Fisch Dreadfin Update – Apex Hunt, Changes, Relic & Code

The Dreadfin update in Fisch brings a mix of new systems, reworks, and balance changes. Some of these are obvious right away, while others only make sense once you actually play through them.

This guide walks you through everything included in the update so you know exactly what to focus on.

Apex Hunt (Dreadfin Event Explained)

The biggest feature in this update is the Apex Hunt.

This event doesn’t stay active all the time. Instead, it appears roughly every 3 hours, and once it shows up, you only get a limited window to catch it.

If you don’t react quickly, the opportunity is gone.

So the key here is timing. You need to be ready when it spawns, or you’ll miss out on the rewards completely.

Tradable & Sellable Items

Another major change is that certain items are now tradable and sellable.

These include:

  • Lanterns
  • Halos
  • Gliders
  • Boos

This makes inventory management much easier. Instead of keeping unused items, you can now trade them or sell them depending on what you need.

Masterline Rod Mastery

A new Masterline Mastery has been added.

This gives you an additional progression path tied specifically to the Masterline rod. If you’ve been using it already, now you have more reason to continue leveling it up.

Invincible Enchant Change

The Invincible enchantment has been moved to the secondary slot.

This is a big improvement because it allows you to use Invincible alongside other enchants instead of replacing them.

It gives you more flexibility when setting up your build.

Equipment & Inventory Improvements

The equipment system has been improved with a favorites feature.

You can now mark important items, making it easier to organize your inventory and quickly access what you actually use.

Bloop Hunt Rework

The Bloop Hunt system has been changed.

Here’s how it works now:

  • Bloops spawn using a new system
  • Catching baby bloops gives you a chance to trigger the main event

Other changes include:

  • Multihooking is no longer possible
  • Timing and behavior have been adjusted

This makes the hunt more structured and less random.

Environment & UI Changes

There are also some smaller updates that improve the overall experience:

  • New music added
  • Unique notifications introduced
  • The Master Rod now has a custom reel interface

These don’t change gameplay directly but make everything feel smoother and clearer.

Balance Changes & Adjustments

Several balancing updates were included:

  • Tryhard enchantment now gives +50,000 kg
  • Some drops are slightly more common

Additional adjustments:

  • Rod quests have been updated
  • Some masteries are now easier
  • Rod passives have been reworked

Overall, progression feels more balanced and less restrictive.

Admin Relic (Weekend Event)

There is also an Admin Relic introduced in this update.

You can obtain it by participating in weekend events, specifically during the special activity window before updates.

This gives you access to relic-related rewards and adds another reason to log in during those times.

New Code

There is one redeemable code available:

Code:
newislandsoon

If it doesn’t work immediately, you may need to try redeeming it again later depending on availability.

This update is not just about one feature — it’s a combination of event content, system improvements, and balance changes.

The most important things to focus on are:

  • Timing the Apex Hunt
  • Taking advantage of tradable items
  • Using the new enchant flexibility
  • Participating in weekend events for the Admin Relic

Once you understand these, the rest of the update fits naturally into your progression.
