Welcome to Bloodlines — a hardcore, PvP-focused Roblox RPG with permanent death mechanics, deep faction systems, and tons of customization. It can feel overwhelming at first, but this guide will walk you through every major system step-by-step so you can survive, grow stronger, and make your mark in this brutal world.
Bloodlines Beginner Guide
1. Understand the Permadeath System
Bloodlines is a permadeath game, but don’t panic. Dying doesn’t immediately delete your character. Instead, you have a life force bar — represented by a green ring. Every time you die, you lose a portion of it. Run out, and you wipe permanently.
- You can restore life force using items, events, or specific skills.
- Life force loss is reduced for new players.
- A teleporting NPC named Arromo may save you from dying early on if you have his blessing equipped.
Pro Tip: Avoid early PvP. You’re still learning the ropes and death can be costly.
2. Starting Out: Villages, Points, and Travel
You’ll spawn in either:
- Serithia Village (forest)
- Durana Village (desert)
Step-by-Step Goals:
- Unlock nearby Choker Points (fast travel nodes) by pressing
E
near them. - Travel between Choker Points once you’ve unlocked at least two.
- Serithia is safer for new players, especially if you want to gather fruit for money.
If you spawn in Durana, follow the path to Serithia — you’ll unlock more travel points along the way.
3. Basic Movement and Survival Skills
Press M
to open inventory. Drag Arromo’s Blessing to a skill slot to equip it. Holding this item increases your odds of being saved from death.
Early on, unlock these key abilities:
- Substitution (Q): Dodge fatal blows by teleporting away — essential in PvP and PvE.
- Chakra Jump (C + Space): Lets you scale walls and trees.
- Aerial Heavy Attack (Right-Click mid-air): Combo extender and block breaker.
- Triple Jump: Grants massive mobility. Unlock it after Aerial Heavy.
4. Earning Rio (Currency)
Everything costs Rio — from unlocking skills to buying armor. Early methods:
Fruit Gathering:
- Climb trees in Serithia.
- Pick fruits with a click (block with
F
to avoid triggering combat). - Sell to Fruit Merchants in any village or Fort Mellow.
D-Rank Missions (after joining a village):
- Deliver packages or defeat weak NPCs.
- You’ll see a yellow ? marker for objectives.
5. Joining a Village
To join a village:
Be in Neutral Faction with 0 Sin.
Find the Sensei NPC in any main building.
Once you join, you can:
- Access missions
- Get Rio from the Kage NPC
- Start progressing your build
Don’t stress about which village to pick. You can change later.
6. Training Quests (Do These First)
Combat Instructor Quest:
Head to Training Grounds.
Hit the logs until an NPC spawns.
Defeat it and grab the Green Broken Armor Piece.
Give it to the Combat Instructor.
Reward: Rio, Chakra Fragment, and a vital Combat Scroll.
Only green armor drops count. Ignore blue ones from greatsword NPCs.
Training Bells Quest:
Talk to the Training Instructor at the same location.
Ask if he has anything to help — buy a Key for 10 Rio.
Follow the wall path, open the gate, grab the bells, return.
Reward: Seamless Run passive, more Rio, chakra fragments, and Parkour Scroll.
7. Unlocking Skill Paths
What You Need:
- Chakra Shard
- Chakra Point to destroy
- 100 Rio and 1 Chakra Fragment
Process:
Sit at a chakra point → choose “Destroy” → get a Shocker Shard.
This increases max health/chakra, grants a Trait, and lets you unlock a Skill Path.
You can destroy one chakra point per age up, so choose wisely.
You start at age 15. You age up every 30–60 minutes depending on your current age.
8. Corrupted Points = Fast Rio
Look like chakra points, but red.
Hit them to spawn enemies.
Defeat enemies → collect broken armor → sell for Rio.
Strong enemies and bosses can spawn. Stay alert.
Corrupted points also drop gems, rings, and rare loot.
Take the Corrupted Point Mission from your village board to guarantee a spawn.
9. Weapons and Armor
Weapon Tiers:
Silver: Cheap, can be infused with effects (e.g., poison).
Gold: Middle-tier. Infusable with a passive skill.
Onyx: Strongest, most expensive. Some require skill path unlocks.
You can find:
Swords & Kunai in Bio Bay
Greatswords near Rosemary Pit
Spears in Training Grounds
Azumi weapons in Rain Village
Always Soul Bind your weapon at Training Grounds with a Chakra Fragment — otherwise, you’ll lose it on death.
10. Armor & Ring System
Buy armor from vendors or find drops.
You don’t lose armor when you die.
Armor can be upgraded at Fort Melo using a Redsmith Mold from the Barbarian Boss.
Rings:
Found in corrupted points or boss rooms.
Can be upgraded using Ring Schematics at Fort Melo.
Not all rings can be upgraded.
11. Restoring Life Force
Ways to recover life force:
Global Events
Glowing Fruits (e.g., Life Up, Forgetfulness, Chakra Fruit)
Improved Stomach Skill Path (lets you spawn more fruit)
Carry food to refill your hunger bar, which increases healing rate.
12. Jutsu Mastery
Using a Jutsu many times lets you master it — reduces hand signs and can improve effects.
Talk to the Skill Specialist at Fort Melo.
Use Fruit of Forgetfulness to reset proficiency and master a new move.
Or use Mastery Scrolls (rare drop).
13. Sin and Going Rogue
Killing innocents, stealing, or attacking your own village racks up Sin.
- 25+ Sin = Automatic Rogue Status
- Rogues are enemies of everyone.
- Reduce Sin by:
- Completing quests
- Talking to Gamma (Frog NPC) at Rosemary Pit
If you clear your Sin with Gamma, you can return to neutral and rejoin a village later.
14. Awakening Skills
If you see a pink flame icon, you’ve unlocked an Awakening like:
- Lightning Cloak
- 100 Healings
- Bloodline powers
Upgrade your awakening timer at Rosemary Pit by talking to the Summoner NPC. This increases how long you can stay awakened in battle.
Bloodlines is harsh but rewarding. Once you understand how the systems connect — progression, combat, missions, and travel — the game opens up dramatically. Stick to this guide, and you’ll move from fresh spawn to feared ninja in no time.
