No Rest for the Wicked THE BREACH Best Build Guide

Wolverine Build

Main Weapon: Rybuck’s Claws (Dual Wield Gauntlets)

Where to Get: Buy them from Aria, a new NPC found near the bridge behind the vendors in Sacrament.

Requirement: 19 Dexterity to equip.

Rune Attacks:

  • Drive Break (base rune) – Great for closing gaps and dealing solid burst damage.
  • Damage Surge (added rune) – Boosts overall damage.

Weapon Gem Setup

  • Life Steal – Currently unreliable; likely bugged or too weak to notice.
  • Max Stamina Increase – Helps you stay aggressive longer.
  • Stamina Cost Reduction – Essential for chaining attacks.
  • Electric Damage – Adds elemental punch.

Armor: Sacrament Guardian Set

A heavy set that still keeps you in the normal weight class with the right load management.

Helmet:

  • Max Focus
  • Focus Gain

Chestpiece:

  • Max Health
  • XP Boost

Gloves:

  • Focus Cost Reduction
  • Stamina Recovery

Pants:

  • Stamina Cost Reduction
  • XP Boost

Tanky yet balanced. You’re not going full heavy, but enough to withstand mid-game hits comfortably.

Rings

  • Stone Tusk Ring – Flat armor boost.
  • Jade Ring – Restores stamina on hit (great for non-stop brawling).
  • Crow Ring (Exalted) – Max stamina boost but drains health during combat.

Health drain is minimal and worth the stamina gain.

Exalted Crow Ring was found at Grinwich’s Shop — check his inventory frequently.

Stat Allocation (Early to Mid-Game)

  • Vitality: 2 Points – Just enough to stay alive.
  • Dexterity: 19 Points – Required for the gauntlets.
  • Equip Load: Dump the rest – Needed to stay in the normal weight class while using heavy armor.

Vendors and Upgrade Tips

Aria (Gauntlets):

  • Sells beginner and advanced gauntlets like Woven Wraps, Rybuck’s Claws, and Claws of the Crescent Moon.
  • Upgrade her shop to unlock higher-tier gauntlets.

Meera & Mari (Armor):

  • Filmore no longer sells armor. You’ll now find the Sacrament Guardian Set here.
  • Upgrading their shop is required.

Gordon’s Kitchen:

  • Upgrade it to get better food buffs.

Grinwich:

  • Keep checking his shop. He now sells exalted items occasionally.

Best Build Guide

Build Focus: Survive First, Shred Later

The key to thriving in Breach? Health, Stamina, and Strength. Here’s how you should distribute your early stat points:

Health: Top priority — more health equals better survivability, especially in hardcore mode.

Stamina: Helps you dodge, block, and stay in fights longer.

Strength: Boosts your damage output and unlocks key abilities like Shoulder Charge (exclusive to heavy builds).

You can always respec later, so start with safe stats to carry you through early-game bosses and exploration.

Unlock Shoulder Charge

Brian’s build revolves around being uber-heavy, and for good reason. Going heavy unlocks the Shoulder Charge ability — a game-changing move that:

Knocks enemies flat, giving you breathing room

Allows clutch healing opportunities during intense fights

Synergizes perfectly with strength-focused characters

Even if it doesn’t hit hard, it controls the battlefield — a massive plus in hardcore runs.

Gear Up: Enchanting, Enhancing & Upgrading

To stay ahead, you need your gear to evolve with you. Here’s how:

  • Enchant & Enhance: Start upgrading as soon as possible. Even low-tier boosts help.
  • Visit Thanos: He unlocks sacrament upgrades and allows access to better crafting stations.
  • Prioritize the Smithy: Upgrade both your weapons and armor here.
  • Farm Ore: Always carry an axe and gather ore on every run. You’ll need it for upgrades.

Don’t ignore crafting. Upgraded gear is often the difference between a win and a one-hit KO.

Farm Materials and Prioritize Food

Materials are everything in Breach. Here’s what to focus on:

Mushroom Soup & Fish Skewers: These foods help level up your workers, which speeds up crafting and construction projects.

Check Vendors Daily: Vendors refresh inventory, especially food crafting recipes and upgrade materials.

Never Sell Fallen Embers: These are vital for late-game and rare upgrades. Stash them for future use.

Prioritize recipes that boost your health or recovery — they’ll pay off fast in longer fights.

Weapon & Armor Vendors

The Breach update changed who upgrades what:

  • Meera & Mary: Handle armor upgrades.
  • Fillimore: Handles weapon upgrades and crafting at the anvil (once you unlock recipes).
  • Always pay attention to what each vendor offers, and build a routine of checking in often to avoid missing essential enhancements.
