This is the part where most players either figure the game out… or quit early. Cursed Gear doesn’t work like typical Roblox RPGs. You’re not just grinding mobs safely—this is closer to an extraction + PvP progression system, and if you don’t understand that early, you’ll keep losing progress.
So instead of dumping everything at once, let’s walk through progression the way you actually experience it.
Cursed Gear Progression Guide – Fast Leveling, Stats, PvP
The game loop is simple—but brutal:
- Go on expeditions
- Complete missions + collect loot
- Extract safely
- Upgrade your character
But here’s the twist…
If you die, you lose everything from that run.
That includes:
- Time (main currency)
- Loot
- Progress from that expedition
Which means progression isn’t just about grinding—it’s about surviving and making smart decisions.
Expeditions
Every run starts by:
- Creating or joining a party (up to 4 players)
- Entering via pods
- Spawning into a random instance
Each expedition:
- Has missions (marked with exclamation points)
- Has random players (or invaders)
- Ends at an extraction point
Extraction
You don’t progress unless you extract.
- Go to the extraction zone (often Sunset Freeway)
- Clear enemies inside the veil
- Call helicopter
- Leave safely
If you don’t extract → your run is wasted.
Early tip:
Memorize routes to Sunset Freeway. This alone will save your progression.
PvP
This game forces PvP into progression.
When you kill players:
- You get half their time
- You get all their loot
- You gain huge progression boosts
That’s why experienced players progress faster—they fight.
But you don’t need to go full aggressive.
Smart approach:
- Fight when you have advantage
- Avoid fights when low
- Don’t carry too much risk early
Loots
During expeditions, you’ll find different orbs/items. Knowing these is huge.
Pink Orbs
- Level up gear skills
- Extremely important for damage scaling
Purple Orbs
- Modify abilities (skill augments)
- Can completely change how a move works
White Orbs (Cybernetics)
- Give stats + abilities
- Core part of your build
Technique Shards
- Collect 3 → unlock a Curse Technique
- There are 70+ in the game
Red Orbs
- Level up your Curse Technique
Bonus Tip:
You can convert unwanted items into Time for faster progression.
Stats Explained
Stats matter a LOT more than people think.
Durability (Your First Priority)
- Increases HP
- Prevents getting one-shot
Aim for at least C rank early
Output
- Increases skill damage
- Also boosts stamina
Efficiency
- Better stamina usage
- More ability uptime
Awareness (Very Important Mid-Game)
- Increases posture damage
- Helps break blocks
Fizz
- Only affects M1 damage
Dexterity
- Movement speed
Stat Scaling Tip
Stats go like:
F → E → D → C → B → A → S → SS
Big jumps happen when you change letters, not numbers.
Example:
- C1 → C5 = small boost
- C5 → B1 = BIG boost
ASI (Stat Boost System Every 25 Levels)
Every 25 levels, you get a massive stat allocation boost.
Levels:
- 25
- 50
- 75
- 100
- 125
- 150
These are your biggest power spikes.
Gear Progression
Your class (gear) matters—but not as much as your build.
Recommended beginner gears:
- Projector → best for learning aggression
- Ravager → flexible and strong
But remember: Skill levels (from pink orbs) matter more than raw stats sometimes
Curse Techniques (Huge Power System)
To unlock:
- Collect 3 shards of same technique
- Use crystal → unlock
Each technique has 3 upgrade paths:
- Efficiency → less cost
- Haste → lower cooldowns
- Potency → more damage
Some also have evolutions (new abilities).
Cybernetics (Your Real Build System)
Think of these as gear/equipment.
They:
- Give stats
- Add abilities
- Have rarity + star levels
Load System (Very Important)
You can’t equip everything.
- Base load: 100
- Increases with grade
Stronger cybernetics = higher load cost
So you need to balance:
- Power
- Efficiency
- Build synergy
Grade Exams (How You Actually Get Strong)
At level 25 → you enter Grade Exams
These are:
- Tournament-style PvP (1v1s)
- 8 players
- Only top players rank up
Progression:
- Grade 4 → Grade 3 → Grade 2 → Special Grade
Higher grade =
👉 More stats
👉 Higher cybernetic load
👉 Stronger builds
Culling Games (Mid-Endgame PvP Mode)
Happens every other hour.
Features:
- PvP-focused arena
- 2 lives system
- Rewards based on kills
More kills = better rewards
PMC (Guild System)
You can:
- Create factions
- Build bases
- Raid other players
Benefits:
- Better loot
- Cybernetic rerolls
- Endgame progression
Top PMCs even get bonus rewards from expeditions
The Fastest Way to Progress (Real Strategy)
If I had to simplify everything into a real path:
- Do missions → learn maps
- Prioritize Durability early
- Extract safely (don’t be greedy)
- Start taking smart PvP fights
- Upgrade skills (pink orbs)
- Unlock a solid Curse Technique
- Participate in grade exams
- Join a PMC for late game
Cursed Gear progression isn’t about grinding harder—it’s about:
- Playing smarter
- Knowing when to fight
- Knowing when to leave
- Building correctly
Once you understand that…
The game stops feeling punishing—and starts feeling rewarding.
