Eternal Guard #1 – The Battlefields: Onslaught Arch

<text color=”secondary” size=”sm”>Location: Onslaught Arch lantern</text> Start at the Onslaught Arch lantern in The Battlefields and follow these steps to find the first Eternal Guard member.

1. From the lantern, backtrack until you reach a fork in the path.
2. Take the right-hand path and follow it around the camp.
3. Continue until you reach another fork where two enemies are standing.
4. Take the left path and look for the growth blocking the wall.
5. Use your pistol or rapier to destroy the growth.
6. Go through the newly accessible passage to find the first Eternal Guardist.

Defeat the Eternal Guardist and collect the pyramid he drops before moving on to the next location.

Eternal Guard #2 – Fallen Village: Marketplace

<text color=”secondary” size=”sm”>Location: Marketplace lantern</text> The second Eternal Guard member is hidden inside a cave near the Marketplace in Fallen Village. You will need the ability to pull out growths, which becomes available later in the main story.

1. Start at the Marketplace lantern and turn around.
2. Backtrack through the wagon.
3. Before using the shortcut in front of you, turn left.
4. Use your growth-removal ability to clear the growths in the area.
5. Continue by wall-running through the next section.
6. Follow the path until you reach a cave.
7. Enter the cave and find the second Eternal Guardist.

Defeat the enemy and collect the pyramid. If you haven’t unlocked the required ability yet, return after progressing further through the story.

Eternal Guard #3 – Valley of Ashes: The Climb

1. Start at The Climb lantern and ride the nearby lift to the top.
2. Continue along the cliffside.
3. Keep moving until you reach wooden structures beneath a large bridge, where enemies are waiting.
4. After passing this area, look for a path that leads upward and to the right.
5. Do not take the upward path. Instead, look below for another green path following the cliff to the right.
6. Follow this lower path to its end.
7. You will find the third Eternal Guardist there.

Defeat the Eternal Guardist and collect the third pyramid.

Eternal Guard #4 – Caverns: Old Mine

<text color=”secondary” size=”sm”>Location: Old Mine</text> The fourth Eternal Guard member is hidden behind a crate puzzle in the Old Mine. You will need to use the lever and Stasis Transmutation to reach the upper section.

1. Follow the main path from the Old Mine until you reach the room containing a lever and a movable crate.
2. Use the lever to raise the crate.
3. Activate Stasis Transmutation to stop the crate halfway up, following the same process used during your first visit to this area.
4. Stand on the crate.
5. Interact with the cogs to disable Stasis and allow the crate to rise further.
6. When the crate reaches the upper section, jump off to the right.
7. Follow the corridor to find the fourth Eternal Guardist.

Defeat the Eternal Guardist and collect the pyramid to continue your progress toward the Oathbound quest.

Eternal Guard #5 – Cursed Hollow: Village Church

1. Start at the Village Church lantern.
2. Use the nearby shortcut to reach the open fields leading toward the church.
3. If you haven’t unlocked the shortcut, follow the main story path until you reach the church.
4. Once you enter the open fields, move straight ahead while heading slightly to the left.
5. Look behind a house surrounded by hay.
6. Find and defeat the fifth Eternal Guardist.

Collect the pyramid after defeating the enemy before continuing to the City of Orphans.

Eternal Guard #6 – City of Orphans: Shamble Street

<text color=”secondary” size=”sm”>Location: Shamble Street lantern</text> The sixth Eternal Guard member is located beyond a poisonous area in the City of Orphans. This route requires Shield Transmutation, which you obtain from the University later in the main story.

1. Start at the Shamble Street lantern.
2. Use the gate shortcut beside the lantern to reach the waterfront.
3. Turn left and enter the area containing the tall enemies.
4. Continue straight through the poison area using Shield Transmutation.
5. Follow the route through the alley on the left.
6. Move through the building to reach the other side of the growth blocking the route.
7. Destroy the growth using a node from this side.
8. Turn left to find the sixth Eternal Guardist.

Defeat the Eternal Guardist and collect the pyramid. If you cannot safely cross the poison area, return after unlocking Shield Transmutation.

Eternal Guard #7 – Fortress: Courtyard

<text color=”secondary” size=”sm”>Location: Fortress Courtyard</text> The seventh Eternal Guard member is different from the others because you do not need to defeat him. He is already dead, and your task is to loot the required items from his body.

1. Start at the Courtyard in the Fortress.
2. Go through the arch on the left, following the main story route.
3. Turn left and find the red-eyed enemy.
4. Defeat the red-eyed enemy.
5. Look at the floor beside it to find the dead Eternal Guardist.
6. Loot the items from his body to collect the final pyramid and complete your collection.

Once you have all seven pyramids, you should obtain the Mysterious Stone Slab, which is needed to finish the Oathbound side quest.

How to Complete the Oathbound Side Quest

After collecting all seven Eternal Guard pyramids and obtaining the Mysterious Stone Slab, return to the Fortress Courtyard to finish the quest.

1. Go to the area where you found the seventh Eternal Guard member beside the red-eyed enemy.
2. Look toward the opposite end of the corridor.
3. Examine the symbol on the wall to open a secret room.
4. Enter the room and find the note on the table.
5. Examine the note to finish the Oathbound side quest.
6. Before leaving, make sure to loot the chests around the room.

Completing these steps finishes the quest and unlocks the We Wear the Same Colours Gold Trophy.
