Scarlet Deer Inn Toy Locations Guide – How to Find 10 Toys

If you’re going for all the collectibles in Scarlet Deer Inn, the Toys are definitely worth keeping an eye out for. There are 10 Toys in total, and the annoying part is that every single one of them is missable. So, unlike some collectibles that you can casually clean up after finishing the story, you’ll want to grab these as you come across them.

The good news is that the Toys usually aren’t hidden behind anything too ridiculous. Most of the time, the game gives you a small clue that something is off — a breakable wall, a suspicious-looking bush, a path you normally wouldn’t take, or a place where you can crouch through.

Scarlet Deer Inn Toy Locations Guide – How to Find 10 Toys

Collecting the first Toy unlocks the Sweet Memory achievement, while finding all 10 unlocks All Together.

I’ve listed them below in the order you’ll encounter them, so you can simply follow along during your playthrough.

Toy #1 – A Rag Doll

You’ll find the first Toy when you reach the caves for the first time.

After taking the elevator down, follow the path to the left until you reach a section where you have to jump on the floor to break through it. Once the floor gives way, don’t immediately continue left toward the breakable wall.

Instead, turn around and head to the right. You’ll find the Rag Doll waiting there.

This one is especially important because it’s the only Toy you can permanently miss. The area becomes inaccessible later in the story, so grab it before moving on.

Toy #2 – A Small Shepherd’s Flute

Continue forward from the Rag Doll and stick to the main path.

Eventually, you’ll come across a large box that you need to move to continue. Before you leave the area, take a closer look behind the box.

There’s a small opening hidden behind it that you can squeeze through. Go inside and you’ll find the Small Shepherd’s Flute.

It’s easy to walk right past this one if you’re focused on moving the box and continuing the story, so make sure you check behind it first.

Toy #3 – A Wooden Toy Sword

This one appears when you encounter the little monster wearing the red hood for the first time.

Normally, you’ll want to head toward the monster and continue the story, but don’t do that just yet.

Turn around and go left. You’ll find a low passage that you can crouch through. Follow it to the other side and you’ll discover the Wooden Toy Sword.

It’s a simple detour, but the game doesn’t exactly advertise that you can go this way.

Toy #4 – A Wooden Goose

You’ll reach this Toy during the section where you’re working on the water wheel and need to obtain a key to open the gate.

Once you’re in this area, head all the way to the right. You’ll eventually come across a ladder leading downward.

Climb down the ladder and look toward the right. You’ll see some bushes blocking a small passage.

Use your fire to burn the bushes, then crouch through the opening. Continue through the passage and you’ll find the Wooden Goose.

Toy #5 – A Stick Horse

The fifth Toy is actually very close to the previous one.

After collecting the Wooden Goose, head back toward the left. You’ll come across a wall that can be broken.

Break through the wall and enter the first door you come across. The Stick Horse is inside.

So if you’re already in the area for Toy #4, don’t rush away after picking it up. Toy #5 is basically sitting on the route back.

Toy #6 – A Clay Whistle

You’ll find the next Toy during the section where you’re climbing vines.

As you make your way through this area, jump over toward the right side and light the torch there. Continue heading right and you’ll eventually run into a monster blocking your way.

Take care of the monster and keep going all the way to the right.

At the end of the path, you’ll find the Clay Whistle.

This one is fairly straightforward once you know that the important part is simply continuing past the enemy instead of turning around.

Toy #7 – A Toy Knight Figure

Good news — you don’t have to travel far for the next one.

From the location of the Clay Whistle, continue climbing the vines. Instead of stopping once you reach the next section, keep going all the way to the top.

You’ll find the Toy Knight Figure waiting for you there.

This is one of the easier Toys to collect because it’s directly along the route, but it’s still worth checking the top before moving on.

Toy #8 – A Wooden Toy Boat

You’ll find this Toy during the section with the hanging fireflies and waterfall in the background.

At one point, the story will encourage you to head to the right to chase the little red-hooded monster.

Don’t follow it immediately.

Instead, go left and look for the path underneath the water. Move through that section and you’ll discover the Wooden Toy Boat.

This is a classic Scarlet Deer Inn collectible hiding just off the obvious story path. If you simply follow the monster, you’ll miss the turn.

Toy #9 – A Toy Bow

After the story event where you lose your firefly, you’ll eventually recover your torch.

Once you have the torch back, head right and climb the stairs directly in front of you.

At the top, turn left. You’ll find some bushes blocking the way.

Burn the bushes with your torch and go through the opening. The Toy Bow is on the other side.

It’s another collectible where the game expects you to notice that a seemingly ordinary patch of bushes is actually hiding a path.

Toy #10 – A Toy Drum

The final Toy comes during the section where you need to burn a rope with your torch so that a box drops down and allows you to continue.

Before burning that rope, stop for a second.

Head all the way to the right and look for another group of bushes. Burn them with your torch and pass through the opening.

Keep going through the newly revealed path and you’ll find the Toy Drum, which is the tenth and final Toy.

Once you’ve picked it up, you’ve completed the entire Toy collection.

Scarlet Deer Inn Toy Achievements

There are two achievements tied directly to the Toy collectibles.

Sweet Memory — Find your first Toy.

All Together — Find all 10 Toys.

The important thing to remember is that all 10 Toys are missable, so don’t assume you’ll be able to come back later and clean them up. Whenever the game gives you an optional-looking path, especially one involving a breakable wall, bushes, water, or a small opening, it’s worth checking it before progressing.

If you’re following this guide as you play, the safest approach is simply to collect each Toy before moving on from its area. That way, you won’t finish the game and then realize you have to replay large sections just because one little wooden toy was hiding behind a bush.
