Terminal Escape Room Disco-Tech Walkthrough – Season 2

If you’ve just reached the Disco-Tech room in Terminal Escape Room Season 2 (Year 2012), you’re probably already wondering what you’ve gotten yourself into. At first it looks like an abandoned nightclub, but after a few minutes you realize this chapter throws almost every puzzle type at you—ladders, fingerprints, wiring, lasers, music, logic puzzles, bottle sorting, evidence collection, and even networking.

I won’t lie, this is easily one of the smartest rooms in Season 2. It’s challenging, but it’s also incredibly satisfying once everything starts clicking together. The biggest mistake most players make is rushing from one puzzle to another without collecting evidence or reading the clues carefully. This room rewards patience much more than speed.

I’ll walk you through every major puzzle exactly as you encounter it, explain why each solution works instead of simply telling you the answer, and point out the things that are easy to miss.

Terminal Escape Room Disco-Tech Walkthrough – Season 2 Part 1 – Complete Puzzle Guide & Solutions

The moment you enter Disco-Tech, don’t immediately run toward the puzzles.

Instead, grab everything available inside the van:

  • Camera
  • Portable Ladder Kit
  • Fingerprinting Kit
  • Blank Flash Drive

Your camera is especially important because this chapter contains 19 pieces of evidence, and many of them require taking photographs. Missing evidence now means extra backtracking later.

Whenever you notice something suspicious, take the picture immediately instead of telling yourself you’ll come back later.

Solve the Portable Ladder Puzzle

Your first real obstacle is the ladder puzzle.

The ladder kit contains three ladder sizes:

  • Short
  • Medium
  • Long

There are two important rules:

  • Ladders cannot be stacked directly on top of another ladder.
  • You can climb up and down ladders, but horizontal movement only happens across platforms.

Because of these restrictions, the puzzle isn’t about reaching the highest point immediately. It’s about preserving the correct ladder sizes for later sections.

A good route looks like this:

  • Begin using a short ladder to reach the first platform.
  • Continue climbing while avoiding unnecessary short ladder placements.
  • When blocked, remember you can climb back down another ladder to access different ledges.
  • Save the long ladder until you’re standing on the lower middle platform where it reaches the higher ledge efficiently.
  • Finish with medium and short ladders to reach the final platform.

Many first attempts fail because players waste all their short ladders early, leaving no way to finish the climb.

Search the Upper Area for Evidence

Once you’re on the upper platform, don’t rush toward the keypad.

Walk around first and collect every photograph you can.

Some of the early evidence includes:

  • Newspaper
  • Posters
  • USB cables
  • Other suspicious objects around the room

These all count toward the investigation board later.

Open the First Security Gate

You’ll eventually find a keypad blocking your progress.

Instead of randomly entering numbers, pull out the Fingerprinting Kit.

Dust the keypad and you’ll reveal four numbers that were pressed.

The visible digits are:

3, 4, 6, 0

The brightest fingerprint was pressed first, while the faintest was pressed last.

Following the fingerprint intensity gives the correct code:

3640

Enter the code to open the gate.

Solve the Electrical Wiring Puzzle

Inside the next section you’ll find an electrical box with several labelled wires.

Unlike previous puzzles, this one is random every playthrough, so there isn’t a universal solution.

Fortunately, the game gives feedback.

Every light that turns on represents one correctly connected wire.

The easiest strategy is:

  1. Start with every wire connected straight down.
  2. Check how many lights appear.
  3. Swap only two wires at a time.
  4. Watch whether your score increases or decreases.
  5. Keep notes of confirmed correct positions.
  6. Repeat until all lights are lit.

Think of it like solving a Mastermind puzzle.

Instead of guessing randomly, every swap gives information that helps narrow the remaining possibilities.

Eventually every indicator lights up, allowing you to close the electrical panel and restore power.

Open the Code Check Room

Once the power returns, you’ll notice a locked Code Check room watched by security cameras.

Nearby are two collectible mirrors.

Install them into the laser mounts.

The goal is simple:

  • Redirect one laser into the lower camera.
  • Redirect the second laser into the upper camera.

One mirror only needs a 90-degree reflection, while the other requires rotating twice before it points correctly.

Destroying both cameras unlocks the Code Check room.

Solve the DJ Music Puzzle

This is probably the puzzle that gives players the most trouble.

Inside the DJ booth you’ll discover the clue:

The password is hidden inside a custom song created from different music tracks.

The DJ mixed together:

  • Drum
  • Lead
  • Bass
  • Clap

Each sound came from one of several numbered songs.

