Layer 8 is built to confuse you. Doors look fake. Exits aren’t always real. Rooms hide things above you, below you, and sometimes directly behind you. If you’re missing a secret here, it’s probably because the level tricked you into thinking you were done.
This guide walks you through every secret in 8-1, 8-2, and 8-3 clearly and directly, so you can clean up whatever you missed without wasting time searching random corners.
No filler. Just exactly where to go.
8-1 – HURTBREAK WONDERLAND
Secret 1
At the start, look for the lion eating the sun.
Behind it are doors. Go through them. That’s your first secret.
Secret 2
At the long stairway leading up toward GOD, look back down at the bottom door.
There’s a room above that door. That’s where Secret 2 is.
Secret 3
After the fake exit, continue into the next building.
Inside the bathroom there, you’ll find the third secret.
Secret 4
After defeating the Insurrectionist, enter the next building.
You’ll notice a small window. Don’t try to squeeze through it.
Instead, look left for a door — that’s the correct path to the secret.
Secret 5
After the room with two Sentries, you’ll enter a room with Providence and two Guttertanks.
As soon as you pass through the door, jump immediately to reach the sliding room above.
Turn around once you’re inside to collect the secret.

Complete the level-specific objective for 8-1 as required for full completion.
8-2 – THROUGH THE MIRROR
Secret 1
At the top of the building directly in front of the exit.
If you head straight for the exit without checking above, you’ll miss it.
Secret 2
Go to the second floor labeled “Out of Service.”
You can reach it by:
- Breaking the vent in the meeting room, or
- Breaking the vent on top of a working elevator
Both routes lead into the elevator shaft.
From there, break the vent on top of the broken elevator to reach the secret.
Secret 3
In the box room, go into the vent located underneath the elevator.
The secret is inside.
Secret 4
In the night room, look toward the rocky island with trees.
There’s a hidden door concealed among the trees.
That’s where Secret 4 is — but be prepared when you enter.
Secret 5
Before the final fight, you’ll pass through a toilet room.
One of the stall walls is broken.
Go inside that broken section to collect the fifth secret.
8-3 – DISINTEGRATION LOOP
Secret 1
In the first room, there’s a TV.
You can enter it the same way you do at the start of 8-1. That’s Secret 1.
Secret 2
In the crushers room, there’s a gap behind the crushers.
It’s difficult to reach, but once you make it past them, the secret itself is easy to spot.
Secret 3
In the night city area:
If you took the blue skull route, turn left and move forward.
You’ll see the red skull to your left.
Further left, there’s a dark alley.
Check the trashcan in that alley — Secret 3 is inside.
