Raid Rush: Tower Defense TD is a popular real-time Tower Defense game that has downloaded in millions of players worldwide due its strategic gameplay and unique mechanics. When you play this for the first time, you may struggle to understanding the basics of the game.
In this Raid Rush Guide Wiki, we will walk you through all of the important things that you should keep in mind like Decks, Farming, and most important tower, how to farm Xp and some tips for beginners.
Raid Rush Guide Wiki – Best Decks & Farming Tips 2025
You have Normal chapters and Epic chapters. You progress to higher chapters by doing Normal chapters, but you develop your account by doing Epic chapters, as it is harder but gives better rewards. You can always go back and redo any of the chapters you’ve already finished. You do this in order to acquire additional towers, blueprints and gold.
IMPORTANT: Definitely do not use your gems to revive on waves, or to refresh towers the game offers you to place. Save them for more important things, such as Events or Heroes.
Your deck always consists of 6 Towers, which are split into 4 categories. You grow by merging same-category towers together to create higher grade and level towers which you use for more difficult chapters.
Grades of towers are: Normal (grey), Good (Green), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple), Epic+ (purple with gold border), Legendary (Gold), Legendary+ (Gold with red border), Relic (Red), Relic+ (Red with border), Supreme. Level 100 is max on a tower.
The higher the color, the higher the level can be. In order to grow levels, you need blueprints of the tower, and gold. You gain all 3 by playing Epic chapters.
Your deck also consists of 2 skills, where absolutely same rules apply as with Towers.
Keep in mind for both, that you cannot upgrade only 6 or 2 of them. Different chapters require different combinations and you need to upgrade many variations of towers. That being said, there are some, that are absolute rubbish: Disco, Bowling, Mines, Tornado…
At Account level 7 you open the possibility to use a hero. Hero’s make a huge difference. By upgrading them, you gain special skills, grow their damage and gain extra buffs. Aside from Astra, which is hard to get, my personal favourite is Mai. She hits both air and ground and adds amazing damage to Swift category towers. Heroes are what you should use your gems on.
You’ve grown stronger and know how to grind and win difficult levels. Now you need to push further.
Take part in events, such as:
WEEKEND EVENTS: where you can earn unique towers, gain gems, hero shards, and much more.
BOSS BRAWL: which is done within a clan, and can give you nice upgrade on your account.
MAYHEM EVENTS: which allows you to gain unique items and towers simply by being diligent.
SPINFINITY EVENT: which allows you to grow your Astra hero. New is coming in about a week btw.
BOSS LEVEL : Learn some “hacks” or tips and tricks to gain an extra advantage in the events.
Raid Rush Must Know Tips 2025
This game has limitless variations, which makes it impossible to have a perfect set! But it’s important to take into consideration when building a deck
1.class (±20% DMG)
The classes of enemy waves and type (ex. Air striker- swift/air) helmet logo is found underneath every chapter click it for a detailed enemy list. Also the guide is there to help you.
towers have 4 classes, and each tower has its unique passive skill (ex. Bowling can stun, Vulcan +crit)
heros also have class and passive, so take their class and passive into consideration as their passive mostly applies to towers of the same class as hero (ex. Mai passive at lvl30 +50%crit for all swift towers)
Towers
Each tower has its unique passive which can be unlocked via upgrading, same as heros, ex. Vulcan gives you a+20% crit when legendary and can reach as high as 60% at 6 stars I guess, so imagine that Mai with Vulcan can guarantee you up to 110% crit chance every time Vulcan hits.
3 skills and utility towers
Get familiar with the passive abilities for towers
(Ex. DMG boost, crit boost, atk speed boost, AOE DMG, stun, slow, freeze, etc.)
The combination of these factors mentioned above can help you create some wonderful strategies.
Raid Rush Farming Guide
For anyone wondering how to tell if a stage is good to farm before hand look at these things. This way you wont have to ask people.
What am I trying to farm?
Xp , Money, or Towers?
Xp.
Look for short levels with less but more powerfull enemies. There is a symbol for it. Level completion difficulty determines xp amount so pick as high a level that fits that criteria.
Money.
Money dropped is determined by the literal level of the enemies spawning in relation to the difficult of the level. Level 18 enemies on epic 34 drop twice the gold that level 18 enemies drop on level 44 and so on. This is why level 34 epic is so good. It has a quick turn around because you fight 796 enemies in 30 waves so each wave is 10 seconds max.
The enemies are very high level so there isn’t many to compensate. The enemies that spawn are 1.5 times the normal level. This makes them drop alot more gold. Look for this in earlier levels. A symbol will show more powerful enemies in the level description.
Towers / Blueprints.
They are both dropped by chance. Ive noticed over a few 1000 hours of playing this chance varies from level to level DRASTICALLY. level 22 is the best chance on average. Consistently dropping 15 – 20 and usually 1 in 4-5 runs dropping 25 plus towers and skills per run. The most I’ve ever had drop is 29 towers/skill in one run. No farming level compared to 22 epic for drops.
Chapter 30 Tips
Elsali
After many failed attempts and being defeated every time by the dreaded Sky Lord. I finally got my victory!. I always could manage to get through the first two bosses but always would lose a life to Augustus X.
I knew my tower selection was good and working. It was just a matter of getting the placement of my towers. That was the problem.
I learned I had to expand my kill zone further out from my base and start working on the boss to get his HP down. Using the Garrison tower was very helpful and slowing him down. I used Elemental towers exclusively on Sky Lord..
I used Laser, Fireworks, and Infernos at the base and Sky Guards further out. The Garrisons were essential to hold Sky Lord where he could take the most damage before he got to my base. Then when he got to the base, the Laser took hold and that’s when I dropped the Combat Charge on them for maximum damage.
Use Bomb Rain as a last resort for every wave.
Save all your cool down to the end for the very last wave 20 .
Motars and Infernos cleaned all ground adds.
Tip for Sniper Towers
Some of you may have already discovered this, and maybe some new people haven’t yet. So I thought it might be helpful to those who haven’t but have to selected a sniper tower, but not sure really what to do with it.
Most of you discovered sniper towers have a dead zone, and they really don’t work well placed on the path or the behind a tower because of this.
You can play some around the structure that’s already on your map or what you may not know you can place a path piece parallel on your map four blocks from your path. Then you can really use the majority of the radius as illustrated below.
When these towers are leveled up they do some serious damage to the boss. In addition, they can thin out to herd.
Raid Rush Team Setup
So I have found your basic formula for tower picks. That formula is 1 pure ground single target heavy hitter. This is your boss’s killer. 1 pure air damage dealing tower. This is to deal with air swarms. Two air and ground turrets. These are your jack-of-trades towers. Finally two what I call support towers. I will define these below.
Support towers are towers placed not to do damage but to aid other towers. The garrison and drone tower are both support towers. As is any weapon you put on the road.
Air and ground turrets. For me, I look to have aoe like the shocker tower and inferno towers or rapid towers like the laser or Vulcan.
How to use Wind + Fireworks to crush all air
I was wanting two more fireworks for the right lane. But even with only the two I was able to beat elite 18 and many other maps with this layout.
You try and get two fireworks per lane next to the base like I have in the left lane here. And then two wind towers on each side to line up with the fireworks.
The wind towers will blow them into the fireworks on the opposite lane and they return to get hit by fireworks again if you have them on both sides. Having Tesla in the middle is ideal to hit everything while it’s getting blown back and forth. Placing anti-air or other drone towers can also help. But basically set them up like my screenshot and even with fireworks on only one side. (18 elite is air dominant on the left lane until the last wave where it switches)
Great beginners overview. Thanks for putting this out there!
