The Treachery Update just dropped in Sakura Stand, and it’s a big one. Not only does it introduce the long-awaited Aizen Sosuke spec, but it also overhauls parts of the map, adds new enemies and materials, and sets the stage for future Hollow and Soul Reaper content.
Here’s a full breakdown of everything new — what it means, how to unlock it, and what’s coming next.
Sakura Stand Treachery Update – Aizen Spec, Hueco Mundo Rework
1. Aizen Spec
Aizen Sosuke is officially in the game — but this is just the pre-Hōgyoku fusion version for now.
You can unlock him by progressing through a special Soul Reaper-only questline, but more forms are confirmed to come later (including Hōgyoku-fused evolutions).
How to Unlock Aizen:
- First, become a Soul Reaper
- Then, reach Mastery 5 or higher
- After that, talk to Aizen to begin his questline
The process is straightforward once you meet the requirements. Also, his “T” move comes with a built-in execution — if you hit a player below 20% HP, it finishes them off.
2. Becoming a Soul Reaper
Not a Soul Reaper yet? Here’s how to do it:
- Equip the starter katana spec
- Defeat normal hollows (not Menos or other special types)
- Eventually, you’ll be given the Soul Reaper spec
This process is based on drop chance, not level, so expect to grind a bit. Once unlocked, you’ll gain access to Aizen’s path and other reaper-related content.
3. New Boss: Barragan Louisenbairn
The King of Hueco Mundo is now a boss fight you can challenge. His exact role isn’t fully detailed yet, but expect a tough fight — and possibly future relevance in higher-tier specs or evolutions.
- Location: Likely inside the new Hueco Mundo map
- Drops: Unknown (but assumed to tie into Hollow-themed crafting)
4. New NPC: Evil Rest
There’s also a new NPC named Evil Rest, found in Las Noches. Right now, he might be tied to progression or lore, but expect him to become important for upcoming storylines or evolutions (possibly Arrancar or Espada-related).
5. New Crafting System: Hōgyoku Progression
This update introduces a new crafting tier revolving around the Hōgyoku, starting with its incomplete form.
Here’s how it works:
Materials You’ll Need:
- Cracked Mask – Drops from normal Hollows
- Shattered Hollow Soul – Also from normal Hollows
Use these to craft the Incomplete Hōgyoku. While it doesn’t do much yet, it’s clearly part of a long-term evolution path — especially for Aizen.
The Completed Hōgyoku item exists in-game but can’t be obtained yet. Expect this to unlock fused or awakened Aizen forms later down the line.
6. Reworked Hueco Mundo Map
Hueco Mundo has been completely moved to its own dedicated world/map, separating it from other zones. The map is visually overhauled and should feel more lore-accurate.
Key locations now include:
- Las Noches (housing Evil Rest and probably Barragan)
- Entry points from the main game or Soul Society (depending on your spec/progression)
This shift allows for more focused Hollow-related content going forward — and opens the door for future quests, bosses, and crafting systems.
7. Bonus: Green Screen Room for Creators
Content creators can now access a dedicated green screen room for clean screenshots or thumbnails.
- Location: A building near the Forbidden Groves entrance
Useful for YouTubers, thumbnail editors, or anyone making fan content.
8. Codes You Can Use Right Now
Here are the latest working codes from the Treachery Update:
ShatterKyokasuigetsu
HuecoMundoExpansion
EvilRest
SOUL DESTRUCTION
Redeem them in-game for free rewards like currency, boosts, or possible event materials. Be quick — codes tend to expire fast in Sakura Stand.
9. What’s Coming Next?
The developers have already laid out what’s on the horizon:
- October Update: Focused entirely on the Chainsaw Man series
- Not just one spec — expect multiple characters
- Halloween Event: Only one confirmed spec so far — Kaneki
- The rest will remain secret until release
The Treachery Update brings a solid amount of content, but more importantly, it lays the groundwork for something much bigger. With Aizen’s future forms, Hōgyoku crafting, and a fully rebuilt Hueco Mundo, we’re likely looking at a full arc of Soul Reaper and Hollow progression over the next few months.
