The Grow a Garden Fall Market 2 Update Guide has just landed in Grow a Garden, and while it may not be the largest patch ever, it brings a good mix of quests, gears, pets, and activities worth checking out. If you’ve been wondering how to get started, what’s new, and whether the rewards are worth grinding for, this guide will walk you through everything step by step.

1 The Fall Harvest NPC and Energy System
2 New Gears
3 New Seeds
4 New Pets
5 New Activities

The Fall Harvest NPC and Energy System

The centerpiece of this update is the Fall Harvest NPC, who introduces a new way of earning rewards through Full Energy Quests.
Each quest you complete grants 10 Fall Energy, which you’ll need to unlock rewards. The quests are straightforward but require a bit of farming prep:

  • Plant 2 Parsley
  • Plant 20 Corn
  • Harvest 25 Apples
  • Use 1 Rake

These repeatable tasks tie into your garden progression, and once completed, you’ll start unlocking some useful rewards. Here are the highlight prizes:

  • Maple Resin – still the best-value crop item.
  • Grand Master Sprinkler – top-tier watering efficiency.
  • Rainbow Fertilizer – boosts growth across your garden.

New Gears

This update added several new tools, and while some are incredibly strong, a couple are a bit more situational. Here’s the rundown:

  • Rake – currently a mystery. Its function hasn’t been revealed yet, so keep an eye out for updates.
  • Shackle Gun – a new utility tool.
  • Super Leaf Blower – clears plants/leaves with ease.
  • Acorn Bell & Acorn Lollipop – themed seasonal gears.
  • Grow – instantly grows all plants in your garden. Extremely useful.
  • Steal – controversial gear that lets you take plants from other gardens. Expect more theft in public servers.
  • Super Watering Can – speeds up plant growth by 25%, making it a great everyday item.

The Steal gear is probably the most game-changing addition, as it changes the way players interact with each other. Private servers are now more valuable than ever if you don’t want your plants stolen.

New Seeds

The update brought in a batch of new seeds, but overall, they’re not game-breaking. Here’s the standout example:

  • Firewell Seed – average weight of 4.5 kg, valued at 112,000 Shekels.

While these numbers look good on paper, the reality is that the Maple Resin remains the best seed for profit. Many players consider this new seed pack “mid” compared to what’s already available.

New Pets

Pets continue to evolve with each update, and this patch introduces several unique companions. Each has a special effect tied to farming or resources:

  • Silver Dragonfly (Legendary) – occasionally turns random fruit into silver.
  • Fortune Squirrel – can apply the Fortune mutation on crops.
  • Red Panda (Divine) – refreshes shop stocks randomly, giving access to rare items.
  • Malard – migrates south hourly, leaving behind a random gear, then returns to your inventory.
  • Woodpecker – pecks woody plants, with a chance to duplicate fruits.
  • Salmon – boosts experience gain for every salmon in your garden.

Of these, the Red Panda stands out the most for its shop-refresh ability, while the Silver Dragonfly adds a small but handy boost to crop value.

New Activities

To keep players engaged, the update added Activities, which function like repeatable mini-tasks.

  • You can complete one activity every 30 minutes.
  • Completing an activity rewards you with access to shop unlocks and other bonuses.

It’s a welcome change for players who want more structure instead of just idle gardening.

The Fall Market 2 Update isn’t the biggest update Grow a Garden has seen, but it does shake things up in interesting ways.

  • The Steal gear will create tension in public servers.
  • The Red Panda pet could become highly valuable for shop grinders.
  • Maple Resin still dominates the farming economy, leaving the new seeds feeling underwhelming.

Overall, it’s a light content drop that gives you new tools, pets, and activities to play with, but nothing game-changing unless you enjoy the PvP-style mechanics of stealing plants. If you’re aiming to progress, focus on the Fall Energy Quests, keep farming Maple Resin, and grab gears like the Super Watering Can or Grow for efficiency.
