In this post, we will show you the Whiteout Survival Bear Trap Guide and the best heroes for Bear Trap. The Bear Trap is an alliance event that is one of the best sources of free Hero Essence Stones and resources. Your rewards depend on how much damage you can do in 30 minutes, with maximum rewards over 1.2 billion damage. As such, we would like to find ways to maximize our damage.
Bonuses to Attack, Lethality, and Damage:
CAUTION: the following guidelines are specific to the bear, and mostly written for newer (pre-Gen 4) players/servers. the bear is a great way to learn the basics behind rally mechanics, but the glass cannon build promoted here will lose you, troops, in PvP.
Lethality and damage bonuses are the most important. they seem to function similarly, but damage is a hidden stat. bear combat is short, which makes % chance skills less reliable. bonuses from Expedition skills are additive; Exclusive Skills from the widgets are additive and multiplicative. Attack bonuses from skills are quickly outpaced by the higher max stat cap in later Gens. don’t rely on them much.
The trap:
You can run the bear every 2 days. between spawns, Explosive Arrowheads can be gathered from hunting beasts and used to upgrade the trap up to level 5, giving everyone +5% Attack per level. this is a good, cheap bonus.
Placement:
You should figure out who has the highest rally troop deployment cap and assign spaces around the trap accordingly; this will minimize their travel time and allow >12 people to run 5 rallies per event. (1)

Bear Trap Tips
Main Rally (strong players only) – when you call for Rally on Bear:
Hero’s – Always start a Rally with your 3 strongest heroes. Strongest archer, strongest lancer, and strongest infantry in order of most power in 1st position.
Troops – Then set “BALANCE” to 60% archer, 20% infantry and 20% lancer
Joining Rally’s (weaker players or extra troops)
Hero’s – Always set one of them (Jeronimo, Jesse, Jasser, or Seo) to 1st position when joining another teammate’s rally. No other hero should EVER be in first position. Fill the remaining spots with the best available heroes.
Troops – equalize, equalize, equalize!!! This allows for more teammates to join rallies and increases alliance points (better rewards!)
Example:
- Main Rally – Molly, Natalia, Zinman (60/20/20) troop split
- Join Rally – Jeronimo, Wallis, Gina (equalize)
- Join Rally – Jesse, Bahiti, Sergei (equalize)
- Join Rally – Jasser, Patrick, Eugene (equalize)
- Join Rally – Seo, Charlie, Smith (equalize)
What is the best strategy for Gen 2, focusing on Top 3 Heroes or Top 5?
For Generation 2, the best strategy for free-to-play (F2P) and low-spenders is to focus on Flint, as he is obtained from the Lucky Wheel and remains a useful infantry hero until Generation 5.
If you can go for two heroes, the best choice is Alonso, who will be valuable for Bear Trap rally and Arena until Generation 5. For garrison defense, the recommended heroes are Flint, Philly, and Zinman.
