Schedule 1 Storage Units Guide – Stash and Dash Location
What Are Storage Units in Schedule 1?
Storage Units are indoor properties you can purchase to expand your production, packaging, or lab operations. They offer flexibility and automation potential, especially as your empire grows. With recent updates, they’re more powerful than ever thanks to working loading bays and employee automation.
Storage Unit Locations & How to Get Them
1. Stash and Dash
- Location: Purchased from Rails Realty.
- Price: $5,000
- Tier: Sits between the Bungalow and Barn in progression.
It’s the perfect stepping stone if you’ve outgrown the Bungalow but aren’t ready for the Barn. It gives you a moderate floor space, supports full automation, and is ideal for early to mid-game players.
Best Uses for Storage Units
You can use storage units for:
- Early-game production expansion
- Dedicated grow rooms
- Fully-automated labs
- Packaging and supply staging
- Emergency stockpile (true to the name: “Stash and Dash”)
Let’s check into two of the most efficient setup strategies based on your game progression.
Grow Room Setup (Early/Mid Game)
Required Items:
- 8x Moisture Preserving Pots
- 8x Suspension Racks
- 8x Full Spectrum Grow Lights
- 3x Large Storage Racks
- 2x Beds
- 1x Trash Can
- 1x Trash Grabber
- 10x Modern Wall Lamps
Setup Steps:
Back Wall Layout:
Place all 8 pots along the back wall → Place racks directly above → Hang grow lights above the racks.
Storage Racks:
Line up 3 large racks on the right side for storing soil, fertilizer, seeds.
Beds & Utilities:
One bed for your botanist, one for yourself. Place a trash can and trash grabber near the bed.
Lighting:
Place wall lamps above racks, beds, and doors. You’ll get ambient lighting even with main lights off.
Assign the Employee:
Hire a Botanist, assign them a bed and one of the shelves for supplies.
Supply Setup:
Stock shelves with:
- 30x best available seeds
- 30x fertilizer
- 20x long-life soil
Set destination → assign seeds/fertilizer to large pots.
Add a second supply shelf in one rack. Next time you return, you’ll have an extra full rack of product waiting.
Automated Lab Setup (Late Game)
Required Equipment:
- 4x Chemistry Stations
- 4x Lab Ovens
- 10x Modern Wall Lamps
- 2x Beds
- 10x+ Large Storage Racks
Setup Process:
Chem Station & Oven Pairing:
- Place chemistry stations one square off the wall, facing opposing lab ovens.
Storage Grid:
- Place 4 racks directly behind the work area, then build out to 10+ large storage racks for final product.
Bed & Lighting:
- Place bed in corner, light every section with wall lamps. Keep trash utilities as needed.
Assign the Chemist:
- Hire and assign your chemist. Assign all chem stations and ovens.
Set Recipe & Routing:
Chemistry station: set to Liquid recipe
Output to → Lab oven
Lab oven: output to → nearest shelf
Cycle restocks every few in-game hours.
Long-Term Use:
Every return visit, drop off acid, pseudo, and phosphorus. Once a rack is full, reassign the output to the next shelf. Rinse and repeat for up to 80 bricks of product stored.
Employee Limits
Each storage unit currently supports 1 employee only. Whether it’s a Botanist or a Chemist, choose based on your build. You can’t assign multiple staff, so plan your automation around that.
Loading Bay Automation (Post-Update)
Huge improvement:
All properties, including Barn, Bungalow, Stash and Dash, now support handler routing from loading bays. This used to be exclusive to the Bungalow. Now you can:
Route product from inside the Stash and Dash to your van automatically
Use it as a supply in/outpost
