If you’re just starting Pixel Worlds, it can feel a bit overwhelming at first. There’s a lot going on—worlds, locks, currencies, mining, fishing—and the game doesn’t exactly hold your hand after the tutorial.
So instead of throwing a robotic “do this, do that” list at you, let me walk you through it like someone who’s already made the early mistakes and learned the hard way.
Pixel Worlds Beginner Guide & Walkthrough
When you first load in, just follow the tutorial. Don’t rush it.
Once that’s done, your very first real move should be:
Create Your Own World
- Open the WORLDS tab
- Pick a unique name
- Hit Create
Now here’s the important part most beginners mess up:
Place Your Free World Lock Immediately
You get a Newbie World Lock for free. Use it.
- Open inventory
- Place it anywhere in your world
That one action:
- Secures your entire world
- Prevents random players from stealing your stuff
Skip this, and you’re basically asking to get robbed.
Understanding the UI
You don’t need to memorize everything, just know what matters:
- Main Menu (List Icon): Worlds, settings, shop, recipes
- Social Menu: Friends, messages, clans
- Quests: Your main source of XP and rewards early on
- Gems: Basic currency
- Byte Coins (BC): Premium trading currency
- Chat: Communication
- Emotes: Just for fun
- Zoom: Surprisingly useful while building
You’ll naturally learn the rest as you play.
The Wrench
This thing is basically your control panel.
- Press X or click it in inventory
- Use it on:
- Blocks → change settings
- Locks → manage access
- Players → trade or add friend
If you remember one thing:
Wrench = interaction tool for everything
Locks & World Security
There are different types of locks, but here’s the simple version:
- Small/Medium/Large Locks: Protect areas
- World Lock (WL): Protects your entire world
Once you place a World Lock:
- You can give access to others
- But… they can take EVERYTHING
So yeah—only trust people you actually know.
Fast Progression
There’s no single “best” method, but these three are the core of progression.
1. Nether (Best Early Game Boost)
If you’re bored of farming, this is where things get interesting.
How it works:
- Buy Nether Scroll I (50 gems)
- Enter Nether
- Kill monsters, open chests, find keys
Why it’s good:
- Fast XP
- Good gem income
- Sell Nether Crystals for BC
You only get 3 lives, so don’t play reckless.
2. Mining (Steady Progress)
Go to PIXELMINES
- Grab free Crappy Pickaxe
- Enter Level 1
- Start digging
As you go deeper:
- You find better ores
- But enemies get stronger
It’s simple, but consistent.
3. Fishing (Chill but Profitable)
If you want something relaxing:
- Buy Bamboo Rod + Lure Pack
- Go to water worlds (search “FISH”)
- Cast → wait → react
It’s a timing mini-game:
- Press when the fish bites
- Keep it inside the green bar
You earn:
- Gems
- XP
- Sometimes extra bait
Upgrade your rod later—it makes a big difference.
Best Progression Order
If you’re wondering what to focus on:
- Nether (fastest early gains)
- Mining (steady resources)
- Fishing (passive income + chill gameplay)
Follow this, and you won’t feel stuck.
Quests, Levels & Daily Rewards
This is where a lot of your progress actually comes from.
Quests
- Found in PIXELSTATION
- Daily & weekly tasks
- Huge XP + gem rewards
Always check them.
Leveling Up
Higher level = unlock better:
- Gear
- Tools
- Fishing rods
- Weapons
Don’t ignore XP—it matters more than you think.
Daily Login Rewards
Just logging in gives:
- Gems
- Items
- Event rewards
Even if you don’t play, log in. Free stuff adds up.
Scam Protection
Let’s be real—Pixel Worlds has scammers. A lot.
Here’s what to avoid:
Drop Game Scam
“If you drop your item, I’ll give you better one”
No. Just no.
You drop → they kick you → item gone.
Trust Trade Scam
“Give me item first to show trust”
Nobody gives free value. Ever.
Trade Screen Trick
They:
- Add item
- Cancel trade
- Re-add fake version
Always double-check before accepting.
Access Scam
You give access → they clean your world
Never give access to random players.
Fake Links (Phishing)
“Free BC / Free VIP”
These steal your account.
Don’t click anything outside the game.