Your job is to identify which song each instrument belongs to.

Listening carefully reveals:

Instrument Song ID
Drum 4
Lead 6
Bass 8
Clap 9

That gives the keypad code:

4689

Enter it to unlock the cabinet and collect the Bathroom Key.

Explore the Bathroom

Unlock the restroom.

Inside you’ll find:

  • More evidence
  • Two double mirrors

Take both mirrors.

You’ll need them almost immediately.

Second Laser Mirror Puzzle

Return upstairs.

This puzzle expands on the first one.

Instead of redirecting two simple beams, you now have to use the new double mirrors to create multiple reflections that eventually strike the remaining security cameras.

The intended solution uses:

  • One double mirror to split a beam
  • Another double mirror to create a ricochet
  • Single mirrors to guide the reflected laser

Once both cameras are disabled, the next room opens.

Organise the Bottle Shelves

This puzzle looks overwhelming at first because there are 18 bottles spread across three shelves.

You’ll first need to collect the missing bottles hidden around the room.

After that, the clues tell you:

  • Every recipe uses ingredients from certain shelves.
  • Bottles must also end up in alphabetical order.

The recipe clues allow you to determine which shelf each ingredient belongs to.

The final arrangement becomes:

Top Shelf

  • Apple Cider
  • Blueberry Soda
  • Chocolate Milk
  • Lemonade
  • Lime Juice
  • Super Soda

Middle Shelf

  • Black Tea
  • Cranberry Juice
  • Grape Juice
  • Green Tea
  • Orange Juice
  • Root Beer

Bottom Shelf

  • Herbo Tea
  • Lemon Juice
  • Milk
  • Orange Soda
  • Pink Lemonade
  • Strawberry Soda

Once every bottle is correctly positioned, you’ll receive the Kitchen Key.

Kitchen Laser Splitter Puzzle

The kitchen introduces splitters, making laser routing much more complicated.

Instead of reflecting a single beam, you now create multiple laser paths that eventually strike both disco balls.

The intended setup creates two independent routes:

  • One beam passes through a splitter before reaching the first disco ball.
  • The second loops around several mirrors before reaching the other disco ball.

When positioned correctly, both disco balls activate.

Complete the Disco Floor Puzzle

A hidden switch activates an 8×8 dance floor.

Nearby is an 8×8 numbered map.

The rules are:

  • Begin at 1.
  • Finish at 13.
  • Visit every numbered square in order.
  • Cover every tile.
  • No diagonal movement.

Treat the paper as the exact layout of the dance floor.

Following its route completes the puzzle and opens a hidden room.

Before entering…

Take every remaining evidence photo.

You should now have all 19 evidence pieces.

Build the Evidence Board

Use your camera to print every photo.

Now place them onto the investigation board.

The trick isn’t their exact positions.

Instead, connect related evidence together.

Almost everything belongs to one of two timelines:

1980s Evidence

These relate to Disco-Tech when it originally operated.

Examples include:

  • Old advertisements
  • Mind control experiment reports
  • Historical newspaper
  • Data banks
  • Original club equipment

Recent Evidence

These relate to someone recently entering the building.

Examples include:

  • Broken window
  • Wet muddy footprints
  • Modern energy drinks
  • Flip phone
  • Dino Town items
  • Toxic water
  • Skeleton key
  • Haunted activity
  • Fresh footprints

As long as connected evidence belongs to the same timeline, the board accepts the solution.

Download the Hidden Data

Many players accidentally skip this because of a current bug.

The intended solution requires using the blank flash drive.

Insert it into the terminal.

You’ll now face the final networking puzzle.

Server Network Logic Puzzle Solution

Use the clue sheet to assign every server to its correct network.

The final order is:

Server Network
C 1
A 2
E 3
G 4
H 5
D 6
B 7
F 8

Input every server accordingly.

The download completes.

Remove your flash drive.

Escape Disco-Tech

With:

  • All 19 evidence collected
  • Evidence board completed
  • Data downloaded
  • Flash drive retrieved

You can finally leave Disco-Tech and officially complete Terminal Escape Room Season 2 – Year 2012 Part 1.

This chapter is much longer than previous rooms, but it’s also one of the most creative. Almost every puzzle builds on a mechanic you’ve already learned, whether that’s mirrors, logic deduction, observation, or careful listening. It can feel intimidating the first time through, but once you understand how each puzzle is meant to be approached instead of brute-forced, the entire room becomes much more enjoyable. If any puzzle deserves a replay just to appreciate its design, it’s definitely Disco-Tech.
