If you’re looking to automate your production in Schedule 1, this Schedule I Automation Guide – How to Automate Mixing guide will walk you through the step-by-step process of setting up an automated farm.
By hiring workers and assigning specific tasks, you can streamline production, packaging, and distribution.
Schedule I Automation Guide – How to Automate Mixing
Step 1: Hiring Workers for Automation
To begin automation, you’ll need to hire two types of workers:
- Handler – Responsible for moving ingredients, packaging products, and storing finished goods.
- Chemist (or Botanist) – Produces the main product by cooking or growing materials.
Assigning the Handler
Assign the handler to a bed to ensure they stay active.
Pay the handler so they continue working.
Go to Manage Handler and assign them to a Packaging Station.
Set up the routes:
- From: Storage area where raw materials (e.g., crystal and baggies) are kept.
- To: Packaging Station where products will be prepared.
Step 2: Setting Up the Chemist
- Assign the chemist to a bed and make sure they are paid.
- Assign the chemist to a Chemistry Station and an Oven.
- Open the Management Clipboard and do the following:
- Select the Chemistry Station and choose what the chemist should cook.
- Set the output destination for the product to the Oven.
- Manage the Oven and set its output destination to the same rack the handler uses.
How the Loop Works
The chemist will create the product and move it to the oven.
Once finished, the product goes to the designated storage rack.
The handler picks up the product, moves it to the Packaging Station, and prepares it for storage or sale.
Step 3: Automating Ingredient Supply
To keep automation running smoothly, the handler must also transport necessary ingredients for the chemist.
Manage the Handler and set up a new route:
- From: Storage rack containing key ingredients (e.g., pseudo acid and phosphorus).
- To: Chemistry Station for the chemist to use.
With this loop in place, the handler will ensure the chemist has a steady supply of materials.
Step 4: Managing Distribution
Once the production loop is complete, the only thing left is distribution.
Keep a steady supply of packaging materials and raw ingredients at the storage rack.
Use your phone’s delivery system to order bulk materials, which will save you trips to the store.
Optional: Automating the Mixing Station
If you want to introduce a Mixing Station, follow these steps:
- Manage the Lab Oven and set its output destination to the Mixing Station instead of storage.
- Set up additional routes for the handler:
From: Station containing mixed products.
To: Mixing Station.
From: Mixing Station.
To: Packaging Station.
Assign the chemist to the Mixing Station to produce mixed products.
Scaling Up Production
If you want to increase output, hire additional chemists or botanists and set up more automation loops. Each new worker should have:
Their own Chemistry Station and Oven. A dedicated Handler Route to transport materials.
This method will maximize efficiency and increase profits.
