even one detail, the whole thing just stops working.
I went through the entire process, and trust me—it looks complicated at first, but once you understand the flow, it actually makes sense. I’ll walk you through it cleanly so you don’t get stuck halfway.
Step 1 – Unlock the Music Venue (Starting Point)
Before anything else, you need access to the Music Venue.
Here’s how you get there:
- Go to Crystal Cove → The Depths
- Reach the Catwalk
- Enter the tunnel
- Bring a Chaotic Enchant Relic
- Place it at the door to unlock the venue
Inside, you’ll find three NPCs sitting near the stage. This is where the quest begins.
Important:
You must follow the steps in order. You cannot skip ahead.
Step 2 – Collect and Turn In 6 Fish
Each NPC requires 2 specific fish (with mutations).
1. Pink/Red NPC (Miguro)
You need:
- Crimson Blue Lip Batfish
- Sanguine Blue Lip Batfish
Location:
- Found in Luminescent Caverns (Desolate Deep area)
2. Yellow NPC (Tawu)
You need:
- Shiny Solar Largemouth Bass
- Shiny King’s Blessing Largemouth Bass
Location:
- Found in Moosewood pond (center area)
3. Blue NPC (Mac)
You need:
- Sunken Grand Reef Guardian
- Shiny Abyssal Grand Reef Guardian
Important Note
After turning in:
- You’ll receive 3 special bobbers
- Mini Reef Guardian
- Not-so Largemouth Bass
- Red Lip Batfish
Even though you get them early, you still need to complete all 6 fish to finish this step.
Step 3 – Roslit Volcano Emote Puzzle
Now head to Roslit Bay (Volcano).
- Go to the absolute top (highest platform)
- Use the Bird Brain emote
- Keep doing it until you receive a Red Herring
If nothing happens, you’re probably not at the exact top.
Step 4 – Sunstone Island Puzzle
Next, go to Sunstone Island.
- Climb to the highest peak
- Use the Bird Brain emote again
This time, you’ll see a secret message pop up. That confirms you’re on the right track.
Step 5 – Terapin Island (Cultist Lair Puzzle)
Now things get interesting.
Go to Terapin Island → Cultist Lair
You’ll need to collect 3 rod parts, each using a specific bobber.
Floor 2
- Equip Red Lip Batfish bobber
- Find a closed door on the right
- Cast your rod at it
- The door explodes
Reward:
- Crimson Rhythm Handle
Floor 3
- Equip Mini Reef Guardian bobber
- Find a strange wall/vein
- Cast at it
Reward:
- Melody Bridge Neck
Final Floor
- Equip Not-so Largemouth Bass bobber
- Go to the rock near Adrian NPC
- Cast carefully
Reward:
- Pitch Shift Reel
Step 6 – Forge the Rod
Now go back to Roslit and find the Blacksmith (Alfie).
- Select the option to forge the rod
- He jokes about charging 1 billion, but it’s actually:
Cost: 1 million
Don’t panic—you only need to pay 1M.
You’ll receive a Strange Guitar.
Step 7 – Final Upgrade at Music Venue
Return to the Music Venue.
- Talk to the NPCs again
- They will upgrade the rod
Final cost:
- Around 4.14 million
Total cost overall:
- Roughly 5 million
After paying, you finally unlock the Migurod.

Here’s what you get:
- Lure Speed: 427%
- Luck: 237%
- Control: 0.101
- Resilience: -185%
- Passive: Unique mechanic with “exclamation points” affecting control
How the Passive Works
While fishing:
- Exclamation points appear on your control bar
- If your bar touches them → part of it gets cut off
So you need to carefully avoid those zones while reeling.
It’s tricky, but once you get used to it, it’s actually pretty fun.
