This is a pretty bare bones and basic Mind Over Magic Dragon Guide guide to dragons as I couldn’t find any currently. It’s also my first time attempting to write any sort of guide for others, so I’d be grateful for any advice, corrections and suggestions.
Before attempting to raise the Jade Dragon I expect people to have researched and currently using T2 wands, the greenhouse, along with the apprentice teaching stations.
You also need to research some of the advanced meals (Meat and Veggies, Sweetmeat and Bloody scraps) [This can be delayed until your dragon is a juvenile] and potions (Potion of Recharging) [you need this anyway for T2 and T3 wands] (Potion of Greater Recharging) [Can be delayed until Juvenile]
Mind Over Magic Dragon Guide
The Eggplant: Upon revealing quite a bit of the land from fog you’ll get a message to bloom the Jade Eggplant. To make it bloom you need 3 apprentices
- Nature Skill 2 or better
- Nature & Dark Skill each at 2 or better
- Dark skill 2 or better
Afterwards you need to defend it from the fog and random Croa attacks until it grows fully. (I suggest doing a Superior Fog Repel with 3 teachers and 2 students with Tier 2 wands at around 8-9 Days left on the fog counter and immediately start the blooming ritual. So that you might only need to focus on the Croa)
*Start making a Dragon Aerie room before starting the next step (You need a lot of luxury if its still early-mid game for you)
The Egg: Now you must incubate the dragon egg using the Dragon Egg Incubator inside a greenhouse no ritual for now, only random Bramblespawn invasions will start targeting your greenhouse with the egg. You can attempt to cut the Bramblespawn only after it reaches the greenhouse, if you can deal 750 worth of nature skill in 3 hours (multiple mages and quilted lumberjacks are allowed to chop together) you won’t need to fight it.
Hatching the Egg: To perform the Hatch Dragon ritual you’ll need 2 mages (student or teacher doesn’t matter) with the following stats
- Nature Skill 4 or better + Dark Skill 3 or better
- Air Skill 4 or better + Earth Skill 3 or better
This is not necessary but before you hatch the egg make a priority 5 chest near/in the dragon aerie and store 1 stack of Bitterrice, Meat and Potion of Recharging each.
Baby Jade Dragon: The dragon now has 3 needs
Hunger – Bitterrice and Meat. Mana – Potion of Recharging. Affection – Students will need to pet the dragon.
Now I usually start micromanaging the dragon’s needs to make it not fall below the bar even forcing my students to feed/pet the dragon. Takes 3 days but the process is straight-forward but you really don’t want the care value to drop (Lower care value = lower bonuses = sadder players)
Once 3 days are over and the dragon has fully grown you have some breathing space, it’s needs/care value won’t drop until the next ritual.
So now is the perfect time to prepare for the last and hardest part
*If you added the chest as said before in step 3, remove the items inside the chest and start storing 1 stack of Meat and Veggies, Bloody Scraps, Sweetmeat and Potion of Greater Recharging each. And also be prepared to perform other miscellaneous rituals at Dining Table, Chalkboards in Advanced Classrooms and Enchantophones
Coming of Age: You’ll need 3 mages
- One with *Full* status – from just eating food
- One with *Rested* status – from sleeping
- One with *Tranquil* status – from recreating
Juvenile Jade Dragon : Micromanaging is still king and the process will still take 3 days same as before, with it asking for better food (Meat and Veggies, Bloody Scraps, Sweetmeat) and mana (Potion of Greater Recharging).
There’s only 2 key differences now, Its new need Whimsy [It will ask you to perform the miscellaneous rituals at classroom/dining tables/Enchantophones] and while the dragon is a Juvenile your school will be at a constant state of Gloom (Fog advances at 150% speed)
After your gruelling 3 days of work and micromanagement your dragon has fully grown and now it’s ready for the last ritual.
Adulthood: Again you’ll need 3 mages
- One with *Attended a Feast* status – from ritual at dining table
- One with *Danced the Night Away* status – from ritual at enchantophones
- One with *Did All The Work* status – from ritual at classroom chalkboard
The Jade Dragon : Congratulations you now have an Adult Jade Dragon [Hopefully with a Care Value of 100%]
