TDS Tower Destiny Survive Guide Wiki – Cheats & Strategy

1. Always Claim Your Free Rewards First

Before you do anything else in TDS, head over to the Shop Area.

  • You can watch up to 2 ads per day for 10 gems each, giving you 20 free gems daily.
  • You can roll for equipment for free 3 times per day by watching ads.
  • Don’t overlook these! Especially early game, these freebies can give you a real boost.

If you’re impatient about cooldowns, try setting your device clock ahead manually to refresh the ad timer. This old trick may still work.

2. Understand Equipment and Rarity Tiers

Your character can equip:

  • Weapons (Main, Secondary)
  • Grenades
  • Armor
  • Hats

All gear affects your stats, mostly health and damage. Higher rarity = better stats.

Here’s how the rarity system works (from lowest to highest):

  • Common
  • Great
  • Excellent
  • Rare
  • Unique
  • Epic
  • Legendary
  • Eternal
  • Supreme
  • Mythic
  • Immortal

You unlock better gear by doing multi-summons using gems. A 10x summon costs 50 gems.

Pro Tip:
Do more summons to increase your “Summon Tier,” which boosts your chance of getting Immortal-grade loot.

3. Upgrade Weapons and Carryover Gold

Visit the Weapon Upgrade area frequently.

  • Weapons are divided by range:
    • Short-range: Saw, Shocker
    • Mid-range: Flamethrower, Laser
    • Long-range: Machine gun, others unlocked later

Each has its uses, but long-range weapons are expensive.

Also, upgrade your backpack so you can carry gold between chapters. This gives you a head-start when beginning a new chapter.

4. How to Place Blocks and Towers Smartly

Let’s talk Tower Placement.

  • Always start your first row with a short-range weapon. A long-range unit here is wasted.
  • Place a shocker early—it deals fast rapid-fire damage and has a special electric wave attack.
  • Once you have more coins, invest in mid-range units like the Flamethrower, which can hit flying enemies and ground units at once.

When building your second row, save for a mid-range unit rather than rushing placement.

Energy Management Tip:

  • Upgrade energy regeneration to throw more grenades and specials faster.
  • Grenades cost less energy and are great for early crowd control.

5. How to Fight Bosses (and Cheese the System)

After clearing a chapter, its boss appears in the Boss Area.

  • Bosses have persistent HP, meaning damage you dealt in the previous run stays.
  • You earn coins per hit, not per kill.

You can fight bosses multiple times, but if they add a daily limit, just use this workaround:

  • Watch an ad to get another boss key.
  • Or again, try manually advancing your device clock to reset cooldowns.

During Boss Fights:

  • Time your grenades to land when the boss jumps to maximize damage.
  • Use flamethrowers and machine guns for heavy sustained damage.
  • Tap and hold to aim your primary weapon manually. This is key to dealing with flying mobs or precise boss shots.

6. Don’t Forget the Trash Can Mechanic

If you placed the wrong block or want to try a better weapon, you can:

  • Drag blocks to the trash can (top-left) to remove them.
  • Doing this actually gives you coins—you’re not penalized for fixing bad placements.

You can then use the coins to:

  • Rebuild with better blocks
  • Add mid/high-tier weapons
  • Invest in energy or health upgrades

7. Daily Progression and Grinding Tips

If you want to progress faster without spending money:

  • Check task list (top-right) to claim more free gems and coins.
  • Watch ads when prompted for extra rewards (equipment, gems, gold).
  • Sell duplicates of gear to get coins.
  • Keep your best rarity gear equipped at all times—Common or Great gear should be sold.

You can also play older bosses for farmable rewards, especially if you’ve already weakened them.

8. Final Battle Layout Example

Here’s a solid late-game boss layout:

  • First row: 2x shockers or saws
  • Second row: Flamethrower + Machine Gun
  • Upgrade: Energy, then Health, then Weapon Damage
  • Use: Grenades early, Specials for emergency, and manual aim always!

This setup can potentially one-shot bosses or clear rounds much faster than default builds.
